Radical Book
Each of the following pages contain characters that share the same radical. These are the most common radicals, and being able to recognize them can help us either guess or recall what a character means. Look at each page. Browse through the characters. Note the radical in each and where it is. (Remember: the radical can appear anywhere in a character – left, right, top, bottom, inside (center), outside (surrounding). Note that many radicals can take on different forms; the form of the radical does not change its meaning. The fact that an element of a character is a radical does not necessarily mean it is the radical of that character. A character can only have one radical, and every character has a radical.
