Alaska Seaplanes is the premier commuter airline based in Juneau, Alaska. They operate a fleet of 14 aircraft. Their newest addition to the fleet is a Pilatus PC-12 – a fully pressurized, nine- passenger aircraft that flies above the weather cruising at speeds of up to 300mph and at altitudes of up to 29K feet. Alaska Seaplanes also operates 5 Cessna Caravans – one of the most capable aircraft in Southeast Alaska. Four of these aircraft are Supervan 900’s powered by a Honeywell (Garrett) 900 HP engine. They also operate a Piper Navajo Chieftain and two C-207’s. Five of these aircraft are regularly flown on an IFR platform to improve reliability in SE Alaska’s challenging weather conditions. In addition to the Caravan on floats, Alaska Seaplanes owns and operates three deHavilland Beavers and two C-206’s to give them the versatility to get you where you need to go. Alaska Seaplanes provides year-round scheduled service to twelve communities from Juneau. These include Angoon, Tenakee Springs, Pelican and Elfin Cove on floats, and Skagway, Haines, Gustavus Hoonah, Kake, Sitka, Klawock and Excursion Inlet on wheels. They carry passengers, U.S. Mail, freight and UPS on their scheduled flights. They also specialize in custom charters for passengers or freight anywhere in Alaska, Canada and the Pacific Northwest. Alaska Seaplanes is also a partner in Pack Creek Bear Tours – the premier, fully-guided excursion to the Pack Creek Bear Sanctuary on Admiralty Island. Adam Alaska Seaplanes is pleased to introduce Adam Weber, our new employee in Dispatch! Adam was born in Anchorage but raised in West Texas. He has been back in Juneau for one year, and would consider himself a life-long learner! After serving in the Air Force, he received a Journeyman qualification rating in Financial Management and an Associate’s Degree in Education from UASF, as well as State of Alaska certification as an Education Paraprofessional. Although he is rather new to the airline industry, his experience in the Air Force has been essential to his training and progress with us. Adam enjoys ready novels, playing electric guitar, sketching and gaming; as well as outdoor activities such as hiking, camping and playing tennis. He enjoys SE Alaska, even the weather, after having spent most of his life in Texas and 8 years on the North Slope (Anaktuvuk Pass). He understands the essential need for flying to remote places, and enjoys working with a top tier of professionals such as Alaska Seaplanes.
