Segunda Exposición de Pintura Argentina en Pakistán Durante los casi 60 años de relaciones diplomáticas entre Argentina y Pakistán, podemos enumerar muchos éxitos bilaterales en muchas áreas de actividad, pero un sector que no ha sido explorado anteriormente, ha sido el cultural y en particular el concerniente a las artes plásticas. Es por ello, que en el mes de mayo de 2007 se llevó a cabo la Primera Exposición de Pintura Argentina en Pakistán, con la participación de 9 artistas argentinos. Dicha Muestra fue presentada en las ciudades de Islamabad y Lahore con un extraordinario éxito, reflejado en la amplia cobertura de prensa y en el éxito de sus ventas. Entusiasmados por tal resultado, hemos decidido volver nuevamente a la carga con una Segunda Exposición de Pintura Argentina, en la que participarán 14 artistas de nuestro país. Las obras serán expuestas en Lahore, en Karachi y nuevamente en Islamabad, pero esta vez en la nueva y moderna sede de la Embajada Argentina en Pakistán. La razón para efectuarla en el mes de mayo es para acompañar los festejos por un nuevo aniversario de la Fiesta Nacional de Argentina que conmemora el Primer Gobierno Independiente del 25 de Mayo de 1810. En estas líneas, queremos también agradecer especialmente al curador de la Muestra, la Sra. Roxana Punta Alvarez de Iriarte por su apoyo permanente, por su imaginación, y por su esfuerzo, condiciones que han permitido la concreción de ambas muestras del arte argentino. Como Embajador de la República Argentina doy la bienvenida, a través de este Catalogo, a la Segunda Exposición de Pintura Argentina en Pakistán, esperando que disfruten de la belleza del arte y que caminemos juntos el puente cultural que una a la Argentina con Pakistán a través de un silencioso y expresivo lenguaje visual.

*Second Exposition of Argentinean’s Pictures in Pakistan* During almost 60 years of diplomatic relationship between Argentina and Pakistan, we can enumerate lots of bilateral goals on various fields and activities, but one have never been explored before is the Cultural Sector, particularly Plastic Arts. Therefore, during May 2007, was made for the first time, an exposition of pictures from of 9 Argentinean artist in Pakistan. These exposition, arranged in the cities of Islamabad and Lahore was a huge achievement, reflected by the large cover up made by the Media, and the amount of sales. Animated by this accomplishment, we decide to do it again, with a second picture’s exposition, this time, with the participation of 14 artist from Argentina. The works will be show in Lahore and Karachi and further in the new and modern headquarter of the Embassy of Argentina in Islamabad. The preparation of this event during may 2009 come along with the festivities of the National Day commemorating the First Independent Government of Argentina on may 25th, 1810. We want to thanks particularly the caretaker of this exposition, Mrs. Roxana Punta Alvares de Iriarte, for her constantly support, imagination and efforts than had made possible both of these exhibitions of Art from Argentina. As the Ambassador of the Republic of Argentina, I want to welcome, through this catalog, the Second Exhibition of Argentinean Art in Pakistan. Enjoying the beauty of arts I invite you to walk together the cultural bridge between Argentina and Pakistan through the silent and expressive visual language.

Mil motivos A la manera de los antiguos viajeros que portaban ofrendas vernáculas para homenajear y difundir sus preciados bienes en latitudes lejanas y desconocidas, esta muestra argentina, por sus características, guarda parecidos similares con aquellas epopeyas. La cuidada selección que desarrollaron sus curadoras tiene como propuesta funcional abarcar, en la medida de lo posible, una expresión singular del quehacer artístico nacional. La propuesta de enfatizar su similitud con antiguas costumbres me sobreviene por ciertas peculiaridades que nos definen: nuestra extrema australidad, (contiguos al polo sur); la mayor cantidad de territorio y proteínas (hay más vacas que personas) por individuo de la tierra; nuestra acelerada movilidad social, probablemente la más fuerte de Latinoamérica, y un abanico muy amplio de inmigraciones fundantes. Esta topografía analítica tiene como intención mostrar el hecho particular de cómo una joven sociedad habita un suelo desnudo que le permite entrever en el origen de los tiempos su tradición como un deseo: oportuno simulacro que permite simbolizar la consistencia de lo que se carece. Los catorce artistas que comprometen esta embajada, reúnen, en su articulación, un significado metafórico de nuestra identidad, sesgada por un fuerte eclecticismo, patrimonio constitutivo de la argentinidad; que a la manera de aquellos antiguos viajeros, se ofrecen como referencia y homenaje a vosotros, legendarios pakistaníes, como dádiva del ser y notorio convencimiento del obrar.

