Whimsical Facets of Demonstrative Evidence In this day and age, most people adore watching crime based drama shows are screened civil courtroom cases on the television. What is it that draws us to such programs? Most people have no idea. But we always managed to let our eyes never stray away from the screen, commercials excluded of course. So while we are on the topic, let's talk about a really interesting facet of courtroom dramas that may be criminal cases or civil ones. What I'm talking about, here, is the evidence. The evidence presented in courts are the keys to unlocking the mysteries of the, still unsolved, crimes, legal frauds, illegal smuggling, etc. The types if evidence is mainly testimonial evidence or Demonstrative Evidence. Testimonial evidences are basically eyewitnesses, who have seen the said crime/ situation takes place or victims of the incident themselves. But these witnesses aren't always trustworthy. Evidence meanwhile, includes illustrative evidence like pictures, graphs or charts and actual live evidence such as bloody shoes, a glass of water with lipstick marks on it, a knife or some of the drug in a powdered form picked up from the scene. Demonstrative Evidence is much more reliable than witness testimonies because testimonies and witnesses can be bought or bribed into lying. Offering people a sum of money or emotionally blackmailing people who are attached to you is not a very hard job in these manipulative times. Articles found at the crime scene, on the other hand are extremely useful in many ways. Blood samples or lipstick traces can help to track the person down since they provide DNA samples. Pictures can help in identifying the victim or suspect. Charts, blueprints of graphs help by showing we mapped out exit routes at times. Before photos being used as evidence as well as other advanced demonstrative evidence, lawyers relied only on witnesses and objects found at crime scenes. Later, it was said that many of them could have been unjust. This evidence was introduced by Melvin Belli and Earl Rodgers At a later time period , scientific evidence came into being. Other demonstrative evidence includes video, tapes, movies, sounds, forensic evidence, maps, drawings, recordings, simulations, animations, models, and files on the suspect or victim. Also includes medical exhibits like x-rays, surgical exhibits and parts of the anatomy. This show is just how effective evidence, that is, not people, can be.
