last letter

It's time for me to say goodbye as this year's club editor. Although we haven't held elections yet, I hope our next editor has a year as successful as mine! I'm so proud of those who are running and I sincerely hope this year will be better than ever! Don't forget to take a breath and relax, as I know school is picking up it's pace, as well as the activities! Remember to chill out and serve! Josie

ltg update

"Division 8, Congratulations on our own Durant High School for receiving a Youth Opportunities Fund Grant! They will be using $200 to purchase children's book to promote literacy in their town. We are so proud of your hard work, Durant. The Key Club year is approaching its end. Please begin to elect your new officers and train them for success. Having these new officers attend DCON is a fantastic way to help train them. Registration will close on April 2nd. At least two members of each club should attend as delegates. Also, update the COCI with the new officers. The Denton Breakfast Kiwanis Club is inviting all of our Key Clubs to their meeting on May 3rd, 2018 where they will conduct a Career Speed Dating event in which we will have the opportunity to ask the Kiwanians about their education and careers. They want you to be there! The meeting is at 6:30am at El Chaparral Grill. I'm very proud of the service that our clubs have accomplished. Continue working hard to make an impact. As always, contact me if you have any questions or need anything." 4 - Sarah Spivey, LTG

bake sale

To help pay for District Convention, our club holds an annual bake sale for the Kiwanis. At the meeting on February 14th, members auctioned off baked goods. They sold for prices ranging from $50 to $500. We raised a 6 total of $3,100 for DCON!