Una vez más he cruzado océanos en búsqueda de este mi querido, y ya varias veces visitado, Pakistán. Islamabad, ciudad de contrastes, oro y polvo amasados me reciben abriéndome sus puertas con su gente cálida y clara. ¿Mi aporte?: La segunda muestra de pintura argentina de artistas, tanto consagrados como emergentes. Sí, una vez más. ¡Gracias a esta tierra! Gracias al señor Embajador que sin su apoyo incondicional esta muestra no hubiese podido ser realizada. One more time I travelled over several oceans to reach my so loved destination: the friendly skies of Pakistan. Islamabad, fascinating city of warm colors, mix of gold and sand, opened its doors to us once again. I am proud to have this second opportunity to show the Argentine art to the people of Pakistan. As in the previous show you’ll see both, painters with a worldwide acceptance and new artists that are emerging as future stars. Many thanks for their support to our ambassador Mr. Rodolfo Martin Saravia and to his charming wife Susana, to the local sponsors and to the Pakistani people that demonstrated a so intense interest in discovering our distant culture, the best way to build a friendly relationship between countries. Blanca Álvarez de Toledo, Licenciada en Filosofía en la Facultad de Filosofía y letras de la Universidad de Buenos Aires, residió durante 15 años en Paris, donde pudo incursionar en el mundo del diseño y también en la tarea cultural ya que en el Espace Cardin fue directora del Departamento latinoamericano durante 10 años. Álvarez de Toledo interesada desde su adolescencia en las artes plásticas continuó con su aprendizaje y su interés por el arte y la cultura en Buenos Aires, en Paris y en Nueva York fundó En 1991, en Buenos Aires la Academia del Sur, que aun continua con sus actividades, con el propósito de promover los estudios literarios y filosóficos así como de desarrollar una amplia actividad cultural. Por ella desfilaron destacados artistas e intelectuales, desde Carlos Fuentes a Héctor Bianchiotti, desde Marc Auge a Fernando Savater, desde Michel Onfray a Humberto Ecco. Blanca Álvarez de Toledo que ha frecuentado los talleres de Noe y Garabito en Buenos Aires y el de Virginia Jones en Uruguay. Ha expuesto en Argentina y en Uruguay en varias ocasiones e interesó a la crítica a partir de sus muestras en Dharma y Fines Arts en Buenos Aires como en Uruguay donde reside gran parte del año.-

Blanca Alvarez de Toledo obtained a degree in Philosophy and Philology at the University of Buenos Aires. She lived for 15 years in Paris, there she was introduced to the worlds of design and culture and eventually became Head of the Latinamerican Department at the Espace Cardin Centre for 10 years. Being interested since her youth in the fine arts she continued her pursuit and training in Buenos Aires, Paris and New York. In 1991 she founded the ‘Academia del Sur’ in Buenos Aires, which still today promotes philosophical and literary studies and developes extensive cultural activities. Many distinguished artists and renowned intellectuals, like Carlos Fuentes, Hector Bianchiotti, Marc Auge, Fernando Savater, Michel Onfray and Umberto Eco have passed through it. Blanca has also frequently visited Noe and Garabito’s art studios in Buenos Aires and also Virginia Jones’ in Uruguay. She has shown her work in Argentina and Uruguay on several occassions and received critical acclaim for her expositions at Dharma and Fine Arts in Buenos Aires as well as in Uruguay, where she currently resides during most of the year.

