Weather Los Angeles is generally warm and pleasant throughout the year. During the summer months the climate is very hot and dry, but during the winter months it’s usually cool and wet. Temperatures get as high as 90 degrees sometimes or even higher, and can also get as low as 50 degrees at times. Los Angeles does get smoggy, especially in the lower areas and in the valleys. Strong dusty winds also blow in from Santa Monica coming from the surrounding mountains.
