Hotel ratings There are a confusing variety of organisations who grade hotels in the UK under a set of quality standards. Unfortunately, many hotels do not join the rating schemes, making it difficult to judge what the standard of the hotel may be. At Just Go! we are all about transparency and honesty in what we offer on our holidays. We therefore grade the hotels featured in our brochures based on our own experience, knowledge of the hotel and, more importantly, feedback from Just Go! customers. Please see page 51 for a guide of our hotel ratings system. The relevant rating is shown next to each hotel’s description in the brochure.
Hotel accessibility information If anyone in your party has mobility issues, please inform us at the time of booking. It is a minimum requirement that you are able to climb the steps onto a coach unaided. Please read the tour itinerary carefully to make sure it is appropriate for your mobility level. We also hold accessibility information for each hotel featured on our holidays, and are able to advise if lifts and/or ground floor rooms are available. If you have any queries on hotel facilities in relation to mobility, please contact us immediately.

This section of the West Highland Line crosses the 100ft-high Glenfinnan Viaduct used in the Harry Potter film sequences featuring the Hogwarts Express. You don’t need to be a Harry Potter fan to appreciate this journey though, as the scenery in reality beats any cinematography hands down. We disembark in the bustling port of Mallaig. Please note: West Coast Railways reserves the right to substitute The Jacobite with an alternative engine or dieselpowered locomotive in the event of breakdown, or if urgent repairs are needed, without notice or refund.
During the Second World War, Fort William was the home of HMS St Christopher which was a training base for Royal Navy Coastal Forces.

Discover the awe-inspiring beauty of Scotland on our brand new tour, where we experience the spellbinding splendour of its mysterious lochs. We enjoy a captivating cruise on stunning Loch Katrine and a leisurely boat trip on Loch Lomond, situated in the idyllic Trossachs National Park. We combine this lovely scenery with a man-made engineering masterpiece, the Kelpies. Standing at 100ft tall, these equine structures have become an iconic part of the landscape.
We head to Loch Katrine, a 13km-long freshwater loch and the gateway to the magnificent Trossachs National Park. Here we enjoy a leisurely cruise on either the famous Sir Walter Scott steamship, which has ferried passengers up and down the loch since its launch in 1899, or the more intimate cruiser, the Lady of the Lake. These vessels honour the legacy of Sir Walter Scott, the Scottish poet who immortalised the lake’s beauty in his poem The Lady of the Lake, and offer a unique way to experience this stunning loch and the picturesque surrounding scenery. We then embark on a scenic drive, passing the tranquil Loch Ard and the quaint village of Aberfoyle before arriving in Callander. The wildly beautiful coast of Scotland is scattered with hundreds of islands and inlets shaped by the ever-pounding sea and everchanging weather. Sublimely secluded and totally unique, our tour to the untouched Outer Hebrides is a never to be forgotten experience, as we take in some of the most spectacular scenery Scotland has to offer. Rich heritage and unique wildlife combine with the rugged coastline, stunning mountainous scenery, and unspoilt islands to create an enchanting place like no other.
Day 3 – Island hopping
We fly to Glasgow airport and take a short walk to the Holiday Inn Glasgow Airport where we stay overnight on a bed and breakfast basis.
Today’s island hopping begins by taking the causeway across to South Uist, where the west coast is a continuous sandy beach in contrast to the east which is dominated by mountainous peaks. We then continue on to Eriskay, famous for the Eriskay Ponies and also for being the real ‘Whisky Galore’ island. It was just off Eriskay, between Great Todday and Little Todday that the SS Politician ran aground in 1941 with 50,000 cases of whisky aboard. The locals managed to save several hundred cases before the ship sank, providing them with a good supply of their ‘Water of Life’. From here, enjoy the short ferry crossing to the Isle of Barra which is considered by many to be the most beautiful little island in Britain. Its tranquil beaches, distinctive culture, where Gaelic is widely spoken, and an ancient history make any visit to Barra a memorable one. If time allows we will also venture across the causeway to stunning Vatersay, the most southerly inhabited island in the Outer Hebrides.
Day 2 – Isle of Skye & Isle of Benbecula
Day 4 – Stornoway
Leaving the hotel, we travel north to the pretty port of Mallaig and get a first glimpse of what Skye has to offer as we board a ferry for the short trip across to Armadale on the Sleat Peninsula. We make our way across the Isle of Skye, enjoying the stunning scenery and rugged landscapes to Uig where we catch the ferry to Lochmaddy enjoying a two-course meal on board. We continue on to our hotel on the Isle of Benbecula, our base for the next two nights.
After a leisurely morning in Benbecula we collect a packed lunch and continue onward to North Uist, via the Benbecula causeway. North Uist is a relatively flat island covered with peat bogs, low hills and lochans. More than half the land is covered by water, making North Uist a birdwatchers’ paradise. We board the afternoon ferry for the one-hour crossing to Harris before travelling up the west coast past numerous unspoilt, white sandy beaches and some of the most breathtakingly beautiful scenery in the Western Isles. The final leg of today’s journey is to Lewis and the hotel in Stornoway.

