Stella for Gap (for World AIDS Day)

Stella McCartney seems to have a major crush on Gap lately. Not only is she working on a second collection for Gap Kids, but she’s got a new t-shirt unveiling today. Commemorating World AIDS Day, the tee is part of Gap’s [RED] Collection, with 50% of the profits going to The Global Fund, which helps fight HIV / AIDS and other diseases in Africa. The shirt’s $28 and really cute; you can buy it here. B if your closet’s But l ’ already l d crammed d and d you still ill want to make k a donation d i - maybe b one that h goes directly di l to charity (AIDS-related or otherwise) - that’s cool too.

Glamchic.com Tuesday, November 24th, 2009 Stella + (PRODUCT) RED

Just months ago, ago Stella McCartney McCartney’s s designs for Gap Kids had us wishing we were still small enough to squeeze into children’s clothing. With the recent news of round two for the collaboration, we had our fingers crossed that the new line would include women’s wear, and as it turns out, we got our wish – sort of. While Stella isn’t designing the full line we hoped for, she has worked with Gap to release a (PRODUCT) RED Stella T featuring graphic red jewelry on a deep white v-neck tee. We love the look, and we love that we can now score Stella for $28 at Gap.com. Plus, half the profits go to the global fund to fight AIDS! Shopping and doing a good deed – perfect for the holiday season!

N November b 19 19, 2009 The Cherry (RED) iPod Nano Susan Fogwell, 11/19/09

I went to the Haight in San Francisco where I interviewed and filmed a few interesting characters, who after 42 years, still consider themselves hippies. years hippies I was able to shoot the interviews in portrait mode and, and later, later when I walked into Golden Gate Park, I shot in landscape mode. The sound quality was clear and crisp with the built-in microphone. The fun part was choosing from 15 real-time video effects making the video more appealing to viewers. While using the iPod nano, I found that the 2.2 inch color display allowed me to see more on the screen. After my g stint,, I stopped pp at a café for a cappuccino pp and tested the built-in FM radio. I listened to several songs, g , filming which I don’t own, so I simply tagged the songs, and purchased them later. There’s an extra feature on the iPod Nano, which I’m already dependent on; the built-in Pedometer. I have never owned a pedometer, and now I have one. I clocked 5 ½ miles walking the streets of San Francisco combined with filming a travel vignette as well as falling in love with my iPod RED nano. When I arrived home, I transferred my directorial debut to several friends, and voila, they were transported to S San Francisco F i ffor an amusing i ten-minute t i t ride. id The new iPod nano starts at $149.00 for the 8GB model. The 16GB model is $179.00. Choose from silver, black, purple, blue, green, yellow, orange, (PRODUCT) RED, or pink. All are polished aluminum and a 6.2 mm thin enclosure. By purchasing a RED iPod nano, 50 percent of gross profits from (RED), Bono’s organization, go to the Global Fund to help fund AIDS programs in Africa. Africa The organization builds revenue from what people are purchasing anyway. So this holiday season, if you purchase an iPod nano to give as a gift, choose a RED, and you will also be making a valuable donation at the same time.