Pintor, argentino, que vive en Londres desde el año 1974, donde curso sus estudios de arte en Harrow School of Art y Hornsey College of Art en Londres, previamente en Argentina cursó en la Universidad de Filosofía y Letras, la carrera de Psicología. Además de la pintura, ha completado obras escenográficas para ballet y teatro en Londres, New York, Río de Janeiro y Buenos Aires. Es también pianista, la música, ha acompañado, contribuido y enriquecido su proceso creativo. A lo largo de su trayectoria desarrolló técnicas propias de murales y frescos, la mas reciente en el año 2006, fue la obra La Gran Resurrección de Ricardo Cinalli, en el Duomo de Terni, Umbría, Italia. Participó de muchas Muestras individuales, entre ellas: Museo de Arte Moderno de Latinoamérica, Washington D.C.; M.A.M., Río de Janeiro; Vanderwoude Tananbaum Gallery, N.Y.; Academia Italiana delle Arti, London; Museum of Modern Art, Ostende, Bélgica; Galleria d´ Arte Moderno e Contemporánea di Palazzo Forti, Verona; Centro Cultural Recoleta, Buenos Aires; Beaux Arts Gallery, Londres; Galería Mito de Arte Contemporánea, Barcelona; Espace Bazacle, Foundation E.D.F., Toulouse, Francia; Chapelle des Jesuites, Nimes, Francia; Museo Diocesano, Terni, Italia; Galleria Planetario, Trieste, Italia; Atlas Space Southbank, Londres; y recientemente una retrospectiva en el Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes, Buenos Aires. He is an Argentinean painter, who lives in London since 1974. He studied art the Harrow School of Art and Hornsey College in London. Previously he received a degree in Psychology at the University of Philosophy in Argentina. In addition to painting, he has built and designed set stages for ballet and theatre in London, New York, Rio de Janeiro and Buenos Aires. He also plays the piano, so music has also contributed and made an impact in his creative process. Throughout his career he has developed his own technique for murals and frescos; his most recent in 2006 was his piece “The Grand Resurrection of Ricardo Cinalli” at the Duomo of Terni in Umbria, Italy. He has shown his works in individual and group exhibitions in Argentina and overseas: Among them: Latin American Museum of Modern Art, Washington D.C.; M.A.M., Rio de Janeiro; Vanderwoude Tananbaum Gallery, New York; Academia Italiana delle Arti, London; Museum of Modern Art, Ostende, Belgium; Modern and Contemporary Gallerie d’Arte di Palazzo Forti, Verona; Recoleta Cultural Centre, Buenos Aires; Beaux Arts Gallery, London; Galeria Mito de Arte Contemporaneo, Barcelona; Espace Bazacle, Foundation E.D.F., Toulouse; Chapelle des Jesuites, Nimes; Museo Diocesiano, Terni, Italy; Galleria Planetario, Trieste, Italy; Atlas Space Southbank, London; and recently a restrospect in the Museo de Bellas Artes, Buenos Aires. Nacido en Suiza en 1917, y naturalizado argentino. Curso estudios de Agronomía en Europa y Estados Unidos, paralelamente con sus estudios de Arte. Estudio con los pintores Jorge Larco y Raúl Soldi y con el escultor Lucio Fontana. Durante más de tres décadas, transmitió su visión y sus técnicas en Escuelas Nacionales de Bellas Artes de Argentina, en las que fue docente y Jefe del Departamento de Cultura. Muchos son los artistas consagrados que se han formado tras su labor académica o en su taller particular. Desde 1946 comienza sus presentaciones en salones nacionales e internacionales, en los que resulta reconocido en numerosas oportunidades con premios y distinciones. Es Socio fundador del Centro Argentino de Arte Cerámico. Fue Asesor del Secretario Nacional de Cultura. Realizó diversos monumentos y murales, tanto en sitios públicos como privados. Muchas de sus obras están en poder de importantes coleccionistas particulares, así como en numerosos museos de Argentina, Uruguay, Brasil, España, Alemania, Reino Unido y Estados Unidos.

