The video-installation aspires to challenge the perception of familiar spaces. By playing with the fundamentals of video and projection such as perspective, scale, materials, pacing and framing, we dematerialize space and as a result the aspects of everyday life become abstract and conceptual. By using blurred images, kaleidoscopic effects, extreme zoom-ins, image rotations and reflections, we evoke the feeling of dreaming or drifting in memory. Ritualistic actions and sounds as well as lyricism are employed to produce a spiritual environment. In addition we use time-lapse, asynchronous projections of the same action, velocity and time loops, to bend time. The several elements of the installation further create the sense of boxes within boxes, realities within realities and try to create bridges between them. The convention of space-time is thus deconstructed and remains fluid, open for the visitor to give meaning to.
UNTITLED video installation AA School of Architecture London, 5-6/11/2015 AAIS graduate programme spatial installation / projections
Through the phenomenological experience produced by the video installation, the simultaneous presence of three different worlds/ realities is enhanced: the material world of the installation, the world as captured in video and the virtual world that resides in our consciousness. Consequently the video installation is a fleeting experience, a celebration of the moment and an open-ended event. This is further enhanced by the strong presence of humans serving and performing the spatial elements and the equipment plays a key role in creating a sense of congenial looseness.
Through the peaks and ambient tones, the sound installation takes the audience for the spiRITUAL journey. The sequences of the various soundscapes build up respectively a sense of the presence, then growing tension, and finally catharsis. All the elements of the spatial configuration, such as projections, scattered chairs, blind folds, glasses, metal pieces and paper tapes, consist into one, analog, spatial instrument. The composition is enhanced with the analog part; during which the developed sound score played in digital 7.1 surround system quality is juxtaposed with a pre-recorded sounds of tape and real-time tearing of the floor lines.
YI-JONG GONG-GAN sound experience AA School of Architecture London, 26/11/2015 area AAIS graduate programme spatial installation / projections / objects / speakers
The element of the blind folds amplifies the perception of the narration. While all audience members have the eyes covered, all senses are sharpened. Participators can instinctively feel the presence and movement of the performers, while the sense of hearing seems to be deceptive. At the end, the spectators ‘awake’ in empty room having a sense of teleportation or temporary disorientation after the undergone journey.
Malopolska Garden of Arts’ entrance hall / atrium is a transitional space, channeling and filtering the outside and the inside worlds; literally a threshold. The creative team from the Architectural Association Interprofessional Studio (AAIS) incorporates a synthesis of several mediums to render and constitute the atrium’s spatial configuration. During the course of the event the performers activate and animate the space, weaving in four-dimensions, structure, choreography, live soundscape and projection. By introducing a concept of Yi-jong gong-gan, AAIS interprets this year’s Biennale theme, Energy - Self/ie - Space.

XYZ/s is a site-specific project engaging different levels and spaces at the Watermans Art Centre in London. Questioning our perception of reality, the performance examines the relationships between virtual and physical worlds. Through the use of multiple mediums, interactive and participatory elements as well as analogue and digital media, we reverse the roles, shift the spaces, and play with the time (life-feed vs. pre-recorded picture) and audience expectations through the guided narration. XYZ/s attempts to virtualise the real and realise the virtual, forming an intersecting space between reality and unreality. Inspired by the simulation argument we assumed 3 types of actions: permanent (exhibition) repeatable/circular (repetitive performance/ installation) and one time only – finale (interactive performance). Along with the open studio, dance rehearsals, exhibition and student panel talk, all actions consist into XYZ/s interdisciplinary event at Watermans Art Centre.

XYZ/S EXTENDED mulitimedia performance UK Young Artists Deda Theatre, Derby 05/11/2016 AAIS graduate programme design / performance 2016
XYZ/s extended is a multimedia, interactive performance/installation which challenges the relationships among performers, visitors, objects, space and our senses. It draws inspiration from some of the most prominent theories of physics and philosophy, creating an interplay of the four dimensions. The visitors are encouraged to explore three different spaces and find themselves in various roles and situations. Each space has its own immersive environment for people to experience and interact with.

