When I was a child I used to read astronomy and science books just to analyze the graphics they used to explain concepts. In many ways a logo is a mix between info graphic and fine art. It’s the contrast of those two disciplines that makes branding such an exciting endeavor. I lay awake at night dreaming of ways to translate subtle and complex human emotions into shapes and colors. I’ve pulled a handful of marks that represent some of my favorite and most challenging endeavors. From narrow target audiences and highly specific briefs, to virtually no client instruction and nearly complete artistic freedom these marks represent the range of my work thus far.
Layout holds a very special place in my heart. Designing double trucks as a teenager is what ignited my infatuation with design, and propelled me to express more comprehensive subjects through graphic art. I learned early on that more often than not there exist layers of human emotions that when put through the scope of the English language really fall flat. But it’s not until viewed through the lens of design that they really begin to fly off the page, and can truly compel audiences to shift their positions emotionally. I’ve selected some very recent pieces to share with you. Over the years I’ve looked for assignments that would allow me to use a different design elements as the centerpiece. Whether it be a large work of photography, an intricate illustration, or a completely computer generated graphic, I treated each as a different window into the main copy, and ultimately support the core message of the author or client.

IN SEARCH OF... A place where I can work on projects that will impact people and the way they live. A circle of diverse and talented colleagues who will rival my skills taking my work to new places. I’m in search of a vehicle that will carry the excitement I have for design in to the future.
