Dear Explorer, The first time I found my way into the Amazon jungle, I was left breathless by the sheer genius of nature. 7 days aboard the luxurious, All-New Amazon Discovery
DAY 1 - ARRIVE IQUITOS/EMBARK Upon arrival in Iquitos, you’ll be greeted by a member of the Amazon Discovery team. A short, air-conditioned, motor coach ride takes you through bustling streets where much of the city’s historical flavor can be seen in rickshaws, colorful tuk-tuks, and 19th century mansions financed by the rubber boom. Originally inhabited by Amerindian hunter-gatherers, Iquitos was established as a port city during the Spanish Colonial era. In the late 19th century, an increase in demand for rubber drew large numbers of European immigrants to the area. While this “rubber boom” brought great wealth and commercial development, it also had a devastating effect on the native populations. Upon arrival at Itaya River port, you’ll board the Amazon Discovery, then gather for cocktails and a celebratory welcome dinner as we make our way out of port and into the Amazon River. DAY 2 - MONKEY ISLAND/BORA COMMUNITY This morning, you’ll awaken to the songs of Amazonian birdlife and the distinct calls from La Isla de los Monos (Monkey Island). Monkey Island is home to eight species of endangered primates, including: howlers, capuchins, dusky titis, pigmy marmosets, and petite tamarins. After breakfast, we will board the Amazon Discovery’s skiffs and set off to meet with conservationists who are working to save monkeys that were orphaned or captured for trade. As you come ashore, you’ll be greeted by the mischievous local residents and Gilberto, the lead conservationist, who will describe the process of taking in sick and malnourished monkeys and preparing them for return to their natural habitat. Back on board, we’ll enjoy lunch and relaxing free time as we cruise to the Momon tributary and our next adventure – a visit to the village of the Bora people who maintain many of their original beliefs and customs. After coming ashore, we will meet members of the Bora community, visit their ceremonial lodge (maloca), and witness an exhilarating, stick-thumping, traditional dance performance. 14 CITY SQUARE IN IQUITOS
DAY 3 - TAHUAYO RIVER/YARAPA RIVER This morning, we will cruise the Tahuayo River, a tributary of the Amazon, to a favorite feeding spot of the Pink River Dolphin. Also known as the boto, these intelligent creatures are the largest freshwater dolphins in the world. In addition to their pink color, they boast un-fused neck vertebrae that allow them to turn their heads up to 180 degrees, enabling maneuverability among the underwater tree trunks of the rainforest. The Tahuayo is one of several “black water” rivers we will encounter on our journey. It gets its color from tannins that leach into the water from the rich forest soil. After greeting the pink dolphins, you’ll have the chance to go for a swim in this unique environment. Back on board, we’ll enjoy lunch while we cruise to the Yarapa River. Then go ashore for a walk on the terra firma (un-flooded forest). Your naturalist guide will explain the layers of the jungle, point out tropical flowers growing wild on the shores of creeks, epiphytes such as orchids and mosses, as well as small monkeys, birds, butterflies, and green iguanas. DAY 4 - AMAZON HEADWATERS/SAN FRANCISCO VILLAGE This morning we will awaken in an historic place – the confluence of the Ucayali and Marañon rivers – where the mighty Amazon River is born. Before the heat of the day, we’ll set off on short skiff ride to Piranha Caño (or Marayali Caño) to catch the early morning activity of the local wildlife. After breakfast, we’ll cruise to San Francisco Village, where our ship will be met by the local children of the Shipibo community. Accompanied by an expert guide and interpreter, we will have the unique opportunity to visit their homes and school and peruse their embroidery and beadwork. After lunch on board, we’re off again on a hike into one of the most biologically diverse rainforests on earth—where canopy trees, such as the Kapok (ceiba pentandra) reach up to 55 meters (180 feet) in height. During our walk, a naturalist guide will provide insights into rare medicinal plants and exotic birds such as the bluish-fronted jacamar, collared trogons, and red-capped cardinals.

