Chapter 1 ‘‘T ime to get up, Caleb.’’ The dad knocks at the door while he said that. Caleb turn over to his back and rubbed his eyes. He got off the bed, got out of his room, he saw his dad waking two of his brothers up. He walked up to the restroom door, tried to open it. Caleb knocked at the door, saying, ‘‘Give me my toothbrush.’’ His brother knocked at the door, repeating what Caleb said. Caleb said, ‘‘Seriously, Troy. Give me my toothbrush.’’ Troy said, ‘‘What? Don’t give you your toothbrush? Ok I won’t.’’ Caleb grabbed the doorknob, shook the door, then hit the door. Troy did the samething as Caleb. A few seconds later, a deep manly voice said, ‘‘Give, him, his toothbrush, NOW.’’ Troy knew it meant business, Troy slightly open the door, he gave him the toothbrush, and closed the door. The dad said, ‘‘We are going to talk after school, boy.’’ Caleb went to another restroom, watch his face, and got ready.
Meanwhile in another house, a woman went to her only daughter’s bedroom, and whispered, ‘‘Honey, time for school.’’ Moving her daughter softly. The girl didn’t move an inch, the mom moved her softly again, whispering, ‘‘Honey, time for school.’’ The girl slowly opened her eyes, the mom said, ‘‘Time to get up Sharon.’’ Sharon got up, walked to the restroom, she stumbled to the walls. Her mom guided her to the restroom, Sharon washed her face, brushed her teeth, got dressed, and ate breakfast. The mom asked, ‘‘Excited for school?’’ Sharon said, ‘‘Not really. I don’t like school.’’ The mom said, ‘‘You sound like your mother.’’ She walked over to Sharon, saying, ‘‘I didn’t like school either, but like how one of my
old friends used to say, ‘‘It concocts you for the real world.’’ Sharon asked, ‘‘What does that mean?’’ The mom said, ‘‘To get you ready, y’know.’’ Sharon asked, ‘‘Where’s your friend?’’ The mom said, ‘‘I don’t know, we haven’t talked for a while.’’
Sharon asked, ‘‘Why?’’ Her mom said, ‘‘Grown up stuff. Now go get ready, and stop asking questions, missy.’’ In a playful voice. Sharon went to her room and got dress. Back in Caleb’s house, he walked out the door, got into the car, and drove to school. After fifteen minutes, they arrived at school. Caleb open the door, got down the car, close the door, and started walking. His dad rolled down the window, ‘‘Caleb!’’ Caleb turned with an annoyed face. His dad said, ‘‘Remember, put GOD first!’’ Caleb mouth the words, ‘‘Yeah, I know.’’ He said, ‘‘Bye, boy!’’ His dad drove off, then after a few seconds, another car drove up into pickup/drop off area. Sharon’s mom said, ‘‘Ok, Sharon. We’re here.’’ Sharon said, ‘‘Ok mom. Bye. They hugged each other, ‘‘You behave, ok?’’
Sharon said, ‘‘Ok, I will.’’ Her mom kissed her, then Sharon got off of the car, and she walked to class. She arrived in her assigned class, while Caleb got to his assigned class.
Chapter 2
The teacher introduce herself to the class.

