Our Aussie bride met her Dutch groom whilst travelling in Europe through their shared love of motor sport. They are both rally car drivers and together have won grand prix titles in Europe with Timo driving and Rebecca as his co driver . Timo’s parents couldn’t be happier with their new daughter–in-law as they also shared a love of driving racing cars competitively. Rebecca’s brother is also a rally driver in Australia , so Motor Sport forms a common bond between the two families from 2 different countries. Rebecca decided to move to Holland to be with Timo. She grew up riding horses and enjoying an outdoor lifestyle on her parent’s rural property in Yandina. As her family still live there it was decided the wedding would be on the Sunshine Coast on the 6th of the 1st 2016 as this seemed like an auspicious date. Timo’s family and a large number of Dutch friends flew over from Holland for the wedding . Timo has a close knit circle of mates who all dressed in keeping with ding colour theme of grey , white and orange. ( see photos) The couple engaged me as photographer I have Dutch heritage and speak Dutch which they thought was a nice welcoming touch for their guests. Hearts were a theme in the decorations. After such a major life event, it's important to have a short honeymoon period that separates the ceremony, celebration and all the hubbub from the start of your new life.