DAY 5 - PACAYA SAMIRIA RESERVE/ NAUTA CAÑO NIGHT EXCURSION This morning, we’ll begin with a skiff excursion into the pure, black waters of the Yana Yacu Pucate River (a protected area within the Pacaya Samiria Reserve). Here, you’ll see brilliant parrots, hummingbirds, hawks, and “laughing” falcons. Spot pink and grey dolphins swimming below and red howler monkeys in the canopy above. Zoom-in on exotic spiders, dragonflies, butterflies, and tarantulas. Perhaps even catch glimpses of the endangered charapa turtle, spider monkey, giant river otter, or red macaw. The largest wildlife preserve in Peru, Pacaya Samiria boasts more than five million acres of rich biodiversity. Throughout the day, expert naturalist guides will assist you in identifying flora and fauna from more than 527 species of birds, 102 mammals, 69 reptiles, 58 amphibians, nearly 300 varieties of fish, 1024 species of wild and cultivated plants, and innumerable classes of insects.

After lunch, we’ll cruise quietly near the shores of Nauta Caño watching the marshes, streams, and oxbows for wild life. Then, we’ll board our skiffs and set off for a hidden lake and an exhilarating piranha fishing adventure. There are over 25 different species of piranhas in the Amazon River Basin, including black-, white-, and red-bellied piranhas. During the rainy season, the river floods the forest with more than three feet of water. This attracts piranhas and other fish who come to feed on the low-hanging flowers, fruits, and skins of flooded trees. As the sun sinks lower in the sky, and the jungle comes alive again with a cacophony of sound, you’ll witness for yourself why Nauta Caño is known as the “mirrored forest.” After dark, we’ll embark on a night safari with powerful spotlights to help us see herons, spectacled owls, exotic frogs, tree boas, fish bats, and caimans. Back on board, we’ll toast a spectacular day over another delicious evening meal and indulge in late night star gazing.

DAY 6 - SANTA ANA VILLAGE/IQUITOS This morning, after a light breakfast, we’ll cruise up another tributary to visit the local community of Santa Ana Village. Here, we’ll be treated to an enchanting dance performance by the children, with music provided by the parents. After the show, we’ll have a chance to shop their arts and crafts market. Back on the ship, we’ll enjoy a relaxing afternoon of scenic cruising as we return to the city of Iquitos. In port, a special farewell dinner experience awaits at Al Frio y al Fuego, a floating gourmet restaurant and one of the city’s cherished jewels. Here, you’ll dine on the local cuisine of Chef Carlos Sebastiani while you savor stunning views of Iquitos at sunset.
DAY 7 - DISEMBARK/IQUITOS CITY TOUR This morning, we’ll disembark the Amazon Discovery and take one last guided excursion into Iquitos for a tour of the Casa de Fierro (Iron House), which was designed by French architect Gustave Eiffel. Next, we’ll visit the Manatee Rescue Center, where you can see these gentle creatures up close, learn about the rescue efforts, and even feed them with a bottle of milk. After a picnic lunch, you’ll transfer to the airport via coach and say goodbye to the Amazon River as you catch your flight for home ... or on to your next adventure.

