AT THE MOVIES
In this film someone is killing all the beautiful, young hipsters in East L.A. And following the cold bloody trail is the super-apathetic detective Charlie, a crime scene cleaner with a penchant for Sherlockian deductive work, hired by a private crime scene cleaning company, Aftershocks Inc. Charlie begins finding some unusual clues in the demo CD’s of indie brands left behind at the murder sites. it’s a cinematic goldmine for Wallace and Roger, the out-of-luck filmmakers working as freelance crime scene videographers for the police homicide department. They hatch what is a brillant, but dumb idea to film Charlie as he cracks the case and solves the murders, thinking they have a career making masterpiece, and possiably the most bizarre film-noir documentary ever made. The problem is, no one is really sure that Charlie isn’t the actual serial killer. As the bodies start to pile up, there’s a rival Danish film crew working the murders, and on top of that, it looks like the killer is making an experimental film of his own...which is so not cool. The film stars Blaise Miller, Suzanne May, Jeff Grace, Kevin M. Brennan, and Todd Berger. Also directing is todd Berger for Monterey Media. 10 Metra Magazine, Issue # 767
