It’s faster and easier than ever to file your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) This year’s new form asks fewer questions. With your consent, your past tax information can even be transferred to your FAFSA for you! WHY DO I NEED A FAFSA? JWU provides merit aid and/or scholarships to 98.5% of our in-person students — and YOU could qualify. Your FAFSA provides the info colleges need to make decisions about financial aid. WHAT DO I DO? Go to fafsa.gov and create a FAFSA ID; make sure each parent or guardian creates one, too. Then, the program can fill in your prior tax returns for you, meaning fewer questions to answer! When you’re invited to list the colleges your information is shared with, use school code 003404 for Johnson & Wales University.

WHEN DO I START? You’ll be able to file at fafsa.gov beginning in December 2023. WHY FILE ASAP? The sooner you complete your FAFSA, the sooner we can award financial aid! Plus, there’s a benefit to filing ASAP: if you complete your FAFSA by March 1, 2024, you’ll be eligible for a $1,000 FAFSA grant from JWU!

Your dedicated JWU financial planner can walk you and your family through any questions.

WE’VE GOT YOU, WILDCAT.