Begin with a drive through Miraflores and San Isidro, past spectacular views of the Pacific Ocean and lush gardens such as the Parque de los Enamorados (Lovers’ Park). Your ultimate destination is the historic centre of Lima, the Ciudad de los Reyes, or City of Kings. Founded in 1535 by Francisco Pizarro, this was the capital of the Viceroyalty of Peru and the heart of Spanish rule in South America. Today it is a UNESCO World Heritage Site filled with magnificent 17th-18th century Hispano-American baroque buildings that have miraculously survived numerous earthquakes. The Passage Contract will be included with your final travel documents and contains complete and important information regarding cancellations, itineraries, Haimark S.A., Ltd.’s liability, health and immigration requirements, and other relevant terms and conditions. The terms and conditions of the Passage Contract will apply to persons who have booked a cruise regardless of whether or not they have embarked the vessel. Please read your Passage Contract carefully. To the extent that any of the information in the brochure conflicts with the terms of the Passage Contract, the terms and conditions contained in the Passage Contract shall control. Itinerary arrival and departure times are always subject to change without notice. Haimark S.A., Ltd. reserves the right to cancel, alter, advance, postpone or substitute any scheduled sailing or itinerary, substitute another vessel for the scheduled ship, or substitute or cancel scheduled ports of call, which, in its sole judgment and discretion, is justified for any reason, and to do so without liability for any loss whatsoever to guests as a result of
said change(s). Additionally, Haimark S.A., Ltd. reserves the right to cancel reservations and bookings in the event of a full-ship charter, whether or not a deposit or full payment has been received, and in such event, Haimark S.A., Ltd. ‘s only liability will be to refund to the guest the amount it has received. Haimark S.A., Ltd. makes arrangements for transportation, other than cruise passage, only as a booking agent. Haimark S.A., Ltd.’s responsibility does not extend beyond the vessel. In arranging for the transportation of guests to and from the ship, Haimark S.A., Ltd. does so with independent contractors. Haimark S.A., Ltd. is not responsible for incidents such as airline cancellations, re-routings or any disruption of scheduled services or accommodation, or lost luggage. All schedules, fares, and terms and conditions listed in this brochure are effective as of October, 2014 and supersede any schedules, prices, and terms and conditions previously published. All fares indicated in this brochure including land and hotel, are capacity controlled, subject to change at anytime without notice and do not guarantee availability. All are subject to change and/or cancellation without notice. Travel documents will not be dispatched until full and final payment and passenger contact information has been received by Haimark S.A., Ltd. and cleared. For purposes of this Agreement, contact information shall mean a passenger’s full name, passport number, address, telephone number (land and mobile), electronic mail address and emergency contact information and any other information as requested
by Haimark S.A., Ltd. Haimark S.A., Ltd. must be able to reach each passenger’s emergency contact at any time of day. Haimark S.A., Ltd. must therefore be provided with all information to allow Haimark S.A., Ltd. to do so (such information should include the name, address, electronic mail address (if available) and phone number (including a cell phone number if available) of a parent, guardian, spouse, domestic partner, or other person to contact in the event of an emergency. No passenger will be allowed to embark a Haimark S.A., Ltd. vessel unless Haimark S.A., Ltd. has received all information. CRUISE TARIFF Cruise fares cover certain shipboard services including: accommodations, shore excursions, onboard meals and entertainment, complimentary beverages aboard ship where noted in the respective cruise program brochure. All fares are quoted in US dollars, are per guest and based on double occupancy. Not included in your cruise tariff are: airfare, hotel accommodations, optional shore excursions, meals ashore(unless otherwise noted), beverages not highlighted as included, fuel surcharges, laundry (unless otherwise noted), purchases from the ship boutique or any item or service of a personal nature such as medical care, massages, and spa treatments.

TRAVEL PROFESSIONALS Travel agents are considered to be the agent of Passenger and not of Carrier. Carrier is not liable for any representation, act or omission of Passenger’s travel agent. Passenger’s cruise fare is not considered paid until Carrier receives full payment, and the amount thereof is subject to change at any time prior to Carrier’s receipt of payment. Passenger shall at all times remain liable to Carrier for the price of passage. Carrier reserves the right to refuse embarkation if all charges and surcharges have not been paid in advance of departure. DEPOSIT/FINAL PAYMENT To reserve your cruise, a $850. per person deposit of the cruise fare is required at the time of booking. Pre and/or Post Extension Land Programs are subject to a $250 per person deposit. Final payment is due no later than 120 days prior to departure. Guests will not be permitted to change travel agents once final payment has been received by Haimark S.A., Ltd. Final documentation will be issued after receipt of final payment and approximately 30 days prior to sailing. All reservations are subject to cancellation if payments are not received by the due date, and are guaranteed only when paid in full 120 days prior to sailing. Reservations made within 120 days of sailing require full payment within seven days of booking or sooner, as specified by Haimark. Payments may be made by personal check (USD funds), or by VISA®, MasterCard®. Discover®, and American Express®.

CANCELLATIONS/REFUNDS Should you find it necessary to cancel your reservation or any component thereof, you and/or your Travel Professional are required to contact your Haimark S.A., Ltd. directly by telephone as well as submit your cancellation in writing via E-mail to info@haimarktravel. com.
HEALTH AND MEDICAL REQUIREMENTS
If your cancellation request is received more than 120 days prior to your initial sailing date, a $500 non- refundable administrative fee will be charged per booking. This administrative fee may be not converted to a future cruise credit.