Born in Switzerland in 1917, he later adopted the Argentinean citizenship. He studied with painters Jorge Larco and Raul Soldi and also with the sculptor Lucio Fontana. For more than 30 years, he has shared his vision and technique at many National Fine Arts Schools in Argentina, where he taught and assumed as Head of Department of Culture. Many accomplished artists have been coached by his teachings at his workshop also. He began exhibiting his paintings in 1946 at local and international venues and on many occasions he was distinguished with art prizes and awards. He is a founding member of the Argentinean Ceramic Art Center. He was advisor to the National Secretary of Culture. He has created monuments and painted murals, in private and public spaces. Many of his pieces are owned by private collectors or can be found in various museums of Argentina, Uruguay, Brazil, Spain, Germany, Britain and the USA.

He was born in 1959 in Buenos Aires. He studied art and painting at several workshops: 1975-1979 at Acuña’s studio, 1980-1986 at Corina Rauch’s and from 1986-1989 at Ernesto Bertani’s workshop. He took part in numerous painting expositions, like: 1989-2003 Trompe l’Oeil Murals at private venues, in 2004 at Estilo Pilar in Buenos Aires, in 2005 again at Estilo Pilar, in 2006 at the Isidro Miranda Gallery and then at the Lumisol Gallery both in Buenos Aires.

Nació en Córdoba Argentina el 4 de marzo 1972. Entre 1990 y 1992 realiza sus estudios para Profesora de Enseñanza Primaria. Desde 1990 hasta 1997 asiste a la Escuela Provincial Superior de Bellas Artes Dr. Figueroa Alcorta y recibe el titulo de Profesora Superior de Bellas artes con especialización en Grabado. Vive y trabaja en Halle, Alemania. En 1998 viaja a Alemania y desde 1999 realiza un Postgrado en técnicas gráficas con el profesor Frank Ruddigkeit en la Academia de Bellas Artes Burg Giebichenstein en Halle / Saale. Desde 1997 expone en numerosas muestras individuales entre ellas: Museo de la ciudad Liechtenstein /Sajonia, Galeria Zukunft Nord (Dortmund), Foro Kulural Hellersdorf (Berlín), Galerie Harf (Güstrow), Ibero Club (Bonn), Asociación Hispano-Alemana (Beirut), Xochicuicatl (Berlín) etc. y muestras colectivas en Alemania, Argentina, Polonia, Rusia y EE.UU. Muchas de sus obras se encuentran en colecciones privadas en Argentina, Alemania, Lituania, Bielorusia, Ucrania, Polonia, Suiza, EEUU y España.

She was born in Córdoba, Argentina on the 4th of March 1972. Between 1990 and 1992 she studied to become an elementary school teacher. From 1990 to 1997 she attended class at the Figueroa Alcorta Provincial Superior School of Fine Arts and graduated as a Professor Superior of Fine Arts specializing in engraving. In 1998 she moved to Germany and in 1999 she completed a postgraduate course in graphic techniques with Professor Frank Ruddigkeit at the “Burg Giebichstein” Academy of Fine Arts in Halle/Saale. Ever since 1997 she exhibits in many individual art shows: City of Liechtenstein, Sachonia Museum, “Zukunft Nord” Gallery in Dortmund, “Kultural Hellersdorf” Forum in Berlin, Galerie Harf in Gustrow, Ibero Club in Bonn, Hispano-German Association in Bayreuth, Xochicuicatl in Berlin, etc. And she also has showcased her works at group exhibitions in Germany, Argentina, Poland, Russia and the US. Much of her artwork can be found in private collections all around the world in diverse countries like Argentina, Germany, Lithuania, Belarus, Ukraine, Poland, US and Spain.

