Concept Chosen to prototype in conjunction with the City of San Jose Public Art Department. Developed during an internship with a student team: Bryan Day, Becky Field, Bryan De Leon, Maria Lopez, & Vince Pascual supervised by: Prof. John McClusky & Prof. Leslie Speer -Focused on solar power, manufacturing, prototyping and working in a team environment
International Housewares Competition
Fall 2009
Contest hosted by the International Housewares Association. Created a set of containers for “mise en place,” allowing people with no time to cook healthier meals. -Focused on ritualistic habits, cultural associations, ergonomics, materials, manufacturing, and sustainability
Chair Affair
Spring 2009
Contest hosted by the American Institute of Architecture Studies. Created a cardboard chair from reclaimed cardboard that would be able to support a human for an extended period of time. - Focused on structural form, knowledge of materials, and sustainability.