The Channel Islands were the only part of the British Isles to be occupied by German forces during the Second World War. As Hitler ordered Jersey to be transformed into an impregnable fortress, hundreds of bunkers, anti-tank walls and tunnel complexes were built, traffic had to drive on the other side of the road and the island was moved to Central European time. When news broke out that the German army had surrendered, expectant crowds began to gather at various locations. Winston Churchill soon crackled onto the airwaves, uttering the words ‘our dear Channel Islands are also to be freed today.’ Jubilant crowds greeted the liberating forces, German flags were lowered and the Union Jack was hoisted at Pomme d’Or for the first time in five years. The glorious day is commemorated every year in Jersey with a Bank Holiday, and on this break we join in with the 75th Anniversary celebrations. We also explore the traces of the German occupation scattered across the island, and discover fascinating insights into the lives of Jersey’s residents during 1940-45.

With its unique Anglo-French cultural blend, the enchanting island of Jersey offers a taste of the Continent but closer to home. Historically attractive to invading armies because of its strategic position between England and France, Jersey has been fought over throughout history. During our break we enjoy a wonderful tour of the island’s highlights and visit the peaceful La Mare Wine Estate, a hidden gem in the north of the island. Terms & Conditions Holidays by Coach
Coach package holidays and short breaks are subject to Just Go! Holidays terms and conditions which are based on and financially protected by the Bonded Coach Holidays Group (BCH) Trading Charter. Please visit our website for more details. Holidays offered subject to availability. Errors and omissions excepted.
Ireland Holidays by Coach
You will transfer to your main coach at Chester Services on the M56. Our friendly staff will be on hand to help make a smooth and swift change over and to offer any assistance. By operating this interchange we are able to offer a wider range of destinations, dates and pickup points. In some cases, on arrival in Dublin, we make a brief stop at Dublin airport to collect flight passengers booked on the same tour.
Holidays by Air Air package holiday prices are correct at the time of publication but are subject to fluctuation and availability. The final price will depend on your chosen airport, airline and flight time. Financial protection is in place via the ATOL scheme and terms & conditions apply. Please visit our website for more details. Errors and omissions excepted. Operated by Just Go! Holidays, ATOL No.10889. One piece of checked-in hold luggage PER PERSON is included however; the weight allowance does vary between airlines. Please ask for details. Hotel transfers may be in shared vehicles. You may also have to await passengers arriving on other flights; for your convenience we will do our utmost to keep the waiting time to a minimum.
Ireland Holidays by Air You will be met at Dublin airport upon arrival in the late afternoon to join the tour coaches as they arrive from the ferry*. On the return day, you will be transferred from the overnight hotel in the Dublin area back to the airport. *Excludes Grand Tour of Ireland where transfers on arrival are direct to the Belfast hotel. Prices are per person, based on two people sharing a double/twin room. Calls to 033 numbers are free within inclusive minutes packages otherwise standard rates apply.

