Il Prodotto The Product CEMENTO14 è un prodotto vivo e naturale; pertanto i segni e le imperfezioni che si riscontrano sullo stesso, ad esempio spillature oltre a differenze nel colore non sono da considerarsi difetti, bensì elementi distintivi che ne esaltano la bellezza e lo contraddistinguono da prodotti industriali che vanno ad imitarli. Inoltre CEMENTO14 è come una “matrice” su cui lasciare i segni del tempo vissuto. Personale, mai generico, mai banale; CEMENTO14 è come tu lo vivi. Cambia come cambia chi lo possiede. La sua natura e processo di realizzazione sono diventati garanzia di rispetto per l’ambiente. CEMENTO14 è ottenuto dalla frantumazione di pietre. Questa polvere finemente ottenuta è unita ad altre materie naturali come il quarzo, che conferisce durezza, legati insieme alla cellulosa con acqua. Nelle fasi di produzione di CEMENTO14 è stata eliminata la cottura delle materie, garantendo emissioni zero di CO2. I colori di CEMENTO14 sono ottenuti dall’attenta selezione di ossidi naturali con caratteristiche di solidità e stabilità alla luce e agli altri agenti atmosferici, mantenendo le proprietà estetiche dei pigmenti naturali.
CEMENTO14 is a natural and living product, hence the imperfections which one may encounter (splash marks, differences in colour tones) are not to be considered as defects but as distinctive elements that enhance the beauty and distinguish it from the usual industrial products. CEMENTO14 must be seen as a “matrix” where one leaves the signs of aging. CEMENTO14 is how you live it, it changes just at the person who owns it changes. It’s nature and manufacturing process are a guarantee that nature is respected. As a matter of fact, CEMENTO14 is made up from crushed and pulverized stone. The fine powder is then mixed with other natural material, such as quartz which guarantees hardness and all of this is binded together with the use of cellulose and water. During the production process of CEMENTO14, the firing of the product has been eliminated, guaranteeing zero emission of CO2 in the environment. The CEMENTO14 colours are obtained from the careful selection of natural oxides with solid characteristics, stability to light and other environmental elements. Always maintaining the aesthetic properties of the natural pigments.

It is like a stage, where, if you desire, life is represented. A uniform carpet that memorizes the marks of our passage. From the moment it takes on shape it records everything that touches it and continues to do so over time; collecting the traces of a myriad of lifestyles. For us Cemento 14 is: a stage. The installations which we photographed were created from this idea. Just like in a play, environments became scene sketches, the places where we live...

