JUANSE TABARES
WHY?
Selina Buenos Aires is a place to find new experience traveling in the beautiful capital of Argentina, is placed in a studio of modern architecture building of the 30s this place was designed for Antonio Bonet, Spanish modern architect. The building called "Estudio para los artistas" or "Edificio Paraguay" is located in the central area of the city, has two facades that face west and therefore has a mobile blind in its corner. I decided to intervene the terrace to make a space Selina - Library - Cafe - Terrace - Wellness space this in order to integrate various uses of the building, thinking that this is the right place to go relax, read a book, see the skyline of the city. I took as inspiration the old coffee places of Buenos Aires, the Filete porteĂąo as graphic applications, Mariposa chair as an icon of the Argentine design in furniture and elements that complement well for this project.
