it's time to write and share your story
That title tells you what you need to do. However, once you're finished writing your story you will need a place to share it. "Why would I want to share it?" you might be saying. Well there are many reasons to share it. 1. To let others know about the talent you have... your written words. 2. What you say could be just the right thing someone else needs to hear right now. 3. It maybe or should be a bucket list item to check off your list. Who can help you get started? Just start reading the next paragraph.

Emerald Coast Storytellers (Ali + Kristy's website tells us) was born from the idea of bringing big-city culture to our small 30A beach community. They offer opportunities to be part of monthly events and creative meetups with like-minded people revolving around the written and spoken word.
They have "After-Hours Writing Nights" where you can go to get a writing prompt to help get you started. New and seasoned writers working in a comfortable quiet space. Sharing ideas, suggestions, nouns, verbs, and more words you can think of without a thesaurus,
And once you have gotten comfortable writing one or more stories, poems, or innermost secrets you'll be ready to share them. All you do then is head to their website check when the next "Open Mic Night" is being held and make a reservation as a storyteller. Head out to the event with your notebook, pieces of paper, assorted napkins, or whatever works for you to remember your words when it's your turn to speak. You may be nervous when you get up to share (I was when I did) but you will be glad you did.
The group of writers is supportive of others and once you start you will want to do it again and again. Check out some of the folks reading and listening on the next page. Plus the contact information is available there too.
Looking forward to meeting you, seeing your face, and hearing your new stories soon at Emerald Coast Storytellers.
Tell your story. Tell lots of stories. Consider this your stage.