twenty minutes later, the teacher began to teach. She taught for an hour, then she gave the assignments, and the students got to work. Sometime later, Caleb came up to the teacher, saying, ‘‘I need some help, I don’t understand the problems.’’ The teacher said, ‘‘Well, let me help you.’’ When another student came, and said, ‘‘I’m done Mrs. Hardy.’’ The teacher took the student’s paper and evaluated it. ‘‘Good work, Sharon.’’ Mrs. Hardy said, ‘‘Sharon, would you mind helping Caleb with his work?’’ Sharon said, ‘‘No Mrs. Hardy.’’ She turned to Caleb, ‘‘Come on Caleb. Let me help you.’’ Caleb followed Sharon to her desk, she started to help him. While she was helping him, he saw that she had an, ‘‘Avengers Age Of Ultron’’ pencil. Caleb said,
‘‘Cool, you like the Avengers.’’ Sharon said, ‘‘Yup, my favorite are Black Widow and Iron Man.’’ She asked, ‘‘Who are your favorite Avengers?’’ Caleb said, ‘‘Thor and Hulk. I’m a fan of Thor it reminds me I’m a prince of the real GOD.’’ Sharon asked, ‘‘How do you know you’re a prince of GOD?’’ Caleb said, ‘‘In first Peter two nine, it says, ‘‘Ye are a royal priesthood.’’ Since GOD is my real Father, HE’s a KING and my Father. That makes me a prince.’’ Sharon said, ‘‘Oh I never knew that.’’ Caleb asked, ‘‘Don’t you read the Bible with your parents?’’ Sharon said, ‘‘I only have a mom, I don’t know where my dad is. I do see my mom read the bible.’’ Caleb said, ‘‘Sorry to hear that.’’ Tears began to flood Sharon’s eyes. Caleb notice that tears began to flood Sharon’s eyes, he quickly change the subject by saying, ‘‘I can’t wait until Avengers fights Thanos.’’ Sharon asked, ‘‘Thanos is the purple alien in Avengers, Guardians Of The Galaxy and Avengers Of Ultron?’’ Caleb said, ‘‘Yes.’’ Sharon asked,
‘‘Was Ultron working for Thanos?’’ Caleb answered, ‘‘No.’’ Sharon asked, ‘‘Then why did he say that?’’ Caleb said, ‘‘My dad says Thanos said that because, Loki and Ronan failed to give him the Tesseract and the Orb. That’s why he said that.’’ Sharon asked, ‘‘The Tesseract is the space stone, right?’’ ‘‘Yes. How do you know a lot about the MCU?’’ Caleb asked. Sharon said, ‘‘My mom likes the MCU.’’ Caleb said, ‘‘Cool, my dad does too. He says he says can’t wait until Infinity War.’’ She said, ‘‘I can’t wait too. Let’s ask if our parents can takes us together.’’ Caleb said, ‘‘Ok, let’s ask.’’ Time went on, Sharon helped Caleb to finish his work. The day passed by, it was time to go home. Caleb and Sharon waited in the pick-up/drop off area, they talked to each other about who was their favorite Marvel superhero of all time. Caleb said,
‘‘My favorite Spider-man.’’ Sharon said, ‘‘Mine is invisible woman.’’ Caleb asked, ‘‘You like Fantastic Four?’’ Sharon said, ‘‘Yeah, not the movies. Are you kidding?’’ Caleb said, ‘‘Twentieth century fox produce horrifying movies. Give them back to Marvel Studios, plus the way they put the name in the new version, ‘‘Fant-4-stic’’ seriously? And how the made Galactus, a cloud? What the special effects team were too dumb to generate him or what?’’ Sharon was just laughing of what Caleb was saying. Sharon said, ‘‘You’re funny Caleb. I like you.’’ One of the teachers screamed, “Caleb!’’ Caleb heard his name, he extended his arm to give her a hand shake, but Sharon hugged him instead. She let him go, and said, ‘‘See you tomorrow, Caleb.’’ She let him go, Caleb went to his car. Sharon saw the dad of Caleb, tears ran down her face. One of her friends saw her and asked, ‘‘What’s wrong, Sharon?’’ Sharon wiped her tears away, ‘‘Nothing, got dust in my eyes.’’ She replied. ‘‘I saw you hugging, Caleb. Someone has a crush.’’ Sharon said,
‘‘Please Erica, we’re just friends.’’ Erica sarcastically replied, ‘‘Hu-uh, sure. And I’m going home to see my boyfriend, Zac Efron.’’ Sharon sarcastically said, ‘‘Tell him hi for me.’’ Erica laughed, and said, ‘‘No, but seriously. My older sister goes to the same school as his brother. She says he’s very handsome. She says that he says he got his looks from his dad. She can’t stop talking about him.’’ A teacher called for, Sharon. Beverly said, ‘‘Time for you to go. Laters, Sharon.’’ Sharon got on car, her mom asked, ‘‘How’s school today?’’ She said, ‘‘It was fine, I talked to Caleb today.’’ Her mom asked, ‘‘What does he say?’’ Sharon said, ‘‘Nothing, he needed help with his work.’’ The mom asked, ‘‘Did you finish?’’ Sharon said, ‘‘Yeah we finished.’’