CONSIGLI DI POSA La scelta dei prodotti per la posa (adesivi, stucchi, ecc.) resta a discrezione dell’utente finale o dell’impresa incaricata; si consiglia comunque l’utilizzo di prodotti specifici per marmi e pietre naturali (collanti di colore bianco e con temperatura al di sotto di 18° è consigliabile l’utilizzo di collanti a presa rapida)rispettando scrupolosamente le indicazioni del produttore sul quantitativo di acqua da utilizzare. Tutti i sottofondi su cui posare il prodotto in oggetto devono essere asciutti, stabili, solidi, meccanicamente resistenti, livellati (eventuali anomalie potrebbero generare vuoti tra il massetto e il materiale compromettendo le caratteristiche del prodotto). I sottofondi devono anche essere privi di parti asportabili quali: polvere, grassi, olii, cere, vernici, agenti disarmanti e quanto altro possa pregiudicare l’adesione. GIUNTI DI DILATAZIONE E LIVELLATORI DI PIANO Durante la posa, rispettare tassativamente tutti i giunti di dilatazione esistenti nel supporto da rivestire. Comunque mantenere una distanza pari a circa 5 mm da pareti, colonne, spigoli, angoli, ecc. Creare giunti di frazionamento di ca. 10 mm nel caso di aree molto estese suddividendo l’area come di seguito consigliato: • superfici medie, prevedere riquadri di ca. 9-10 mq • superfici ampie, prevedere riquadri di ca. 16-25 mq • il riempimento dei giunti dovrà essere realizzato con prodotti specifici. 22
Per ottenere una superficie completamente planare si consiglia l’utilizzo di livellatori di nuova generazione FUGHE Si consiglia una fuga minima di 3 mm sia a pavimento che a rivestimento. Prima del riempimento delle fughe dovrà essere realizzata una pulizia della superficie da trattare. Il riempimento delle fughe dovrà essere eseguito scrupolosamente in base alle indicazioni riportate sulle confezioni dei prodotti, in particolare per la percentuale di acqua da utilizzare. PRECAUZIONI È buona norma proteggere le pavimentazioni con materiali idonei (protezione con tappetino in feltro), onde evitare accidentali danneggiamenti che possono essere arrecati nei successivi lavori di finitura.
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS The choice of adhesives, glues and grouts is at the discretion of the end user or contractor; it is advisable to use specific products for marble and natural stone (white glues and when the temperature is below 18 °, we recommend a quick-setting glue). Always following the strict indications of the production house with regards to glues, adhesive etc vs the quantity of water needed. All the substrates on which the product in question will be installed must be dry, stable, solid,
sound, leveled (anomalies could cause gaps between the substrate and the material, which could have a negative effect on the product). Substrates must be free of loose particles such as dust, grease, oils, waxes, paints, and anything else that could affect the adhesion. EXPANSION JOINTS AND FLOOR LEVELING During installation, observe strictly all the expansion joints in the substrate. Keep a distance equal to about 5 mm from the walls, columns, edges, corners, etc. Create expansion joints of ca. 10 mm in the case of large areas, subdividing the area as advised below: • average areas, consider square areas of approx. 9-10 sqm. • large areas, consider square areas of approx 16-25 sqm. • filling of the joints must be made with specific products. To get a completely level surface, we recommend the use of precise leveling instruments. JOINTS It is advisable to leave a minimum of 3mm of floors and walls. Prior to fillings the joints make sure that the surface is clean. The filling of the joints must be scrupulously performed according to the instructions on the packaging of the grout products. PRECAUTIONS It is recommended to protect flooring with suitable materials in order to prevent damages caused by the following finishing operations.

CONSIGLI DI TAGLIO E FORATURA Per il taglio lo strumento utilizzato è il disco ad acqua, flessibile, mentre per la foratura viene usato il trapano e la fresa elettrica. Le operazioni di taglio, foratura e rettifica possono essere eseguite, a seconda delle esigenze e degli spessori dei materiali, con le seguenti attrezzature: tagliatrici elettriche a disco raffreddate ad acqua, tagliatrici elettriche a disco, frese e foretti a secco o raffreddati ad acqua, punte da trapano (fori di dimensioni max. di 12 mm), taglio ad idrogetto. CUTTING AND DRILLING SUGGESTIONS Depending on the need and thickness of the material, the cutting, drilling and edges trimming operations can be done utilizing the following tools: glass cutters, manual tile cutters, water cooled electric disk cutters, electric disk cutters, dry or water cooled mills and drills, drill bits (to be used with a max size of 12mm), water-jet cutting.

STUCCATURA Si consiglia la stuccatura del prodotto con stucchi a base cementizia e stucchi epossidici di nuova generazione. La superficie “Vibrato” non è idonea a essere stuccata. LAVAGGIO DOPO POSA Per la pulizia dopo la posa e stuccatura, utilizzare CLEANEXTRA14, prodotto ad alto contenuto detergente (diluire 173 di prodotto e 2/3 di acqua). FINITURA Per la finitura utilizzare MAN14, prodotto antimacchia ad elevata resistenza al calpestio. MANUTENZIONE ORDINARIA Per il mantenimento utilizzare MAN14, o cere neutre equivalenti, con proprietà antimacchia da diluire in acqua di lavaggio a seconda dell’utilizzo della pavimentazione.

GROUTING For the grouting of the material, we recommend cement based grouts and latest generation epoxy grouts. The “Vibrato” finishes are not suitable for grouting. WASHING AFTER INSTALLATION Once the installation is complete, we recommend CLEANXTRA14, a product with a large percentage of detergent. FINISH For the final treatment, use MAN14, a stain-resistant product which offers resistance. ROUTINE MAINTENANCE For maintenance use MAN14, or a neutral wax equivalent with anti-staining properties. The wax needs to be diluted in the washing water.
