336 In Wood County, Quitman Police Chief Kelly Cole has defeated incumbent Thomas Castloo in the Republican primary runoff race for Wood County Sheriff. For Wood Countyt Comissioner, Virgil Junior Holland (R / Inc.) 1,078 63% Keith Gilbreath (R) 637 37%. In Rains County, Jeremy Cook will represent Precinct 1 on the Rains County Commissioners Court after receiving a majority of the votes cast during the July 14 runoff election on Tuesday. Preliminary totals have Cook receiving 280 votes.
