Welcome Spring is the time of year when opportunities to grow and move forward in the agricultural industry are plentiful, and the rewards from those ventures have in recent years been very profitable. The OVAC Classic Angus sale has become a part of those springtime traditions and the opportunities available in this year’s event far exceed any of the previous offerings. The sale is bigger, of higher quality, has more pedigree diversity and offers much more in terms of frozen genetics than ever before. The purebreds for sale include highly sought after young pairs, bred and open replacement heifers that could also compete as 4-H or junior show prospects and herd building bulls. There are more commercial Angus influenced females on offer that will showcase the merits of this great Angus breed in a crossbreeding program. Plan to attend one of the longest running Angus sales in Canada to take advantage of the opportunities that spring, a new growing season and this strong cattle cycle has to offer. If we can be of any assistance to to make your participation at the Classic sale easier feel free to contact us.

Hoard’s Station Community Livestock Exchange Since 1949 Welcome to Hoards Station If it seems as though farmers in Eastern Ontario are missing every Tuesday afternoon, it might just be the truth. Starting at noon, Hoards Station Community Livestock Exchange hosts a weekly Livestock auction. Every Tuesday there are a variety of livestock going through the barn including pigs, sheep, goats, dairy cattle, springers and beef cattle. It’s not uncommon to see horses, donkeys, mules and llamas as well. And don’t forget the lunch counter where local church groups host home-cooked meals for the crowd. Along with our regular Tuesday sale we also have special cow sales, stocker sales and host other purebred events. Hoards Station welcomes the 2015 Ottawa Valley Angus Club Classic Sale. After last year’s successful inaugural event, we are very excited to host Angus enthusiasts from across Ontario to evaluate this good offering. As with all of our auctions, we strive to make your sale a success so please do not hesitate to ask us for help.

First Line Jane Marie 42C is a full sister to the cow that Ron & Linda Bryant bought out of the Bluewater Sale last fall. 42C is a daughter of our herdsire FLA 8X that is a grandson of Kodiak 5R and leaves his same stamp on every female.
