BIO
Executive summery Combines hands on construction background with a formal architectural training and leadership experience as an entrepreneurial business owner. Enthusiastic learner and eager to observe and gain experience. I would like to grow within the company and let my creations thrive within a respected and hard working environment. Coming from arts science background, I started off as an artist and continued my education but during that time it turned into architecture. I get to put what I love into another passion that is complex and beautiful. Studying art lets my imagination explore and see things in a different perspective to which I use in my work to this day. My personal approach to anything is to be open minded and see beyond what is set in front of me.

The Olive Pit Convention
The Olive Pit convention Center is composed by the two complimentary towers, both unique in their own manner, responding to each other as if they were one. Using the plasticity of the un-fired clay we are shaping a type of Vase sound barrier that will then be used to control sound quality. Between the two buildings we are creating a multi-use event space. Such activities include large conventions, concerts space and exposĂŠs. On the outer portions we have park space where the public can enjoy leisure activities and pathways for walking, running and biking. The towers communicate to one another through the use of their cave like core. Like a well-choreographed ballet the building dance with each other without making contact. The balance comes from their opposition in materiality. The western tower stands solid and bold, while the eastern tower is perforated and textured. In this manner the spaces within the western tower remains soundless and exercises an essential quality for a hotel and housing establishment. This tower is created so that a peaceful environment can be accessed. While the reflected external sounds will then be transferred to the opposing tower. The opposing tower (East Tower) porous and textured is created to disperse the sound collectively. The porous wall is designed to control the distribution of sound within the lacuna cavern and optimize and diminish the disbursement of sound to the environment beyond the confines of the site. In the sense of my project, imagine if you are blind folded standing in the middle of the quad the difference in density and porosity of either building should give you an awareness of placement and the ability to differentiate between the two. I believe that acoustics follows materiality as a complement to presence. As an example, a person whom is blind folded and standing in a middle of an open room can still be aware of the span of a space.

THE BOWTIE PARK PROJECT Project Inter-gage is deigned to be an added contribution to the already in progress Bowtie Park Project. Bowtie Park was established by the hard work and partnership between Clock Shop and California State Park department in order to activate the usability of this 18 acre postindustrial lot. The lot of Bowtie Park lies off the bike path access and connections between the down towns of Glendale’s trendy Atwater Village and the creative Down Town Los Angeles Art’s District. Today, Bowtie Park is an extension to the soft bottom portion of the LA River and can be visited at any time by the public. While the lot is home to a vast variety of wildlife and nature, Bowtie Park has become home to a collection of public Artwork and happenings. When entering you become enchanted with its incredible views and you’re suddenly overwhelmed by its conceivable potential as public space. While moving through the park you can witness the happening of human interaction as bicyclist pass one by one on the outlining path. As you make your way deeper into the park you be captured by the pure creativity of that each art piece beholds leading you like bread crumbs through a forest. It is these small aspects that creates the bonding facets for two communities to come together and unite themselves as one.

PURLIEU ODYSSEY DWELLING
TRANSITIONAL DWELLING TO UNITE THE WORLD
Purlieu Odyssey Dwelling project (POD) is a response to a growing epidemic involving population density located in the heart of Los Angeles. More specifically responding to the lack of housing availability to children whom are aging out of faster care. Transitional housing in Los Angeles County is currently deployed in two ways through the renovation of existing multi-family building and through a “scattered site” approach, in which individual properties with single family dwelling or duplexes provide shelter. Currently “2016”, the Los Angeles department of Children and Family Services maintains a capacity of 244 beds throughout the county. At present, there are 20,651 children in foster care throughout Los Angeles County, though only a percentage of these are emancipating in the next few years. Ultimately seeking a process of human-centered and empathic design, to creating micro-communities for what the federal department of housing and urban development calls “transitional housing” to provide individualized/ family housing, reinforcing stability, and a solution to end homelessness.

PURLIEU ODYSSEY DWELLING
TRANSITIONAL DWELLING TO UNITE THE WORLD
This project began with a study that we called “What’s in your suit case?” A study in which we took a look at items that an average suburban person (age18-21) would pack and deem indispensable if asked to leave there home behind in short notice. These items include but where not limited to utilitarian items for your physical wellbeing (clothing, grooming essentials, and important documentation), as well as objects or talismans for your emotional and intellectual survival (photos, books, tokens for memorabilia etc.). All items after being collected were then measured, analyzed and studied for size, weight, and ability to be transportable.
The second portion of this project was to establish a means of transportation. The question is asked how these items are to be transported and what are the limitations to how far the vessel can travel. The answer was discover through the analyzation of a hot air balloon. Inspired by the lightness, flexibility, as well as the mobility of this vessel. The study proved the balloons ability to conform to any shape and inspire tectonic structure. This was the key to this project. 9

LIBRARY OF COGNITION STEEL COM 3B The Library of cognition is a project created to meet the current needs of this radiant city (Los Feliz). The sit we have chosen sits above the LA River as an attempt to establish refuge and safe passage over the river. We begin by utilizing the remains of what was left over from the historic red line train way. The deconstruction of the railway left behind 5 pylons. The Primary structural system lifts the structure above the river to allow for play of circulation to enter the building from both sides of the river. Being Aware of the site conditions and geometries of the pylons, a structural grid was created to sustain a mass which was ultimately divided in two to avoid blocking the sun from the nearing neighbor and avoid the amount of shadow that is casted on the surface floor. Creating ramps for pedestrians and circulation to the contrast between the concrete pylons of the LA River and the steel construction of the building.
