FAQ

Q: Is homemade soy milk more nutritious?

Fresh homemade soy milk does contain quality protein, but only with trace of isoflavones. Soy isoflavones are heat sensitive and are normally lost during preparation and boiling. Isoflavones in Why Not?™ Soyplus are wholesome isoflavones from non-GMO soy germ, essential for hormone regulation.

Q: What is ISP? What's wrong with ISP?

Isolated Soy Protein (ISP) is commonly used for dairy-free beverages, infant formulas and slimming products. It is produced by extracting the protein from defatted soy flakes. ISP is the most highly refined soy protein. This refined protein often releases free glutamic acid (a flavour-enhancing compound) during processing. Unlike natural glutamic acid bound as part of whole protein, free glutamic acid is harmful and found to increase MSG sensitivity reactions such as hyperactivity, behavioral problems in children, migraine, attention deficit conditions and asthma.

People with gout or joint pain should eliminate food high in purine such as meat, animal organs, seafood, eggs or dairy products. Why Not?™ Soyplus is an ideal alternative to these food.
