History • The F&F brand is owned by Tesco.

• Launched in the UK and ROI in 2001, F&F is now a truly global fashion brand with stores in 21 countries.

• In 2010 Tesco opened its first F&F stand-alone store in Prague, Czech Republic. The second opened in Brno, Czech Republic in 2011, and the third in Warsaw, Poland in 2012.


29 February, 2012 Tesco clothing online first with virtual 3D fitting room • • •

Customers can create 3D digital versions of themselves from a photograph uploaded on to a virtual fitting room page. This is found on their Facebook page Facebook page clothingattesco. Customers will be able to choose from a selection of 50 new season items, and a further 10 garments will be added each week during the trial. If customers like what they try on, they can add to basket and purchase on the Tesco clothing website. The F&F virtual fitting room also gives customers the opportunity to try out various hairstyles to create different looks and even the option to share their favourite outfits with selected friends on Facebook for feedback. Emily Shamma, Director of Tesco Clothing Online, said: "Although there has been talk about ‘virtual fitting rooms’ before, until now the technology has not been able to combine styling, accurate fit and size based on peoples’ specific measurements. Shopping with your virtual self helps you to see what dress might suit you best, what top goes with those skinny jeans or how a jacket might look with a particular skirt. It is also quick and easy to use, particularly for customers who don’t have the time or dislike having to trek around the shops. Customers simply upload two photos, or if preferred, enter their body measurements and a photo of their face. In just a few minutes the F&F fitting room creates your very own virtual body, to look


29 May, 2012 Virtual window shopping launches in Central London stores 24th May 2012 • Innovative virtual shopping technology • Posters of F&F clothing on display in the windows of the Covent Garden, Dean Street and Tooley Street flagship metro stores • Customers need to download an app and point their smart phones at the posters • Pictures transform into moving images on their phone • Show the F&F range from the catwalk • Can then add items they like to their virtulal shopping basket • Coincides with the arrival of Tescos Click and Collect service at the central London Metro stores • Shoppers can choose to have their items picked up from these stores or sent to an alternative address


13 April, 2014 F&F announces new global partnership in the USA • Tesco will be opening seven stores on the east coast of America this year in partnership with its US partner, Retail Group of America.

• The stores will feature full women’s, men’s and kids ranges with the first store opening near Boston in May. This will be followed by four stores in the world’s shopping capital, New York and stores in Philadelphia and Newport, Virginia.

• F&F has also opened its first store in Armenia. The fashion label continued its partnership with Al Hokair in Europe and Central Asia by opening the store in the Armenian capital, Yerevan. F&F has already opened a number of stores in Saudi Arabia, Kazakhstan and Georgia in partnership with Al Hokair.
