A Taste of Binondo in Marikina
My friend and I went to King Jao one afternoon to sample Binondo staples, honestly I wasn’t expecting much, but I was blown away by their one special dish.
So we were there for a snack and ordered the following: Special Chinese Lumpia, Special Lomi and Siomai. The Special Lomi is good for sharing, the serving is big and the price is only 35 Pesos. It’s better than some of the lomi I’ve had, although they can reduce the salt a bit. The Siomai is 20 Pesos for 4 pcs. You can definitely taste the meat and other to page 3 spices. Their

● The original box of eight (8) colors Crayola Crayons was first introduced in 1903 and was sold for a nickel which included the same 8 colors that are found in an 8-pack today namely, red, yellow, blue, green, orange, brown, violet (purple), black. ● The famous crayon brand, Crayola names their crayon color based from the book “Color: Universal Language and Dictionary of Names” which was published by the U.S. Bureau of Standards. They use this as reference guide so they can refer to a standard color system and color names. Also, many crayon names are also borrowed from traditional artists’ paint. Moreover, to help them name crayon colors, they have also asked customers through various promotions. ● Blackboard chalk isn’t made of chalk. It used to be made from natural chalk, which is a type of limestone composed of the mineral calcite, but it has since been replaced by compressed gypsum (calcium sulfate). A Taste of Binondo in Marikina
Special Chinese Lumpia is the dish that surprised me. I really thought that I was going to eat the same old fresh lumpia. It’s not that I don’t like fresh lumpia, but I’ve tasted a lot of it from different restaurants and it all tastes the same. King Jao’s lumpia is different and it’s good!!! It’s really good! It is prepared upon order so everything is fresh. There’s the crunch from the veggies and the seaweed, and the sauce goes well with it. They could add more seaweed but other than that it’s perfect. I’ll sure be coming back for their Special Chinese Lumpia. Overall, the food is good and the pricing is very reasonable. I have yet to sample their other dishes.
King Jao is a small establishment located in NGI, Parang, Marikina. You wouldn’t probably see it right away if you’re not familiar with the area, but it’s just in front of Pure Gold Jr. They also accept bulk orders within a 1 day lead time. You should try their dishes. I recommend the Special Chinese Lumpia. This Binondo staple is definitely already one of my favorites.
