It’s heeeeere! Sunday, July 13th “The 35th Annual Metra Picnic”! (This isn’t your grandma’s picnic honey) My fav event of the year! Hundreds of GLBT gather to party from 10am until 8pm on a secluded park in Lenox Township! Peeps what a blast! I have not missed one in 35 years! It’s come a long ways since the Warsaw Park days (you know how you are) Now we have The “Bush Picnic Olympics” what a flipping hoot! Club Liquid won last year! The fab Summers Eve hosts the games from Douche Bag Central located just over the bridge. Good Lord Girl she comes up with some cra cra shit! I about peed myself last year just watching the teams compete. There is music and dancing in the pavilion, this year the DJ’s are as follows: 12-2pm Chuck Norris from the Liberty, 2pm-4pm its Scott K from the Male box and Liberty, 4pm-6pm DD from Menjo’s and by the way Menjo's is bringing their TEA Dance to the Picnic, and from 6pm-8pm it’s Chico and his dancing boys from Gigi’s! There will be three shows hosted by the one and only Nickki Stevens in the “Bitches In The Barn Performance!” It’s also FREE parking or you can catch one of the party busses from Menjo’s, Gigi’s or Temptations! There will be food vendors or BYO food and booze! BBQ grills are welcome! Tickets are $15 in advance or $20 at the gate, I heard there are still some $10 VIP tickets floating around out there (stop asking me what do you get with the VIP tickets, you get the ticket for $10 that’s what makes it VIP) Tickets available at local gay establishments or on line with Paypal! And of course at the Gate the day of the Picnic!
