Ralph D. Spencer, Criminal or Hero? Today at the Elmore bank, a dramatic scene occurred. At approximately 9:32 AM, 9- year old May
“Nobody Knew who this Ralph D. Spencer was. He just appeared one day in the town and then he found Annabel Adams.” -Betsy Kerns, bank teller
Adams locked her 5 year old sister Agatha in the new, burglar-proof vault. Ralph Spencer, who was there at the time, saved her by opening the vault, leaving everybody shocked and confused. Ralph Spencer’s fiance, Annabel Adams’s, father owns the bank. Mr. Adams’s family and Ralph Spencer were there because Mr. Adams wanted to show them his new safe. May was playing when she locked Agatha in the vault. Other people in the bank heard Agatha’s mother scream. Ralph Spencer had a suitcase filled with tools. He opened up the suitcase, got out his tools and he opened up the vault to save Agatha’s life. Miss Annabel was
