Feb. 25 / All ages / Free: Free / South parking lot / Saturday, 8 a.m. to noon Bring your discarded household items, yard waste, tree trimmings, and other garbage. Televisions, electronics, computers, tires (<25/16), and large appliances and white goods will be accepted at this site only. No hazardous materials. Items such as paint, oil, gas, auto parts, aerosol cans will not be accepted at any site. Sponsored by Sarasota County Planning and Development Services/Code Enforcement. HAPPY HEARTS FUN DAYS (T-REC)

Year-round / Ages: 16 and up / Fee: Free / Main Hall / Second Saturday, 1-3 p.m. Inspiration, encouragement and fun for teens and adults with disabilities in a faith-based, nondenominational setting. 4-H BACKWOOD LIFE OF SOUTH COUNTY

October-May / Ages: 5-18 / Fee: Varies / Main Hall / First Wednesday of each month, 8-9:30 p.m. This club focuses on the development of leadership skills through the care and showing of large and small animals, plants, arts and crafts, and community service projects. We are a general club, welcoming all projects, and will focus on learning demonstrations, public speaking, and livestock judging this year. Cloverbuds accepted.