Chapter 3 They arrived home her mom asked, ‘‘What do you want to eat Sharon?’’ She said, ‘‘Whatever you make, but not now, I’m going do homework.’’ Her mom said, ‘‘Ok, It’s a done deal.’’ Meanwhile at Caleb’s house, Caleb was entering the living room, he heard his dad saying, ‘‘Seriously, they’re giving that movie again?’’ Caleb asked, ‘‘What movie?’’ His dad said, ‘‘Fifty Shades Of Grey. That movie isn’t a romantic movie.’’ Caleb said, ‘‘You and bashing things that you don’t like. Now, I know where I get from. Dad where’s mom?’’ his dad said, ‘‘In our room.’’ Caleb went to his parents’ room.
The dad mumbled to himself, saying, ‘‘It’s more like a ninety minute plus adult movie. I could write a better love story, upload it, and they’ll read it about 66, 67 times, and get two hundred eleven or two hundred twelve impressions. I bet it’ll more popular than that sorry excuse for movie slash book. And it’s a three part movie.’’ Then Caleb enter his parent’s room and asked, ‘‘Mom, what are going to make to eat?’’ His mom asked, ‘‘What are you hungry for?’’ He said, ‘‘FIsh.’’ She said, ‘‘Okay, I’ll make fish.’’ Caleb asked, ‘‘What are you doing?’’ His mom said, ‘‘Just cleaning up.’’ Then Caleb saw something, he asked, ‘‘Who is this?’’ his mom saw what he had, she quickly snatched it away from Caleb. She mumbled, ‘‘Can’t believe your father still has this.’’ She stood up and went out of her room.
Back in Sharon’s house, Sharon and her mom were going to eat. They prayed and started to their food. Seconds later, Sharon asked, ‘‘Hey mom, why doesn’t my dad live with us?’’ Her mom said, ‘‘He….. I…… We………’’ She had no idea what to say. Sharon said, ‘‘Just tell me mommy.’’ Her mom sighed, got up, and walked towards Sharon. She kneeled down saying, ‘‘Honey, in life you’ll get wisdom by one of two ways. By seeking it, or by making mistakes. I had to learn the hard way. Your father doesn’t live with us because, I made a huge mistake. So be wise in your choices in life.’’ Then she went and sat down in her chair. Sharon asked, ‘‘How would I know if I’m making the right choice?’’ The mom said, ‘‘Well, analyze the outcome of your decision. And take it from there.’’ Sharon said, ‘‘Okay mom.’’ Her mom asked, ‘‘Are you enjoying your food?’’