Nació en Buenos Aires en 1950. Artista argentina contemporánea cuya temática reside en la representación plástica de una iconografía ligada siempre a un solo lugar de pertenencia: la patria. Se expresa a través de materiales simples, elementos de uso cotidiano son utilizados y revalorizados en sus obras. En los años 1975/76 realiza estudios en diversos países de Europa. En el año 1980 es becada por el Gobierno Francés. Reside en Francia hasta 1983. La Cancillería Argentina, le encarga el armado estético y visual in situ, de su stand, como artista plástica argentina para el encuentro de mujeres Hispano-Americanas realizado en Almería, Sevilla, España. En el año 2004 obtiene la beca del Programa Internacional de Intercambio de Artistas de Santa Cruz de la Sierra, Bolivia. En el 2004 participa como artista en la Bienal de Arte Contemporáneo II CONART, en la ciudad de Cochabamba, Bolivia. En el año 2005 expone en la Municipalidad de Casoria, Italia y en la Asociación del Centro de Arte Contemporáneo Internacional de Nápoli, en el Museo de Arte Contemporáneo Internacional de Casoria En el 2006 es invitada por el Yu Shun Art Museum y la Harbin Normal University, a participar del China Harbin Internacional Art Forum, Harbin, China. PÁEZ, Pablo

A los 14 años obtiene el primer premio de “Afiches sobre la Paz” Inst. Nacional de Idioma. En 1981 recibe el título de Maestro Nacional de Dibujo en la Escuela Nacional de Bellas Artes “Manuel Belgrano”. En 1985 es designado Profesor de Escultura en la Escuela Nacional de Bellas Artes “Prelidiano Pueyrredón”. En 1990 funda la “EAH” Escuela Argentina de Historieta. En 2001 crea la “Universidad del Cómic” Publica sus dibujos en varios medios de la prensa: Clarín, La Nación, Perfil, La Razón, Sur, El Periodista, Noticias, y en el exterior en: Il Manifesto, L’Unita, Lancio, L’Humanitè, Biofutur y Totem. Obtuvo diversos premios: 1991 la Mención Artista Jóven “Premio ICI de Fin de Siglo. 1992 el premio “Georges Braque ’92”. 1994 obtiene dos premios “Martín Fierro”. En 2002 y 2004 recibe el Tercer y Primer Premio de Dibujo del “Salón Municipal Manuel Belgrano”. En el 2006 recibió el Primer Premio Adquisición del Salón Nacional de Artes Visuales. At the age of 14 he wins first prize “Posters of Peace” at the National Institute of Language. In 1981 he graduates from the “Manuel Belgrano” National School of Fine Arts as a National Master of Drawing. In 1985 he is appointed Sculpting Professor at the “Prelidiano Pueyrredón” National School of Fine Arts. In 1990 he founded the Argentine Comic Strip School. In 2001 he creates the “University of the Comic Strip” His drawings have been published in assorted national media: Clarin, La Nación, Perfil, La Razón, Sur, El Periodista, Noticias and also abroad: Il Manifesto, L’Unita, Lancio, L’Humanite, Biofutur and Totem. He has been honored with several prizes and awards: 1991 he received the Young Artist Mention at the “ICI End of Century Prize”. 1992 he is awarded the “Georges Braque ‘92” prize. In 1994 he was honored with 2 “Martin Fierro” awards. In 2002 and 2004 he receives third and first prize for drawing from the “Manuel Belgrano Municipal Salon”. In 2006 he is granted the first acquisition prize from the National Visual Arts Salon.

PICHEL, Maria Martha

Nació en Buenos Aires en 1966. A los 12 años comienza a frecuentar los talleres de, quienes mas tarde serian sus maestros: Walter Gavito, Pablo Edelstein y Santiago Cogorno Desde sus comienzos predominó la representación de la figura humana en todas sus formas, con un visible rasgo expresionista. Expone por primera vez en 1982 en la galería Soudán, al año siguiente se emplea como dibujante en la Fundación Favaloro, ilustrando libros de anatomía y cirugía cardiovascular; obtiene una beca de estudios en el Centro de Artes visuales de Bs.As. Asistió a las clases de los maestros Hermenegildo Sabat, Eduardo Stupía, Carlos Herzberg y Raul Mazzoni; Completó su formación en Paris, en el taller del artista François Bouillon. Desde 1993 vive y trabaja en Europa y Argentina, realizando numerosas exposiciones en Berlín, Beirút, Ámsterdam, Nueva York, Washington, Paris (donde recibe 2 importantes premios internacionales de pintura), y Buenos Aires. En el 2007 expone por primera vez en Asia, participando en una exposición junto con 8 artistas argentinos en las ciudades de Islamabad y Lahore en Pakistán. Hoy en día, muchas de sus obras se encuentran en colecciones de arte en Alemania, Nueva York y Pakistán.

