MARCH CITY Urban Regeneration (Valencia-Spain)
Urban renewal proposal in Vara de Quart’s industrial park (Valencia). We suggest a self-sufficient and sustainable city for 5000 residents that develops a system capable of covering all demands for resources, as well as presenting a new use for urban spaces.
MARCH CITY | Proyect 01
The proposal consists of isolating a portion of obsolete space to test new urbanization practices and to improve environmental preservation and quality of like for the residents. This can only be achieved through the understanding of urbanization as a means, not as an objective. The aim is to provide a solution for this global problem putting it in a local context (crucible urbanism).
Continuous public space. Turn streets into squares, and squares into a succession of uninterrupted spaces.
MARCH CITY | Proyect 01
March City arises in the limit, it emerges on the border of a territory. Its existence is based on the contrast with the city centre and on the disjunction from the city’s centralised power. It is intended as a free region, a space aloof from the compulsive mass and the excess, a place disconnected from the alienating and hypnotic harmony that numbs us.

TINGLADO Nยบ2 Mixed use building (Valencia-Spain)
This project, framed in a new urban development, aims to densify and to create city in the former inner harbor of the Port of Valencia Tinglado No.2 is a mixed use building, consisting of a library, a cultural centre and a complex of single-family dwellings. The Project is based on the reconversion of a disused industrial port building. It makes use of the structure to increase in height. A single and simple volume is generated in which, differentiating antique and modern through the materials on the faรงade, we emphasise on the concept of intervention: studying past architecture from a present viewpoint to project it into the future.

DASEC Digital Art and Spatial Experimentation Centre (Valencia-Spain)
DASEC (Digital Art and Spatial Experimentation Centre) is centred around spatial exploration through digital intervention and the stimulation of new artistic experiences. It’s main objective is to find it’s own id entity in the network of cultural spaces in the city of Valencia, not only in the programming lines, but also regarding content and exhibition formats. Far from being a typical museum institution, it is presented as an open place to wander and to experiment with your senses. DASEC is a place where the user looses spatial notion, where the limits between the interior and the exterior fade and create flows in ever-changing spaces. The project is a reprogrammation of an existing disused building. The conceptual evolution of the location is analysed, as well as the interior space and its relation with the exterior. The spatial response’s aim is to strengthen the fragmented interior space and the easing of contrast between the free-standing volume and its surroundings.
DASEC | Proyect 03
A surrounding of metal cylinders is built in order to achieve a new transition landscape between the interior and the exterior.

UNTHER THE CLOUD Playground in a roundabout (Valencia-Spain)
Under the Cloud is a project in which the aim is to clear road traffic and give that space to pedestrians. The project is located in a busy roundabout in the city of Valencia, between the Gardens of Turia and a shopping centre. New air roads are designed to go over the previous roundabout and, beneath those roads, is located a playground.
UNDER THE CLOUD | Project 04
These new roads are composed of big tunnels and oblique pillars following the length of the tunnel, turning it into a swirling cloud and generating a great diversity of playing areas underneath it. It is designed to be an alternative leisure place for the consumer society, a place where one can grow mentally and physically.
HOUSE F Forest house between the trees (Alicante – Spain)
House F is a detached house located on a mountain slope near Alicante’s shore (Spain). It is located between what used to be two cultivated terraced banks and in the middle of a Mediterranean pine wood. The starting premises are: not cutting down any trees, the dwelling can’t exceed 200 m2 and it can’t have more than two floors (due to legislation). So, the starting point is a square floor of 8×8m and to divide the house into three floors: basement floor, ground floor and 1st floor, a total of 180 m2. The different slabs fragment the spaces and uses, providing the dwelling a dynamic character, a wide variety of routes and atmospheres of great spatial quality. The house is distributed in a way that the private zones are closer to the ground and the common areas are higher, just like the crowns of the trees seeking the sunlight.

WASTE RECOVERY PLANT Waste treatment and recovery plant (Valencia – Spain)
We start off with the term “recovery”, which means “the action or process of regaining possession or control of something stolen or lost”. This is going to be applied to the landscape, the society, the energy and the waste. To the landscape because the plot is located in between an industrial estate and the orchard. Both are artifitial: they have been created by mankind. They become waste because of the “borders” between them.On the social side, knowing the waste selection and differentiation is essential, as it would give society a better understanding of the recycling process in order to change their consumption habits. This way, society would be able to improve the performance of the plant and to reduce the waste rejection, leading to a healthier environment. In order to achieve that, we intend to avoid the conventional plants (in which this whole process is invisible to the eye) and to reveal it to educate society. Regarding energy, the plant’s greatest consumption at the plant is the continuous extraction of air in order to avoid the odour output. Therefore, the aim is to reduce the volume of the construction to optimize the consumption

BILLBOARD HOUSE Prosthetic house on a rooftop billboard (New York-USA)
The dwelling is built as a prosthesis inside the urban scenery. It takes up the space in a billboard located on one of the rooftops in Times Square. The base structure is made of a three-dimensional cubic steel truss with 3 meter sides, which enables the design of different rooms and uses that take up these spaces. The mobile faรงade allows for the shutters to be opened and closed. These simple movements provide the dwelling with the open spaces and the visibility required at any

8 BREAKING WALL BOAT Naval unmanned marine device (Metaphysical Space)
8 Breaking Wall Boat is an unmanned marine device, whose function is making two parallel realities coexist. A metaphysical space is presented in which 8BWB follows a scheduled route to fragment the wall that separates the metropolitan reality from the rural one. An illusory dimension is presented, in which a river spaces out and brings into conflict the city’s and the country’s banks. We choose the river for it’s symbolisation of existence and the ultimate aim of the project is to bridge the gap between those who are apart.
8BWB | Project 08
8BWB has a number of functions to perform in a limited period of time: To create an opaque wall and to gradually increase it’s transparency / To build up a network from bank to bank, to materialize and to make the process visible / To clean the river to avoid impurities and the symbolic division they represent, in order to reach transparency and stability.

ANTENNAE Internationa Museum of Astronomy – Arquideas competition IMOA 2014
The aim of this astronomy centre is to focus on the human’s most immediate and primitive source of vision: the eye. Technological innovation is set aside, as it already holds an important place in the infrastructures on this plateau (Atacama desert, Chile). ANTENNAE alters the visitor’s usual routine to concentrate all the activity at nighttime. Therefore, the daytime is the time to rest, as we can only appreciate the light of the stars during the night. The inverted dome is the centrepiece of the project: it reflects the stars and the person who watches them, who then feels integrated in the sky’s immensity. The dome is built in a hybrid construction, which holds the majority of the uses. The residential modules are located around the construction and serve as accommodation and as observational places