She said, ‘‘Yes, I am mommy.’’ Her mom said, ‘‘Hurry and finish so we can see a movie together. Or you don’t want to?’’ Sharon said, ‘‘How about, ‘‘Tangled?’’ Her mom said, ‘‘Okay, Tangled it is.’’ So they finished their food, went to Sharon’s room and watch the movie. Back in Caleb’s house, all the men were sitting at the table waiting to eat. Caleb’s mom said, ‘‘Come and get your food, boys.’’ All the four boys went to get their food. The mom gave the food to the dad with an attitude. The dad sensed something was bothering her, he just shrugged it off, He asked, ‘‘Boy, how was school?’’ Caleb said, ‘‘It was good, that girl helped me again.’’ His dad said, ‘‘That’s nice of her, what’s her name?’’ Caleb said, ‘‘Her name is Sharon……’’ When the mom cut him off yelling,
‘‘You know I don’t have one picture of the guy I was with before I met your father, kids!’’ The dad asked, ‘‘What’s a matter? What’s going on?’’ She yelled, ‘‘I can’t believe you still have that picture!’’ She stormed out of the kitchen and went to their room. The boys finished eating and they all went to Troy’s room. The boys just heard their parents screaming. Back in Sharon’s house, Sharon got up to go to the restroom. While she walking to the restroom, she saw a light cracking from her mom’s room. She walked to her mom’s room, she opened the door. She asked, ‘‘Mom, what are you doing?’’ She said, ‘‘Oh, just looking at stuff.’’ Putting a book away. She asked, ‘‘What are doing up?’’ She said,
‘‘Just going to the restroom, I came here I saw the light on.’’ She continued saying, ‘‘I’m going to get something to drink afterwards.’’ The mom asked, ‘‘What do you want to drink?’’ Sharon said, ‘‘Juice please.’’ The mom said, ‘‘Ok, you go to the restroom, I’ll get the juice.’’ Sharon said, ‘‘Ok mommy.’’ She went to do her business, while her mom got the juice for her. Sharon got out of the restroom, she saw her mom coming with the juice. She gave the glass to Sharon, drank the juice, and went to bed. Her mom went to clean her room. She said, ‘‘How I regret my decision.’’ Then she went to bed and fell asleep.
The next morning, Caleb woke up to the sound of shouting. He said, ‘‘This again.’’ He got up and went to the restroom, to wash himself. His mom asked,
‘‘Do you regret not marrying her?!!!!’’ The dad said, ‘‘You know the story, you know what happened. If I would still felt something for her, you would’ve seen less of me, I would everything in power to…..’’ Troy came and said, ‘‘Can you stop, please? It’s almost six, and I’m going to be late for practice, please.’’ The dad turned to Troy, and said, ‘‘Ok boy, I’m going.’’ Then he turned to his wife and cupped her face in his hands, and said, ‘‘I love you alot, I won’t do anything to hurt you.’’ Then he grab his phone, ‘‘Here.’’ He put it in her hand. ‘‘I’ll let you see my phone anytime you want.’’ Then she look at his eyes, she hung her arms on his traps, and said, ‘‘That won’t be necessary.’’ She whispered something in his ear. He smiled and said, ‘‘Ok, I’ll keep that in mind.’’
Then he left to leave Troy, Caleb, and their brothers at school.
Chapter 4 Sharon said, ‘‘Ok, mom. I’m ready.’’ Her mom grabbed the keys, they went out the door, got in the car, and drove to school. After ten minutes, they arrived in school. She gave her mom a hug, then she got out of the car. Caleb saw Sharon, Sharon had a big smile on her face. She asked, ‘‘How are you today?’’ He said, ‘‘I’m alright’’ Sharon said, ‘‘I got something for you.’’ Caleb replied, ‘‘Really? What is it?’’ She got a folder out her backpack and gave it to him. He said, ‘‘Cool, a Thor folder, thanks.’’ Caleb said, ‘‘We should ask our parents if they will take us to the park.’’ Sharon said, ‘‘Ok, we should do that.’’ It was time to go to class. They got to class, they sat down, and waited for the bell. The teacher gave first lesson, taught for twenty minutes, and gave out the assignment. They began to do the assignment. Time went by, it was time to go lunch. They went to lunch, they ate, after that, they went to the