She was born in Buenos Aires in 1966. At the age of twelve she frequently starts visiting the workshops of her future teachers, Walter Gavito, Pablo Edelstein and Santiago Cogorno. From her beginnings the human figure predominates in all its forms in her works, with visible expressionist features. She debuts with her first exhibition in 1982 at the Soudán Gallery, the following year she starts working as a draftswoman at the Favaloro Foundation, illustrating for anatomy and cardiovascular surgery books; she then is granted a scholarship to study at the Center of Visual Arts of Buenos Aires. She assisted to the classes of maestros Hermenegildo Sabat, Eduardo Stupía, Carlos Herzberg and Raul Mazzoni; she finished her studies in Paris, at François Bouillon’s studio. Since 1993 she lives and works in Europe and Argentina, displaying many of her exhibitions in Berlin, Bayreuth, Amsterdam, New York, Washington, Paris (where she received 2 important international painting prizes), and Buenos Aires. In 2007 she exhibits for the first time in Asia, taking part in exhibition alongside 8 other Argentinean artists in Islamabad and Lahore, Pakistan. Nowadays, some of her pieces can be found in many art collections of Germany, New York and Pakistan.

REATO, Emilio

Nació en San Antonio de Padua, en el año 1962 donde actualmente vive y trabaja. Estudia en la escuela de Artes Visuales de Luján, egresando como profesor superior en dibujo, pintura y grabado. Se perfecciona en los talleres con José “Pipo” Ferrari y Roberto Páez. Becado en clínica de Artes Visuales en el Centro Cultural Rojas, de la Universidad de Buenos Aires. Realiza numerosas muestras individuales, Museo Provincial de Bellas Artes, La Plata; Museo López Claro, Azul; Museo del Banco de la Provincia de Buenos Aires; Galería Sara García Uriburu; La Normandina, Mar del Plata; Universidad de la Matanza ;Museo Bellas Artes de Luján, entre otras. Participa en salones y muestras colectivas, como: Salón Nacional, Salón Belgrano, Chandón, Andreani, Premio Platt, Salón Nacional Santa Fe, Salón Benito Quinquela Martín, Bienal Rafaela, Bienal Paloma Alonso, Premio Aerolíneas Argentinas. También expone en las ferias de arte: Arteba, Periférica, Arte múltiple, Sheraton, Arte clásica. Obtiene distintos premios entre los que se destacan en los últimos años: 1er Premio Bienal regional de Bahía Blanca, 2do Premio Salón de pintura Santa Fe, Mención de honor Premio Osram, Mención Salón de Rafaela, Mención de honor Premio Benito Quinquela Martín, 1ra Mención Salón Nacional de Salta, 2da Mención CFI, Mención especial Salón Cippolleti, 1er Premio salón pintura Luján, 1er Premio Salón Avellaneda, 2do Premio Santa Fe, Premio accésit Aerolíneas Argentinas, 1er Premio Fundación Octubre, Gran Premio de la Provincia de Buenos Aires, 1ra Mención Salón Nacional de Salta.

