Vibes, Great Eats Good

The food scene in Charlotte can’t be beat — while you’re here for a tour of our campus, you might as well explore the city one bite at a time. Head to NoDa, known as the arts district of the city, for an amazing selection of restaurants like Benny Pennello’s or Cabo Fish Tacos. Explore vibrant South End and try some classic BBQ at Mac’s Speed Shop or a cozy meal at Roots Café. Hop on the streetcar line to get to the laid-back neighborhood of Elizabeth for some ramen at Menya Daruma or ice cream at Elizabeth Creamery. Or stick close to campus by exploring Uptown, where you’ll find a variety of delicious options such as classic Southern food at The King’s Kitchen or a good steak at Church and Union.

JWU is just a short walk or drive from all this and more.