playground. Caleb, Sharon and their friends were playing together. Caleb asked, ‘‘Are we going to ask our parents to take us to the park this weekend?’’ Sharon said, ‘‘Yup.’’ Sharon asked, ‘‘Do you own a football?’’ Caleb said, ‘‘Are you kidding, me and brothers love football.’’ Sharon asked, ‘‘You have a brother named, Troy, right?’’ Caleb said, ‘‘Yeah, he’s my older brother.’’ She said, ‘‘Erica says, her sister is always talking about him. Her sister says, he’s so handsome. Caleb said, ‘‘Troy never stops talking about her sister, either.’’ Sharon asked, ‘‘What’s her name?’’ He said, ‘‘Candice. He nicknamed her, ‘‘Candy.’’ I can’t believe he did that.’’ He added, ‘‘So, cheesy.’’ Laughing about it. Caleb said, ‘‘Let’s play redrover.’’ Sharon said, ‘‘Ok, let’s play.’’ So they began to play. After thirty minutes of playing, the bell rang to go to class. They walked to class, and did the assigned work. After two hours, it was time for the last bell. They went to the pick-up area, and waited for their parents. After waiting for ten minutes, Sharon’s mom picked her up, Caleb said, ‘‘Bye, Sharon.’’ She said bye
back. She decided to give him a handshake this time. She walked to her mom’s car, she turned to Caleb, and waved at him. Caleb waved back at her. She says, ‘‘That’s the boy you’re talking about.’’ Sharon says, ‘‘Yeah, I’m always helping him with is work.’’ They drove off, then Sharon asked, ‘‘Hey mom, I was talking to Caleb. We were wondering if you and his parents could take us to the park this weekend?’’ Her mom asked, ‘‘The park? This weekend? Don’t you have a playground at school?’’ She said, ‘‘Yeah, but….’’ Her mom asked, ‘‘Has he asked his parents?’’ Sharon said, ‘‘He was going to ask them today.’’ Her mom said, ‘‘Okay, fine. Just as long his parents are okay with it.’’ Later, Caleb’s mom picked him up. ‘‘Hi, mom.’’ His mom said, hi back. They drove to the house. His mom, asked, ‘‘Enjoyed school?’’ She continued saying, ‘‘Of course you did, Sharon was there.’’ Caleb said, ‘‘Mom, it’s not like that.’’ His mom asked, ‘‘So you don’t like her as a girl?’’ Caleb said, ‘‘Well, she’s not ugly.’’ His mom asked, ‘‘So you like her as a girl?’’
Caleb said, ‘‘Yes… I mean no.’’ She asked, ‘‘Well, which is it?’’ Caleb just stuttered. His mom just laughed and said, ‘‘It’s okay to have a crush on the opposite sex, GOD intended to be like that.’’ After fifteen minutes of driving, they arrived home.
Chapter 5 Caleb entered to his parent’s room, he saw his dad was flipping through the channels, he stumbled upon reruns of Jersey Shore. He said, ‘‘Man, how I seriously hate quote on quote, ‘‘reality shows’’ It’s a lame excuse to get rich easy. That dumb ‘‘Reese’s haired.’’ Retard’s so stupid.’’ He began to mock him in a retarded voice, saying, ‘‘Hey, look me guys. I’m fist pumping.’’ The dad began to act like a spastic retard, Caleb and his brothers began to laugh. He turned to them and said, ‘‘Isn’t that right.’’ His dad changed the channel, he stumbled upon one of the ‘‘X-Men’’ movies. His dad said, ‘‘Funny. I remember that gays said that they felt like the mutants in the movies/comics.’’ He turned to Caleb and his brothers, and said, ‘‘Boys, it’s not that we as Christians don’t like gays. It’s that, it’s wrong for gays to get married. That’s not the plan of GOD for marriage. Besides, why would they want to get married? They’re already together. It’s not like GOD’s going approve their relationship/marriage.’’
One of the brothers of Caleb and Troy asked, ‘‘Dad a boy came to me and said, he liked me as a boy, he is attracted to me. What do I do?’’ His dad said, ‘‘Well boy. First, you should treat him as human. Don’t isolate him just because he’s a homosexual. Second, set boundaries. Tell him what you believe, and tell him that you’re going to stick to your beliefs no matter what. I have gay friends, I love them like I love my heterosexual friends. But, I don’t agree with their lifestyle.’’ He added, ‘‘The only difference between Christians and non-Christians, we humble ourselves and admit we’re sinners. Non-Christians don’t do that. They live however they want.’’ The brother of Troy and Caleb said, ‘‘Wow, dad. I never thought of it like that. Thanks.’’ The dad said, ‘‘You’re welcome, boy. The way people get married in Vegas is also wrong, and people shouldn’t hold up picket sign that say, gays are going to hell. We’re no one to condemn.’’ Caleb and his brothers left to do their homework. Their dad change the channel, he saw they were giving The Kardashians. He said, ‘‘Stupid Kardashians. GO AWAY.’’ He turned the TV off. He said, ‘‘The only reality show that I like that’s not ‘‘The Ultimate Fighter’’ is ‘‘Christley Knows Best’’ Even then, I still find that show boring sometimes.’’
