Date To the Family of FName LName Street City, State ZIP Dear family, I am thrilled to extend my congratulations on FName officially joining the JWU Class of 2026. This is an exciting time for your family, and you must be very proud! JWU is among a select group of colleges with resources dedicated to the unique needs of parents and family members. My main responsibility is to serve as one of those resources, providing you with support throughout FName’s JWU journey. Families contact me when they’re not sure where to turn with a specific question, when they might have a concern about their student, and sometimes when they just need someone to listen. In addition to being a member of the JWU professional team, I have two recent college graduates in my family and can relate to many of the worries and joys you may experience over the next few years. Orientation is an important part of your student’s and family’s transition to JWU. Our plans for this summer’s orientation program continue to develop. Please encourage FName to keep an eye on their New Student Checklist and Wildcat email for more information. Our Orientation team will also communicate with families as soon as more details are available. Feel free to contact me now and throughout FName’s enrollment at JWU. I can be reached by phone at 401-598-2895 or by email at scardoza@jwu.edu. I wish you and FName the best in the days and months ahead and as you prepare to start your Wildcat journey. We all look forward to welcoming your family to campus! Sincerely,

Sandy Cardoza Associate Director of Parent & Family Relations
