Meeting of the former scouts. 1989 Rebirth of the HSA, as the first registered civil organization, this time open for boys and girls. The Hungarian organization joins WOSM. Leader training starts. Girl guiding is also reestablished separately. Beginning of the 90ies Following the political changes in the neighbour countries Hungarian minority scout groups and associations are formed.

1991 Forum of the Hungarian Scout Association is
formed, which is the consultative forum of the Hungarian scout associations from different countries. The HSA is again participant of the World Scout Jamborees. 1993 The first national jamboree of Hungarian Scouting remembering the WJ in Gödöllő. 1995 Organization of the first national scout ball.