EXHIBITION DESIGN AA Project Review 2016 AAIS exhibition AAIS graduate programme concept / executive project 2016
The multifunctional system performing as a static structure, performance element, costume design & choreography component, video, video mapping and sound material, and finally as an exhibition system. Elaborated design successfully convinces a symbolic meaning originating from the assumed philosophy and the primal determinants of the space, which are point and line.
The structure efficiently combines the low costs of CNC production, lightness and adaptability to many functions, capability of international transportation, as well as in the possibility of combining with other materials such as cardboard tubes, elastic ribbons and cork bards, which testifies on its universality.
SENTAGLIO senza + tagliare / without cutting OLED lamp series light design course (Erasmus) conceptual project / paper models 2013
Project of lamp series using an innovative technology - Organic LED (OLED). Idea of form originates from the paper models. Piece of paper without cutting has been folded. This simple manner allows to obtain a pure and ultrathin form. Additionally, OLED provides a diversity of the colour, intensity and attenuation.

TEMPORARY MODULAR PAVILION area 58m2 (total 67m2) or varied interior design course (Erasmus) conceptual project / paper model 2013
The project of a temporary pavilion assumes the possibility of adaptation into cafe, exhibition space, urban meeting spot, fashion shows and events area. The main idea of the modular system originated from a cardboard model. Developed grid defined a triangular shape of the modules and revealed a multiplicity of the potential combinations, which affected on the general flexibility and temporary character of the structure.
The construction is made of a steel and aluminium profiles, covered by the various materials such as fibre reinforced plastic, PCV, ETFE and glass. Due to its complexity, the pavilion can be modified depending on thr individual need. Reflective materials of the external surface can be illuminated with varying colours, designed correspondingly due to a specific event.
The pavilion is distinguished by its dynamic composition. A dichotomy of the vertical and horizontal directions, in opposite to the diagonal ones, make this massive structure alive and vivid such as the various activities occuring inside.

ARCH. STUDIO & LIVING SPACE area 2 700m2
interior design course conceptual project 2014
The concept of the Architectural Studio office with a demarcated private zone, so called a living space, in the adopted warehouse building in Krakow.
The mutual relations between all users of the spaces force to a constant re-definition of the existing functions. The unspoken boundaries somehow filter and designate individual’s zone of activity and relax, the asylums. The impressive atrium with the vertical gardens stands as a common zone, a buffer space. Holding transitional function is easily adaptable and convertible due to the various events. The vertical green walls and plants’ installations scatter the light creating an un ique atmosphere and character of the interior.
s
The regular structure of reinforced concrete has been interspersed with a spatial ribbon (holding different functions and made of the various materials), which divides a space into 3 zones: Public – for investors, contractors, visitors & guests. It is a 3-storey open space for renting, orginizing evants or functioning as an expositional space. Office - with the workshop space, mini showroom, social facilities for employers & conference room. Private zone - residential space for the owners.
BA DIPLOMA PROJECT: NEW ART PLATFORM - AUDIOVISUAL & PERFORAMANCE ART CENTRE conceptual project / model 1:100 interior design course 2015 The Diploma Project assumes adaptation of the former Industrial Ovens Building at the „SABINOW Mining & Metallurgy Complex into NEW ART PLATFORM - Audiovisual and Performance Art Centre. The place working as a park of creative initiatives, art & exhibition centre, can hold various ativities suh as workshops and residential programme for the artists. While maintaining a Genius Loci, the interactive/digital character of a place reveals itself at night. Adjacent buildings, former Office and Reloading Building, has been adapted into the Hotel and the Gallery of Contemporary Arts / Music-Cafe. urban land development masterplan and the transportation infrastructure
The building of the former Reloading platform has been adopted into the Gallery of Contemporary Art / Music-Cafe.
The former building of the Office has been adopted into a Hotel. Connected buildings create an unique post-industrial landscape.
The whole park has been connected with the newly designed paths and temporary located platforms, shelters/cubes and seats.
annex I to diploma project: videomapping visual presentation techniques course 2015 Video projections (videomapping), except artistic and content-wise values, may distort the image of the façade of the building, interfere with it, optically collapse or erase it. Some parts of the projections are interactive. Tablets’ and smartphones’ users can play, create and contribute into live animations by painting (light painting) on the elevation. Animations and illuminations of the building are programmed according to the particular event. It might have a form of a live streaming (live-feed) projections from inside/outside part of the building or any other location (concerts halls or others cultural institutions).