Frequently asked questions Why do I have to pay a single supplement?
It is standard practice in the hotel trade to charge for single occupancy of a room as the cost of providing heating, lighting and cleaning etc, is the same regardless of the number of people occupying it.
Will my pickup point change?
All available pickup points are shown for each tour. Please note however, that pickup points are dependent on Just Go! Holidays receiving minimum bookings from those locations. On occasions it may be necessary to move your requested pickup point after booking to ensure that your holiday can still operate. You will be notified of any change to your pickup with your final confirmation.
At Just Go! Holidays we are committed to ensuring you are taken care of every step of the way, from the day you book, through to the last day of your holiday. Occasionally passengers fall ill or have an accident whilst on holiday preventing them from travelling home with the coach or on the return flight or requiring medical care when on tour in the UK, Channel Islands or Ireland. This may impact you financially.
We will inform you of the exact pickup time from your town approximately one to two weeks before departure. As a general rule on UK holidays we depart early morning and arrive home late afternoon/early evening although some exceptions may apply.
When do I need to pay the balance of my holiday?
The balance due dates (the period before the departure date on which your full balance normally becomes due) are: 6 weeks before departure for all UK mainland, Ireland and Isle of Man holidays by coach. For UK, including Ireland, Isle of Man and Channel Islands holidays by air, the balance is due with us no later than 8 weeks prior to travel. For bookings made after the balance due date; full payment is due at the time of booking. You can also make interim payments anytime between paying the deposit and the balance due date.
Can I take my car?
Yes, on certain UK mainland tours. We will give you a discount of £25 per person and a seat will still be reserved for you on the coach for the excursions.
Who is responsible for my luggage during my journey?
It is your responsibility to ensure your suitcase is on board the coach. Please make sure you see the driver place your luggage into the coach and, on the way home, carefully check you collect the correct luggage from the driver at your drop off point. We cannot accept responsibility for damaged or misplaced luggage or any personal items and, whilst we will assist you with the recovery of any lost suitcase, this will be upon receipt of the courier costs.
Railway excursions
Please note that journeys on certain railways may not always be steam hauled, even when pictured in this brochure as being so. Diesel locomotive trains are sometimes in use on certain journeys over which, regrettably, we have no control.
What do I do if I have a special request?
How much luggage can I take with me?
For holidays by coach, your luggage must be restricted to one medium-sized suitcase weighing no more than 18 kilograms (40 pounds); we cannot carry any additional luggage items. Also, we cannot accept responsibility at any time for your own personal hand luggage. For any holidays by air, the luggage allowance will vary between airlines and will be advised at the time of booking.
You must advise us if anyone in your party has mobility issues – the minimum requirements are that you are able to climb the steps onto a coach unaided. Please read the tour itinerary carefully to make sure it is appropriate for your mobility level. Due to space limitations we can only accommodate a maximum of two walking aids on to each coach, either wheelchairs or walking frames so long as they are collapsible, therefore you must pre-book a space when you book your holiday and confirmation of this will be on our correspondence to you. Unfortunately we have to reserve the right not to carry any walking aids that are not pre-booked. We regret we cannot accept mobility scooters or motorised wheelchairs.
What do I do if I have special dietary needs?
Passengers are requested to inform us of any food allergies/requests at the time of booking and we will attempt to accommodate them, however special arrangements cannot be guaranteed. Passengers
50
Customers with severe food allergies or dietary requirements are advised to make appropriate arrangements with the hotel prior to commencing their tour and speak to the hotel staff on arrival.
Why do I need insurance?
What time will my pickup be?
I have mobility issues – can I bring a walking aid?
who are coeliac or follow a gluten-free diet are advised to contact the hotel before arrival to check if the diet is catered for. Some customers take their own bread for breakfasts.
If you have any special requests, we will do our best to help but we cannot guarantee that they will be fulfilled, they are just a request. If your request is imperative to the enjoyment of your holiday, please inform one of the members of our reservations staff at the time of booking however, we cannot accept a booking on the basis of a request being guaranteed. General confirmation that a special request has been noted or passed on to our supplier is not confirmation that your request will be met. All special requests are subject to availability unless and until they are specifically confirmed by us in writing.
Will there be a toilet on the coach?
Yes, all the holidays featured in our main 2020 brochure will be operated by a modern executive standard coach including a wc onboard. Regular comfort breaks will also be taken.
Are the excursions guaranteed to run on the day specified in this brochure? Our brochures and itineraries are put together sometimes over a year in advance therefore, unfortunately, things may change before the tour takes place and some excursions may be swapped from one day to another.
Do I need a passport?
All our Ireland, Channel Islands and Cruise holidays are sold on the basis that you are a British Passport holder. It is your responsibility to ensure your passport is valid for at least six months from the date of the tour return. On holidays by air within the UK you will also need a form of photo identification. You need to advise us if you are not travelling on a British passport for port security checks. In addition, any visa requirements are your responsibility.
What do I do if I’m not completely happy?
It is imperative that if you are unhappy about any aspect of your holiday, you raise the matter IMMEDIATELY with the coach driver, tour manager or accommodation provider. If you fail to do this and deny us the opportunity to rectify the matter at the time, we shall not accept any responsibility retrospectively. If the matter cannot be resolved immediately, it is a condition that you write to us, quoting your booking reference, with the details of your complaint so that we may commence an investigation.
Important Notice
All prices are correct at the time of this brochure going to print (December 2019). We reserve the right to change our prices from time to time. This could mean that when you book your chosen holiday, the actual price quoted in the brochure may have gone up or down. The correct price will always be confirmed to you at the time of booking. Some of the details within this brochure may have changed since going to print. When you book your holiday we will inform you of any change to any of the relevant details which have occurred prior to you making your booking. All coach package holidays advertised in this brochure are subject to our terms and conditions which are based on the Bonded Coach Holidays Group Trading Charter, a copy of these terms and conditions will be sent with your booking confirmation. All holidays by air advertised in this brochure are operated by Just Go! Holidays under ATOL No.10889 and are subject to our terms and conditions, a copy of which will be sent with your booking confirmation. Copies of both terms and conditions are also available at our registered office and online at www.justgoholidays.com. All tours offered subject to availability. Errors and omissions excepted. All prices shown are per person and based on two people sharing a double/twin room. Single supplements apply. Calls to 033 numbers are free within inclusive minutes packages otherwise standard rates apply.
Will it always be the tour coach that collects me from my chosen pickup point?
Not always, sometimes we utilise smaller transfer vehicles to operate some pickups; these vehicles will transfer you to join the main tour coach. We do this in order to offer a wide range of pickup points and to keep overall journey times for the tour coach to a minimum. Please note: if you have booked front seats or any other guaranteed seats through our seat reservation service, these only apply once you join the main tour coach.

