Although the relationship between culture and commerce can often prioritise the former over the latter, We must recognise the many complex, hidden interdepencies between them in contemporary society. Rather than moments of dissension, we see them as opportunities. The many latent effects of cultural projects may not be obvious, but play a large role in reshaping cities. My design aim is to revitalise the pragmatic, sober town of Newbiggin by the sea. Through this lens, my aim to exploit the performative element of the theatre, and of architecuture in general, far beyond its conventional functions. I believe that architecture should encourage interaction between the architect, The object and the public, This, in my design, drama and circus performance are not restricted to the theatre, but reach out to enhance the liveliness of the city

UNDERSTANDING CONTEXT +

The site is located in Newbiggin by the sea in Northumberland coast, United Kingdom. It has four seasons, strong wind and cloudy sky. The site has transparent landscape (‘nothing there, but there’s something there’) that mostly covered by empty grasslands. It is an interesting area with a lots of unique events and culture. It has one of the longest promenade in Northumberland, the couple statue located on the sea wall, and St. Bartholomew’s church which is the main landmarks of the site. The promenade and beach itself become a public display for perfomance and event such as easter kite festival and camping on the sea. Other interesting part is, it has circus and theatre community that perform in Newbiggin Maritime Centre every three months. The only down side of the site is the community and cultural events lacks the iniative to promote the town and there is no connection between the community and public. From this general finding my idea is to create a beacon for the cultural events and community to promote and gives new trend and colour to the town.
Creating a loop for visitor to enjoy the never ending circus performances.

EXPLORING EXPERIENCE + + + + The main purpose of the building is to increase awereness of plastic consumption, education centre, and meeting space. There are two artists who live permanently as an professional film model maker who also teach visitors in digital film making and model making, and the other 2 artist as an experimental bioplastic painter, who create and experiment with the facade panel. The building also has a small scale recycle plastic factory gathered from nearest area to become the main source of material to make miniatures and small furniture that later can be exhibit and sell in shop.

CONCERT HOUSE
WORK PROJECT
A strip of terrace house located in Bintaro, the Concert Hall House is a highly personalised response to the clients brief for space where music can take centre stage. Reimagining the potential of a compact inner-city site, the house sits comfortably within the heritage context whilst providing dramatic interior spaces. Where the music room is connected to the living and dining room for the family to enjoy the music while doing other activities in different spaces.
DANCING SHADOW A House inspired by the beauty of darkness. In a hot and humid climate like Indonesia, the shadows create a pleasantly gentle and composed feelings. Protecting us from the harsh light of the sun. The soft soap finished oak wood is mysteriously gives a faint dreamlike glow when reacting with the shadow. The poetic quality of this house comes from this facade. The lattice work composition inpired by Japanese Lattice work filtering the entry of light into the space. The various level of facade density gives a level of privacy based on the house program.
SPLIT VIEW HOUSE Hierarchy and spatial flexibility are the essence of this house, where a sense of fluidity and harmony are assential for visual connection between space. We kept all these in mind when designing Split View House. We are exploring on the innovative typology of domestic landscapes. The leveled floor of the house projecting a visual illusion between spaces. When you look through the window from living room you see a ‘rain forest’, creating a visual seduction, but when you go down its actually a dining room. The interior design inspired by the different types of landscape. The lush of rain forest from dining room, alluring and calm desert from living room, and the mysterious and surreal feel of the deep sea from master bedroom.
PELITA HOUSE
My Design Concept fot this house is combining discreet family accommodation with generous spaces for entertaining, the design of this house balances the constraints of the site with the alternating requirements for privacy and transparency. The house owes more to the simplicity of a Bali sala and the concept of an adaptive architecture. The tropical climate is exploited in the planting of the garden, while the deep overhang of the roof, raised above a layer of clerestory windows, offers protection from the sun and monsoon rains.
F L O AT I N G WORLD Two Story aparment located in Neo Soho. Slices of glazing inserted between the base of the thick walls and the concrete floor are designed to make the partitions look like they are levitating, while allowing natural light to filter into the centre of the plan. The idea came from the apartment low ceiling height, causing an oppressive feeling in the space. The space was 2.2 metres tall at its highest point and 1.9 metres at lowest point. To solve this problem we removed the existing false ceiling and added sections of wall and mirror under the beams to create a floating wall to make the space look bigger. Strip lighting set into the white wall and furnitures highlights the interventions and is designed to enhance the sense of floating.
INDONESIAN EMBASSY
Indonesian Embassy in Mexico is a renovation and extension project. The brief of this project is to introcude Indonesian Culture in Mexico. My concept for this project is to re-imagined Indonesia, The wall panel taking reference from the mystical atmosphere from Borobudur Temple. The prefab wooden laminate panel walls are combine with hanged stone tiles hand carved on site. I also perform site analysis and help to determine which wall can be demolished or preserve.