Born in San Antonio de Padua in 1962, where he today resides and works. He studied at the School of Visual Arts in Luján (Argentina), where he became a professor in artistic drawing, painting and engraving. He then perfected his technique in José “Pipo” Ferrari’s and Roberto Paez workshops. He was then granted a scholarship for the Clinic of Visual Arts Programme at the Rojas Cultural Center from the University of Buenos Aires. He carried out numerous individual exhibitions at different venues like, the Provincial Museum of Fine Arts in La Plata; the Lopez Claro Museum in Azul, the Bank of Buenos Aires Museum, the Sara García Uriburu Gallery, at La Normandina in Mar del Plata, the University of la Matanza, the Museum of Fine Arts of Luján amongst other sites. He has taken part in many art shows and group exhibitions, such as the: National Salon, Belgrano Salon, Chandón, Andreani, Platt Prize, National Salon of Santa Fe, Benito Quinquela Martín Salon, Biennial Rafaela, Biennial Paloma Alonso and the Aerolíneas Argentinas Award. He also exhibits at different art fairs: Arteba, Periférica, Arte Múltiple, the Sheraton and Arte Clásica. He has been honored with several prizes and awards, some of which are: 1st Prize at the Regional Biennial of Bahia Blanca, 2nd Prize at the Painting Salon of Santa Fe, Honorable Mention at the Osram Prize, Mention at the Rafaela Salon, Honorable Mention at the Benito Quinquela Martín Prize, 1st Mention at the National Salon of Salta, 2nd Mention at CFI, Special Mention at the Cippoletti Salon, first prize at the Painting Salon of Luján, 1st Prize at the Avellaneda Salon, 2nd Prize at the Santa Fe Salon, Aerolíneas Argentinas “Accésit” prize, 1st. RODRÍGUEZ VARELA, Pilar

Nació en Buenos Aires en 1977. Estudió licenciatura en Administración de Empresas en la Universidad de San Andrés y desarrolló una carrera especializada en marketing, formándose en una empresa multinacional de primer nivel para luego dedicarse a la consultoría. Su desempeño profesional, cerca del mundo de la innovación y la publicidad, la acercó hacia el aprendizaje de métodos para desarrollar la creatividad. Además de diversas capacitaciones aisladas, en 2006 participó de un taller personalizado con Silvia Mazza. Desde siempre fue una apasionada de las diferentes manifestaciones del arte. En su infancia estudió piano y dibujo. En 2004 volvió a acercarse al mundo del arte a través de la pintura, en los talleres de Mariano Sardón y de Guadalupe Barceló. Se presenta como una joven artista emergente, que descubrió en la pintura un espacio donde confluyen la creatividad y la expresión, dos elementos que son parte de una permanente búsqueda tanto en su vida profesional como personal.

Born in Buenos Aires in 1977, she studied Business Administration at St Andrews University and developed a marketing-oriented career, consolidating her professional experience in a world-class multinational company to later become a marketing and innovation advisor. Her professional path, close to the world of innovation and advertising, provided her with wide range of methods to augment creativity. In addition to several training courses and workshops, in 2006 she participated in an individual creativity training course coached by Silvia Mazza. She has always been passionate about the different manifestations of art. In her early age she studied piano and drawing. And in 2004 she reentered the world of art through painting, trained by Mariano Sardón and Guadalupe Barceló. She presents herself as an emerging artist, who discovered in painting a space where creativity and expression converge, two key elements that are part of a permanent search both in her professional and personal life.

SCHUSSHEIM, Renata

Inicia en 1968 su carrera como diseñadora de vestuario. Realiza trabajos para teatro, ópera, ballet, comedias musicales, rock, cine y video. Ha presentado sus diseños en ámbitos muy disímiles: Grand Théâtre de Genève (Suiza), Teatros Municipales de Río de Janeiro y San Pablo, Estadio Canecâo de Río de Janeiro (Brasil), Teatro Regio de Torino (Italia), Teatro Colón, Teatro San Martín, Teatro Nacional Cervantes, Estadio Luna Park de Buenos Aires y en los Festivales de Asti y Ville Vesuviane de Italia, entre otros. Desde 1966 expone en forma individual óleos y dibujos en las más importantes galerías de arte de Argentina, México, Venezuela e Italia. Ilustra libros y realiza publicaciones en revistas de Buenos Aires, México y Nueva York. Es invitada al Festival de Nantes, Francia, para presentar su instalación “Homenaje a Carlos Gardel” y también al Festival de Teatro de Caracas, Venezuela, con su exposición-performance “Confidencial”. Dirigió junto a Oscar Araiz “Boquitas Pintadas” de Manuel Puig diseñando asimismo el vestuario. Realizó el diseño de vestuario de “Romeo y Julieta” en el Teatro Principal de Valencia y en el Teatro Municipal de Río de Janeiro también de “Lady Macbeth” en el Teatro Real de Madrid y en el Teatro Colón con dirección musical de M. Rostropovich. Trabajó junto a Luis Pasqual en “Edipo XXI” para el Teatro Grec de Barcelona y en “Mariana Pineda”, de García Lorca para la compañía flamenca de Sara Baras representada en Sevilla y Barcelona. En el 2005 estrenó “El Barbero de Sevilla” para el Teatro Real de Madrid Recibió el Premio Konex, el Premio del Fondo Nacional de las Artes y los premios Florencio Sánchez y el ACE en varias oportunidades.