Back to in Sharon’s home, her mom helped her with her homework. Her mom said, ‘‘You should invite to Caleb over for dinner.’’ Sharon said, ‘‘I wanted to, but I’d think you would’ve said no.’’ Her mom asked, ‘‘Why would I say no?’’ ‘‘I don’t know.’’ Sharon responded. Her mom said, ‘‘Well, after I meet his parents you could invite him.’’ Sharon ask, ‘‘Hey mom, why don’t you invited you’re old friend to eat?’’ Her mom said, ‘‘I don’t know where they are. Even if I knew I don’t think they’d come.’’ Sharon asked, ‘‘Why?’’ Her mom said, ‘‘Girl, you’re full of questions.’’ Laughing about it. She asked, ‘‘Do you regret whatever happen between you two?’’ Her mom said, ‘‘Sharon, I got to make something to eat.’’ Her mom went to the kitchen to make food.
Back in Caleb’s home, Caleb and his brothers were rough housing. Their mom came, opened the door and said,
‘‘Yo wannabe Vikings, time to eat.’’ All rushed to the kitchen, giving their war cry. Their dad heard and joined them. He stood up gave his war cry, and pound his chest. Caleb’s mom was just stared at them like if they were crazy. They stopped and look at the mom, She said, ‘‘Sometimes I wonder why GOD put men in charge, it’s clearly that us women are more civilized and smarter than men.’’ She walked to the stove to get the food for Caleb, his brothers, and his dad. They stared at her as she was walking to the counter, then they all look at each other, they shrugged their shoulders, and they kept pounding the chest. The mom came with their food, and said, ‘‘Ok, ya apes. Here’s your food.’’ They hold hands, prayed, and started eating. While Caleb was eating, His dad ask, ‘‘How was school, boy?’’ Caleb said, ‘‘It was good.’’ Gideon, one of his brothers said, ‘‘Yeah, Sharon was there.’’ Caleb said, ‘‘Yeah, at least someone likes me, unlike you. You’re going to grow old without a wife, gagging in your own saliva.’’ His dad and his brothers started laughing. While mom said, ‘‘Caleb!’’ Gideon just stayed quiet.
Troy asked, ‘‘Hey dad, why do you call us, boy?’’ Mocking his deep voice. His dad said, ‘‘I don’t know. I have a feeling in the future, they are going to make a god of war for PS4. Kratos’ going to have a boy named, Atreaus. He is going to call him boy most of the time. That’s why I say boy.’’ Caleb, his brothers, and his wife started to laugh historically. Troy mocked him saying, ‘‘What, it’s going to come out next month?’’ His dad said, ‘‘No, next year.’’ Troy said, ‘‘Ok, sure dad.’’ Caleb spoke to his dad, ‘‘Hey dad I invited Sharon to the park Saturday, can you take me?’’ His dad looked at Caleb’s mom, she said, ‘‘I have to take them to practice.’’ Pointing to Caleb’s brothers. The dad said, ‘‘Ok boy, I’ll take you to the park.’’ Caleb said, ‘‘Yeah, I’ll tell Sharon tomorrow.’’
Chapter 6 The next day, Caleb and Sharon arrived in school. ‘‘Did you ask your parents?’’ Sharon asked. Caleb said, ‘‘Yeah, my dad is going to take me.’’ Sharon said, ‘‘Ok, I’m going to tell mom that your parents said yes. I’m going to ask what time can she take me, then I’ll tell you tomorrow.’’ Caleb and Sharon walked to class. Class started and the teacher began to teach. After eight hours of school, it was time to go home. Caleb and Sharon waited in the pick-up area. Their friends came to hang out with them. ‘ ‘What are you going to do for the weekend?’’ one of their friends ask. Caleb said, ‘‘We are going to the park.’’ She asked, ‘‘Your older brothers still like going to the park?’’ Sharon said, ‘‘He meant me and him.’’
Caleb’s mom came to pick him up. He walked to the car, got on, and drove off. A couple minutes later, Sharon’s mom picked her up.
Caleb and his dad arrived at their home, Caleb said hi to his mom, and went to his room. The day went on, it was time to eat. Caleb walked to the kitchen, sat on a chair, and wait for his mom to give him his food. Caleb said, ‘‘Dad, Sharon’s mom is going to take her to the park.’’ Caleb’s dad asked, ‘‘Ok, what time boy?’’ Caleb said, ‘‘She said that she’s going to ask her mom.’’ His dad said, ‘‘Ok boy, make sure you tell me.’’ Caleb said, ‘‘Ok, dad. I’ll ask tomorrow.’’ He finished his food, and he went to play PS4.
Back at Sharon’s home, Sharon and her mom were playing cards. Sharon said, ‘‘Mom, Caleb’s parents said they could take him to the park. I need to know what time you will able to take me, so I can tell Caleb.’’ Her mom said, ‘‘I say around two or three.’’ Sharon said, ‘‘Ok, mom. I’ll tell him tomorrow.’’ They finished playing cards and went to eat.
Back at Caleb’s home, Caleb’s father finished praying. Then Caleb walked to the room. His father turn on the TV, the first thing he saw, was one of the ‘‘Twilight’’ movies.
He said, ‘‘Stupid Twilght, it’s just stupid. All they do is stare at each other. Like I’ve said, I could a write a better love story.’’ Caleb said, ‘‘Mom says, food is ready.’’ They went to the kitchen, Caleb said, ‘‘Man dad, you bash everything.’’ Laughing about it. Time went by, it was time to go to sleep. Caleb said, ‘‘Goodnight dad.’’
T he days went by, it was time for Sharon’s and Caleb’s playdate. Sharon and her mom went the park. As well Caleb and his dad, Sharon and her mom arrived there. After a while, Caleb and his dad arrived.
Chapter 7 ‘‘o k, boy. Go on and have fun.’’ The kids ran towards the playground. Caleb’s dad sat ten inches apart Sharon’s mom. Sharon’s mom turns to Caleb’s dad, and replies, ‘‘Your son is a lot like you, Brock. I see you in him.’’ She added, ‘‘He’s so handsome as you.’’ Brock said, ‘‘Yeah Natalie, my wife Crystal says the samething.’’ Natalie asked, ‘‘Where did you meet her?’’ Brock said, ‘‘College. She was my professor.’’ Brock continued, asking, ‘‘So, you and him got married?’’ Natalie turned to her daughter for a couple a seconds, then she turned to Brock. She said, ‘‘He’s a father, but he’s not her father. I left him.’’ ‘‘Why?’’ Brock asked.
Natalie said, ‘‘I caught him in bed, having his way with his student.’’ Brock asked, ‘‘So who’s the father?’’ Natalie said, ‘‘Her father is….’’ When she saw a woman put her hand on Brock’s shoulder. Brock turned and said, ‘‘Hi, honey. This is Sharon’s mom.’’ Crystal said, ‘‘Hi, I’m Caleb’s mom.’’ They shook hands, Crystal said, ‘‘Remember, Caleb has karate practice at four.’’ Brock said, ‘‘Ok, I’ll keep that in mind.’’ Crystal said, ‘‘Gotta go to pick up the three other mini-you’s.’’ They both said bye. Crystal walked to the car. Brock asked, ‘‘Do you have a boyfriend? Are you married? Or what’s your deal?’’ Natalie said, ‘‘No Brock, I’m not married, or with someone. I’m just a single mom. That’s all.’’ Natalie said, ‘‘Who would’ve think that after we left each other..’’
