The purpose of the main community space of Skogur is to create a forest-like atmosphere. Plants are hung o n the ca nopy of the tree-shape st ructure of the building to create a space where people can feel a warm atmosphere when entering the building. This atmosphere is intended to give people a warm feeling or tone after people experienced the cold and cool feeling of Iceland. Also, the green space of the building can be used for mental treatment and education al purposes by using plants or animals that are not commonl y seen in Iceland.

Heating System 1

By using the double facade system, warm air slowly enters the building from the second floor. It also helps to maintain a warm er temperature for the second floor

Also, during the summer, the building continuously collects water from the roof and sends water to underground water tanks. After that, using geothermal to heat the water inside of the water tank, hot water will flow through the fl oor radiant pipe during winter to warm the whole building.