Her wardrobe and costume design career began in 1968. She has created works for theatre, opera, ballet, musical comedy, rock music, cinema and video. Her designs have been displayed in such varied circles, as: the Grand Théâtre de Genève (Switzerland), the Municipal Theatres of Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paulo, the Canecâo Stadium in Rio de Janeiro (Brazil), the Teatro Regio of Torino (Italy), the Teatro Colón, the Teatro San Martín, the Teatro Nacional Cervantes and the Luna Park Stadium of Buenos Aires (Argentina) and also in the Asti and Ville Vesuviane Festivals (Italy), amongst other venues. Ever since 1966 she has individually exhibited her artistic drawings and oil paintings at renowned art galleries in Argentina, Mexico, Venezuela and Italy. She has illustrated many books, her artwork can be found in various magazine publications of Buenos Aires, Mexico City and New York. She was a guest artist at the Nantes Festival, in France, where she presented her “Homage to Carlos Gardel” and also appeared at the “Caracas Theatre Festival”, in Venezuela, with her exposition-performance “Confidencial”. Together with Oscar Araiz she directed Manuel Puig’s “Boquitas Pintadas”, also designing the play’s wardrobe. She produced the costume design for “Romeo and Juliet” at the Teatro Principal of Valencia (Spain) and at the Municipal Theatre of Rio de Janeiro, as well as for “Lady Macbeth” at the Teatro Real of Madrid and at the Teatro Colón, with musical conduction by M. Rostropovich. She worked along with Luis Pasqual in “Edipo XXI” for the Teatro Grec of Barcelona and in “Mariana Pineda”, written by García Lorca, for Sara Baras’ flamenco company, performing in Seville and Barcelona. In 2005 she premiered “The barber of Seville” at the Teatro Real of Madrid. She has received the Konex Award, the National Fund of Arts Prize and the ACE and Florencio Sanchez Awards on several occasions.

Artista plástica visual, nace en Resistencia Chaco. Autodidacta. Hace talleres de estudios con los maestros Sobisch, Edelstein, Giuffré y Rivara. Asiste a Cursos de Historia del Arte en la UBA. Talleres de perfeccionamiento con Leopoldo Presas en París, en el Rijksmuseum de Amsterdam y en la Escuela de Bellas Artes Paul Klee en Berna Suiza durante los años 1993/94. En el período 1985-1990 dicta cursos de pintura en la Fundación Cultural del Circulo Militar de Bs As. En 1993 dicta cursos de paisajes en Montreal, Suiza. Actualmente ejerce la docencia privada. Griselda Trotti is a self-taught visual plastic artist, she was born in Resistencia, Argentina. At first, she took part in workshops with maestros Sobisch, Edelstein, Giuffré and Rivara at their studios. She later attended courses and lectures on Art History at the University of Buenos Aires (UBA). From 1993 to 1994 she took improvement workshops with Leopoldo Presas in Paris, at the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam and at the Paul Klee School of Fine Arts in Bern, Switzerland. From 1985 to 1990 she took an art and painting teaching position at the “Círculo Militar” Cultural Foundation in Buenos Aires. Also, in 1993 she gave class on landscape painting in Montréal, Switzerland. Nowadays she teaches art in private scenes.
