On this Father’s Day, we had a visit

from a father to our school to honor all parents and strengthen family ties and respect for the one who gave us life. In addition, all children created a small gift to offer to their “heroes”.
Dia do Pai, aproveitámos a visita de um pai à nossa escola para homenagear todos os pais e fortalecer os laços familiares e o respeito por aquele que nos deu a vida. Para além disso, todas as crianças criaram uma pequena lembrança para oferecer aos seus “heróis”.

World Tree Day

No Dia Mundial da Árvore, as crianças da
the World Tree Day, the children of Cape Verde Multilingual School visited the Cape Verde Botanical Garden on the island of Santiago, where they learned to sow and to plant a tree. They also visited the Dam of Poilão to understand the importance of water to living beings, both in terms of environmental and ecological balance, and in terms of the quality of life.
Cape Verde Multilingual School deslocaramse ao Jardim Botânico de Cabo Verde, na Ilha de Santiago, onde aprenderam a semear e a plantar uma árvore. Visitaram também a Barragem de Poilão para entenderem a importância da água para os seres vivos, ao nível do equilíbrio ambiental e ecológico e da própria qualidade de vida.

Cape Verde Women’s Day
On the day we celebrate Cape Verde Women’s
Day (March 27), children, educators and staff of Cape Verde Multilingual School visited the Organization of the Women of Cape Verde ( OMCV ) to honor the Cape Verdean women. We are very grateful for the warm welcome and the valuable information transmitted over this valuable non-governmental organization that fights for Women in Cape Verde .

Cabo-Verdiana (27 de Março), as crianças, Educadores e Responsáveis da Cape Verde Multilingual School visitaram a Organização das Mulheres de Cabo Verde (OMCV) para homenagear a Mulher Cabo-Verdiana. Estamos muito gratos pela calorosa recepção e pelas preciosas informações que nos foram transmitidas sobre esta valiosa Organização não governamental que luta em prol da Mulher em Cabo Verde.

Carnaval O
Carnaval é uma manifestação cultural arreigada em Cabo Verde, com especial incidência em algumas ilhas deste pequeno arquipélago. Caracteriza-se por um desfile de carros alegóricos, marchas, música e dança, e integra muitos dos elementos que fazem parte da cultura e da história da nossa ilha. Também na nossa escola se fez sentir a folia, a alegria e a diversão do carnaval. Houve reis e princesas, que ao som da brincadeira não deixaram ficar de fora o espírito deste dia onde todos os sonhos se transformaram em realidade.
Carnival Carnival is a rooted cultural event in Cape
Verde, with special focus on some islands of this small archipelago. It is characterized by a parade of floats, marches, music and dance, and incorporates many of the elements that are part of the culture and history of the island . Also at our school was felt the joy and the fun of the Carnival. There were kings and princesses, who played to celebrate the spirit of this day where all dreams became a reality.

The Day of Freedom and Democracy
The
Day of Freedom and Democracy is celebrated on January 13, a national holiday in Cape Verde which marks the date on which, for the first time, Cape Verdeans exercised their right to vote in the first multiparty elections in the country, performed on 13 January 1991. To celebrate this date, CAPE VERDE Multilingual School requested support to the Deputy Dr. Abraham Vicente to explain the significance of this importante day.

Dia da Liberdade e da Democracia é comemorado a 13 de Janeiro, dia em que é feriado em Cabo Verde por ser a data em que, pela primeira vez, os cabo-verdianos exerceram o seu direito de voto nas primeiras eleições multipartidárias no país, realizadas a 13 de Janeiro de 1991. Para assinalar esta data, a CAPE VERDE Multilingual School solicitou apoio ao Senhor Deputado Dr. Abraão Vicente para explicar o significado deste dia tão importante.

On Valentine’s Day , the school was invaded

by the love bug! Our children made crafts depicting the date and exchanged cards of love and friendship between them. It was a very fun and special day at school!
