For those of you who live in a cave and have not heard of the “Ice Bucket Challenge” Allow me to fill you in, The Ice Bucket stunt began, according to the Wall Street Journal, when professional golfers wanted to gain support for various pet charities. Early versions of the Ice Bucket challenge first started showing up as early as nine months ago! The process: Dump a bucket of ice water over your head, post video of it online, and then tag Facebook friends and family to do the same. The challenge requires participants to get soaked within 24 hours of being “nominated” or donate $100 to ALS (often referred to as the Lou Gehrig’s disease) As of August 21st the challenge has raised over $15 million!
