ABOUT THE PROGRAM
Leaders in business recognize the importance of strong communication skills, but few MBA programs offer more than foundational courses. At the same time, communications professionals recognize the importance of good business practices, but communication programs rarely offer business courses. Johns Hopkins University’s Krieger School of Arts and Sciences and Carey Business School recognize communications professionals need to develop both of these critical intellectual and leadership skills in order to tackle the complex challenges of their evolving field. The MA Communication/MBA dual degree program brings these two fields together to fill that need.

CURRICULA
Students pursuing the dual degree are required to take 10 courses for the MA, and 21 courses (42 credits) for the MBA. Courses for the MA in Communication are offered in Washington, DC
and online. Students may have to take some courses online. Courses for the MBA are offered in Washington, DC; and Columbia, Baltimore, and Rockville, MD.
APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS
