Connecting Point Presbyterian Church STUDIO Architecture KFC Engineering Cedar Creek Engineering Titus Construction
Connecting Point Presbyterian Church came to STUDIO Architecture on a whim looking for a design for their new home. The church had sold their building to relocate in an area of Oklahoma City that was being newly developed. They came to us already owning the property, which was an advantage for them financially due to the increasing popularity of the area. In working with the pastor, church building committee, and Presbytery, we were able to create a contemporary scheme for their new development. It took many meetings and educational presentations on contemporary design to finally land a scheme and concept that all key players agreed with. We designed a sanctuary that is intended to open up it’s back corner to the glass enclosed kitchenette and lobby for social, after church functions. The glass faces the adjacent street to allow views of the activity, and to glow at night as a connecting point for the new surrounding development.