Cruise tickets must be returned to Haimark S.A., Ltd. before refunds (if owed) can be processed. All guests are required to report in writing to Haimark S.A., Ltd. at the time their reservation is made: 1. Any physical or mental condition that may require medical or professional treatment or attention during the voyage
3. Any condition that may pose a risk or danger to the guest or anyone else onboard the ship

Any intention or need to use a wheelchair cart, other mobility device By booking passage and by boarding the ship, the guest represents and warrants that he/she is physically and otherwise fit to travel, and that the guest will comply at all times with applicable rules and regulations of the ship and orders and instructions of the ship’s officers. Haimark S.A., Ltd. reserves the right without liability to require a guest to disembark and/or to refuse to board and transport a guest who, in the judgment of Haimark S.A., Ltd. or the ship’s Captain, is unfit to travel or may require care beyond that which Haimark S.A., Ltd. is reasonably able to provide. Haimark S.A., Ltd. strongly recommends that guests are able to navigate the stairs on-board without assistance. Should guests require assistance, they must travel with someone who is able to assist them both ashore and onboard. Haimark S.A., Ltd. is unable to offer special assistance. Please note that wheelon and/or wheel-off access is not available at ports-of-call.
BAGGAGE
LOST PROPERTY
You may bring aboard the ship a reasonable amount of clothing and personal effects without charge. Baggage for Haimark S.A., Ltd. guests or guests on our land extension programs must be handled in accordance with regulations of our ground operators. Baggage exceeding these limitations is subject to the charges as set forth by the individual operators. Airlines are strict with baggage limitations. Guests are encouraged to contact individual airlines for weight limitations.
Haimark S.A., Ltd. may levy a charge for the return of personal items left onboard or lost and subsequently found.
All baggage must be securely packed, and properly and clearly labeled. Liquid, fragile, perishable and other articles not suitably packed are transported at your own risk. Haimark S.A., Ltd. is not responsible for loss or damage to baggage or any other personal item during air travel or land extension programs. Baggage and personal belongings will be taken off the ship upon guest disembarkation. Under no circumstances will baggage be stored onboard without the owner of such baggage being on the vessel. Haimark S.A., Ltd. is not responsible for baggage stored in shore side facilities. Under no circumstances may dangerous items (including but not limited to: explosives, firearms, combustible or illegal substances) be taken aboard the ship. We recommend that you hand-carry travel documents (passport, visa, cruise tickets), medications and valuables. These items are the full responsibility of the guest at all times. Haimark S.A., Ltd. shall not be responsible for the loss of, or damage to, such personal items.
TRAVEL DOCUMENTS All travel documents (air and cruise tickets, passport and medical insurance information) are the guest’s responsibility. It is also the guest’s responsibility to obtain any necessary visas and public health documents for all applicable ports and to comply with all customs requirements. Without the required documents, a guest may be denied boarding and accommodation by Haimark S.A., Ltd. or the guest may be disembarked during the voyage and Haimark S.A., Ltd. will not make a refund or be otherwise liable to any guest for such denial of boarding or disembarkation. In the event that Haimark S.A., Ltd. as a courtesy provides information or advice as to necessary travel documents, visas and medical inoculations, guests are still obligated to verify such information with the appropriate government authorities and Haimark S.A., Ltd. does not warrant or guarantee the accuracy of such information. Passports are required to be valid six months beyond intended stay. Please check with the appropriate consulate for specific requirements. Security measures imposed by governments may change from time to time and each guest will be required to comply with them. As a courtesy, we will endeavor to provide each guest with notice of measures that may affect them, but complying with any such requirements is the sole responsibility of each guest. Please consult your travel professional for advice on such requirements to avoid loss of boarding privileges.
TAXES, GOVERNMENT FEES/ QUASIGOVERNMENT FEES AND FUEL SUPPLEMENTS Haimark S.A., Ltd.. reserves the right to pass through to its guests (including fully paid and deposited guests) any taxes and government fees/quasi-government fees that relate specifically to a guest’s itinerary. “Taxes and Government fees/quasi-government fees” include any and all fees, charges, surcharges, tolls and taxes imposed by governmental or quasi-governmental authorities including, but not limited to, customs fees, per person berth taxes or fees, embarkation and/or disembarkation fees at ports, airline transportation fees, dockage fees, and wharfage fees. Haimark S.A., Ltd. reserves the right to charge a per person fuel supplement in the event that the price of increases up to and including the day of embarkation. Haimark S.A., Ltd. may collect any taxes, government fees/ quasigovernment fees and fuel supplement (the “Surcharges”) at the time of booking, prior to sailing or on board the vessel, even if the cruise fare has been paid in full. Surcharges will be invoiced accordingly. All fares, and itineraries are subject to change without notice. Additional restrictions may apply.
