To See the Whole Video, Go To - Filming Your Hunts Below is a transcription of this video – I’m doing some research here because currently what I’m doing is I’m recording 3,000 videos and I’m doing it on my iPhone, which is great. I really enjoy it. Camera arms, that’s what we’re talking about here. This is interesting, but looking for [inaudible] I do a lot of my videos while I’m walking down the street. What I want to actually capture is strategy where I can actually film myself. I found this thing, Filming Your Hunts, How to Film Your Own Deer Hunts. These are the people who are actually deer hunting who actually film themselves. They’re talking about the equipment that you need to actually make it happen. The funny thing is the phone works well.
The problem with the iPhone is the videos are so huge and it just takes forever to get these things uploaded. I tried to do a conversion exercise a few minutes ago and that didn’t work well because you needed the files to get smaller, too much smaller or the ones that were a touch smaller, the quality wasn’t good. I film in the iPhone. I film on the iPhone.mov and this video that I’m doing right here is a .mov, as well. This is going to be about 30 megs for this. I’m looking at this option actually, which is interesting, the camera arms for filming hunts. Kind of a little bit weird. That’s not a joke that I think will film like the pros. Oh, that’s a camera arm you put into a tree. I want to like hook one up to me, not to something else. Kind of crazy, right? Maybe like a helmet cam might be the way to go. That might be the way to do it, helmet cam turned in the direction of actually looking at me. There’s something about the holding the phone up. I’m just looking for something that’s kind of equivalent of the phone. Like the flip cams are, but they only have one camera on one side. What’s important about this message is actually not about the camera, but actually working through for solutions, to find the right solution to actually get to the place you want to get to. I’m thinking my best solution at this point in time, which I’d hate to actually part with the iPhone, is to get the Samsung Galaxy S3 because the research I’ve done
so far is saying that the videos on that, although the front video is not as good, that the video on that would actually be better for what I’m actually trying to accomplish as far as the size goes, not better quality, better size. We’ll see what the options are. I actually probably could film with a back camera and see what was going on, be able to cover it, and not necessarily have to look at, but I actually like looking at myself as I’m filming. So lots of options, just wanted to share this. This is actually interesting for anybody. Check out this Filming Your Hunts. Probably not the right solution that I’m looking for, but all in the research of gathering ways to record and record better. Thanks a lot for listening.