Hotel ratings There are a confusing variety of organisations who grade hotels in the UK under a set of quality standards. These include UK tourist authorities, the AA and Visit Britain as well as hotels applying their own self-assessment rating. Unfortunately, many hotels do not join the rating schemes, making it difficult to judge what the standard of the hotel may be. At Just Go! we are all about transparency and honesty in what we offer on our holidays. We therefore grade the hotels featured in our brochures based on our own experience, knowledge of the hotel and, more importantly, feedback from Just Go! customers. Opposite is a brief overview of the Just Go! hotel ratings system, giving you an idea of what to expect at each hotel. The relevant rating is shown next to each hotel’s description in the brochure.

JG V
JG value rated hotels offer basic adequate, clean and practical facilities and services. All bedrooms have en-suite facilities, TV and tea/coffee making facilities. Food may be buffet style in some of the larger hotels. JG 2
Hotels with a JG2 rating are a mixture of larger hotels and privately owned properties. Décor and furnishings may be simple but are well maintained. All bedrooms have en-suite facilities, TV and tea/coffee making facilities. Food may be buffet style in some of the larger hotels. Services may be limited but efficient. JG 2
JG2+ rated hotels offer a higher standard of hospitality, often by the friendly owner or manager and often with good home cooking plus enhanced décor, facilities and services. Food may be buffet style in some of the larger hotels. These hotels have proven to deliver a higher level of satisfaction according to our customer feedback surveys. +
JG 3
Hotels with a JG3 rating tend to be a more formal style of hotel, often part of a hotel chain, with a greater range of facilities and services. Bedrooms are a little more spacious and have additional features. Public areas are larger and include lounge seating, a bar and restaurant with good quality food served either buffet style or with waiter service. JG 4
Accommodation in our JG4 category is of a very high standard, offering a wide range of facilities and services. Bedrooms feature a very good quality of furniture, facilities and soft furnishings. Uniformed staff provide a service that reflects attention to detail and quality. Serious attention is paid to food and drink. Please note: these ratings only apply to our UK holidays. In Ireland and the Channel Islands, we quote the hotel star rating based on the area’s rating system.