Brock stopped her saying, ‘‘Nuh-huh, you left me, remember.’’ Natalie chuckled, saying, ‘‘You wouldn’t have taking me back after you saw me doing what I was doing. I know you to well.’’ Brock said, ‘‘Yeah, that’s true.’’ Natalie said, ‘‘Like I was saying, who would’ve think that our future kids would like each other.’’ She asked, ‘‘Are you still stubborn and brutal, or your ‘‘professor’’ wife changed you?’’ He said, ‘‘Well, my first love left me for our teacher. What do you think?’’ She said, ‘‘I’ll take that yes.’’ Natalie asked, ‘‘How many children do you have?’’ Brock said, ‘‘Four with Caleb.’’ Natalie asked, ‘‘Are they barbaric like you?’’ Brock said, ‘‘They like rough housing, but they’re aren’t like that.’’ Natalie asked, ‘‘Does your wife know that we used to date?’’ As much as Brock wanted tell her that Crystal found an old picture of them,
He said, ‘‘No, she doesn’t know it’s you.’’ Natalie replied, ‘‘Oh, you told her, but she doesn’t know it’s me?’’ Brock said, ‘‘yes I told her.’’ Natalie asked, ‘‘What did she say?’’ Brock said, ‘‘She said, it was stupid for you leaving me. She would’ve never if I was her boyfriend.’’ Brock sat up straight and said with a happy tone of voice, ‘‘Trust me, Natalie. It might sound like if I’m bragging but I’m not.’’ Natalie’s heart was hurting, and wanted to say, ‘‘I’m sorry for hurting you, Brock! Just because a part of me wanted our teacher to have his way with me! I regret of what I did!’’ She said, ‘‘I didn’t know you like blondes.’’ Brock said, ‘‘Well, it’s not necessarily mean I like blondes. I just find some women attractive, whether it be blonde, raven haired, MexicanAmerican, or African-American.’’ Natalie said, ‘‘But, you’re a sucker for green eyed women aren’t ya?’’ He said, ‘‘Yes, I am.’’ Smiling about.
Natalie said, ‘‘I remember when I wanted to wear colored contacts for you. You didn’t want me to.’’ Brock said, ‘‘If GOD…….’’ Natalie said, ‘‘Yes Brock. If HE wanted for me to have colored eyes, HE would’ve made me with colored eyes.’’ Natalie said, ‘‘Looks like you also like your women tall.’’ He said, ‘‘It’s not that I like tall women. If I like them, I’ll share myself with them.’’ Natalie ask, ‘‘How tall is she?’’ He said, ‘‘Five-foot nine.’’ She said, ‘‘Two inches shorter than me. Not bad.’’ She asked, ‘‘Does she tease you like I used to tease you?’’ Brock said, ‘‘Yes, but not as much as you.’’ Then a car passed by playing, ‘‘Party Rock Anthem’’ Brock said, ‘‘I hate that song, and that stupid, ‘‘I’m Sexy And I Know It’’ song. Those guys with the stupid hair and glasses.’’ Natalie said, ‘‘Typical Brock, bashing things.’’ Laughing afterwards. She asked, ‘‘Does she watch ‘‘The Kardashians, or Jersey Shore?’’
Brock said, ‘‘Sometimes, and I hate both shows. But ‘‘The Goldbergs’’ are funny, you should watch it.’’ Brock asked, ‘‘Do you steal, Natalie?’’ Natalie took a deep breath and said, ‘‘When you’re a single mom.’’ She corrected herself, ‘‘Parent. You’ll do anything to support your children. If that means steal? Sobeit.’’ Brock said, ‘‘I understand why you do it now. But when we were kids, there was a reason why I wouldn’t support it.’’ The day went by, it was time for Brock take Caleb to karate practice. He said bye to Natalie, he called for Caleb, Caleb came, and left to karate practice. Natalie said, ‘‘Come on Sharon, let’s go get ice cream.’’ Sharon left the playground, walk to the car. While they were walking, Natalie said in her mind, ‘‘Oh Brock, I never should’ve left you, how I regret leaving you.’’ They got in the car and drove off.
