LENSBOOK / 2014
Cover Photographer Paul Emmings
LENSBOOK / 2014
This book is both a celebration of photographic achievement and a showcase for a number of OLYMPUS M.Zuiko lenses and an exclusive selection of photographers’ work. The Micro Four Thirds system has revolutionised the art of taking pictures, not just where fantastic image quality has to be combined with low weight and small size, as is the case with travel and street photography. With the OLYMPUS OM-D and PEN cameras, it has also become more than a match for nature, landscape, action and fashion, to name just some categories in which Micro Four Thirds cameras excel. With an every-increasing number of lenses to choose from, we are proud to say that we have a lens for every shot, for every project and absolutely love the artistic results that our technical expertise and photographers’ talent from around the world generate. Working with amateurs and professionals whose work has inspired thousands on the web, this book takes some of their best work to show a broad audience the true potential of photography today. We hope you enjoy looking through this lensbook as much as we have enjoyed creating it.

Photographer Barnaby Robson
Lens M.ZUIKO DIGITAL ED 75mm 1:1.8 Camera OM-D E-M5 Exposure 1/800s Aperture 3.5 ISO 200
28 | 29
One of travel photographer Barnaby Robson’s stunning images from a two week trip to Burma. Taken with the photographer’s self-professed favourite lens, the 75mm 1:1.8 telephoto, his Bagan sunset shot is a beautiful example of the pleasing foreshortening effect of a long lens to produce this dreamlike composition.
Underwater Photographer Takashi Usui Lens M.ZUIKO DIGITAL ED 14‑42mm 1:3.5‑5.6 Camera PEN E-PL1 Focal length 15mm Exposure 1/160s Aperture 9.0 ISO 200 While on a trip to Koh Tao, Thailand, experienced weekend underwater photographer Takashi Usui artfully combined the feeling that you can reach out and touch these fish while simultaneously portraying the endless depths of the ocean. Both effects made possible using a short zoom lens set at a wide angle of 15mm.
