COMMUNITY SERVICE As a project we were given a location and told to speak to the local residents, asking them questions about the area that they lived in. I managed to sit down with a caretaker in the local community center for a number of hours, the main comments I picked out of our conversation was the inability for the small community to communicate amongst one another. So I made a poster designed to encourage communication within the community.

Sound of the summer During the summer I produced a one minute sound clip that summed up how my summer sounded. Back in university we all swapped sound pieces and then everybody created video responses to the sound. The page opposite show the video I created in response to Peter Dodd’s Cotes d’ Armor. Visit the URL below to see the real thing.

Movement in mind I was commissioned to come up with a visual identity for a new company starting out as an Alexander Technique practice. The client supplied a rubbing on thick textured paper stock as a starting point. From this and a number of meetings with the client I developed a business card, two A5 posters, A4 letter head and compliment slip.

This is a sample of the rubbing supplied by the client :

Peruzzi Cut The band Peruzzi Cut asked me to come up with a visual identity. They asked me to restrict my design to the cut of the diamond the band are named after. The project’s still active.

Presenting workshop I was commissioned to create a web flyer for an Arts Council funded workshop on presentation skills. It had to be very legible, eye catching, and fit two full logos on, all text and logos were supplied.

The two logos supplied by the client :
