Since I was in college I was already a regular guest in their Manila and Makati branch. When I got the opportunity to bring it in my hometown, Marikina, I didn’t think twice! the restaurant after their son Angelo. It’s a small place but very classy and elegant. Outside is like an Italian café and inside is warm and inviting and the ambience is very relaxing.

We were greeted by friendly staff upon arriving.

The smell of the food made us hungrier. The menu consists of Italian, Spanish and Filipino cuisines and also specializes in different blends of coffee. The owners were so generous to offer us their bestsellers Chicago White, Seafood Marinara, Brazo de Mercedes and their unique iced tea. Chicago White, a deep dish pizza, isn’t your traditional pizza. The pizza is stuffed with hams, pineapple and a delicious blend of cheeses accented by fresh herbs. The creamy texture of the cheese gives a nice contrast to their pizza dough. The pizza dough is made from whole wheat flour and is very light. The Seafood Marinara is seasoned perfectly. The ingredients are fresh and the tomato sauce is homemade. I could taste the flavors of the shrimps, clams and mussels and the presentation is not short of what you see on their menu.

Moving on to the dessert, the Brazo de Mercedes was exquisite and not too sweet.

surprise. It goes well with the meringue, the custard filling and the graham crust.

The Iced Tea was a delight.

It has a very unique blend that I haven’t tasted in any restaurants before. A hint of vanilla maybe, but you have to try it yourself. We wanted to eat more but our tummies were very full.

So, why did I use the words passion, comfort and warmth? Here are the reasons why. As an avid cook and a food lover, I really appreciate it when someone is really passionate about his/her cooking. food is delicious and healthy at the same time. The chefs are also passionate in their cooking that’s why the food is great. They make their own pizza dough, tomato sauce and bread as well.

The place is very comfortable. It has such a homey feel to it and I could stay in it for hours to enjoy my food and my coffee.

The owners and the staff are so welcoming and are very keen on the customers’ needs. There is a feeling of relaxation while filling up our tummies with good food.

The prices are reasonable and they serve good portions.

A fine dining for three without exceeding P1000.00 is not bad.

The next time I come back, I’m sure to try Tuna Salpicao, Chicago Supreme and Lasagna. For the hot drinks I recommend Coffee Latte, Green Tea and Spanish Chocolate.
