Pyrotex was established in 1999 by Mark Kelsall. “My love for fireworks saw me working voluntarily with different professional firework display companies around the country and after gaining much practical experience I decided to make a major life change and start my own business. Pyrotex Fireworx was born, and I was in my element doing a job which I loved and getting paid for it! I have to admit, though, my passion for pyrotechnics meant that I was putting up more fireworks than the customer had actually ordered!”

Hannah Clarkson joined Mark in 2004 “My first introduction to fireworks was as a small child watching the November display at our local Town Hall. It was bitterly cold, with a hot dog in one hand a sparkler in the other, we were set to watch the magical fireworks – I loved it! At the age of fifteen I got myself a job with a retail firework company where I was employed in the office taking orders over the phone and helped set up and man a few of their retail stores, and yes I got to watch the testing and firing of the products. I had the best job in the whole world!”

The last few years have been an amazing journey for Pyrotex. After winning the British Musical Firework Champions in 2010, we exhibited at the UK Festival of Fireworks in 2011 and then went on to retain our title at the 2011 British Musical Firework Champions which has only been achieved once before in the entire history of the competition. In 2012, we were selected to represent England in the Monaco International Musical Firework Championships and are delighted to announce that we won both the judges and the public award. Pyrotex, a family owned business, had become International Champions which was made all the better as our story was covered by the BBC TV Programme “Blue Peter”. Professional Displays
From a few minutes of intense aerial shell bursts to a thirty minute display spread across multiple locations, we can work with you to create the most amazing show to suit your budget, location and personal tastes. Using the night sky as our canvas and fireworks as our paint, we can create a masterpiece before your very eyes. Our portfolio of work and client testimonials is evidence of our dedication, passion and high standards.
Where space is restricted, or where traditional fireworks would be unsuitable, we create displays using close proximity pyrotechnics designed with precision effects, cold burn and zero fallout. Typically we use effects such as gerbs, comets, flash pots, strobes, mines, waterfalls and fountains. Creating multiple chase sequences, lattice effects or having them set to music produces a show which is both theatrical and dramatic.

Fireworks choreographed to music and fired with split second timing is undoubtedly a winning combination. With our display designer’s background in DJ’ing throughout Europe for a major music agent, together with his ear for music and product knowledge, it gives us the ability to produce cutting edge award winning Pyromusical displays. By choreographing fireworks to the music in such a way that they perfectly compliment the sentiment of the songs, it enables the audience to experience much more than just a firework display.
Low Noise Displays
For locations where noise levels are restricted and to minimize noise pollution to neighbours, the local environment and nearby livestock, we use specially designed low noise fireworks which have a reduced star burst to lower the noise level. Design is concentrated on the colour content and effects, creating a stunningly beautiful display.
Using the world’s most advanced wireless firing system we can fire simultaneously from multiple locations where physical wiring would be difficult or impossible to implement such as roof tops or waterborne displays. These shows are perfect for high profile events as they deliver an incredible panoramic spectacular.
Live Music Displays
Taking pyromusicals to the next level and having fireworks dancing through the night sky in complete harmony to a live band or orchestra creates the most awe inspiring atmosphere. We work closely with music directors and use a trial track to gain maximum impact from the fireworks. Using the movement, colours, effects and noise, which are timed to the rise and fall of the tempo, both energetic and softer releases are used to enable the audience to appreciate the variety and beauty of the music.

Show Starter
Surprise a guest or have a celebrity start the show with our remote firing control panel creating a great photo opportunity or countdown with your audience. Combining the show starter with effects such as a very loud maroon burst, or the illumination of a walkway with fountains, is a great way to grab the crowd’s attention.
Lancework / Set Pieces
These handmade pieces of artwork are made from many coloured lances fused together to create an image and/ or text when lit. Common examples include logos, flags, welcomes or farewells. We can create almost any image you require, we even have colour changing lances and strobing lances so the possibilities are endless.
Fire Writing / Fire Sculptures
Have your name or logo spelt out in a blaze of fire of almost any size. Complex graphics or text can be presented in raw flame using fire rope. The rope is shaped and mounted on a metal template of the graphic which will burn for approximately 5 minutes.
