Week 2 Our group accidently made the mistake of cutting the balsa wood in a difficult dimension so we had to cut them thinner into matchstick sized pieces and taped them to form longer pieces.
5 triangular platforms were made, each triangle side longer then the previous forming a tapered structure. ( Pyramid).
Because of our structures initial instability we provided a form of truss to make the base more rigid.
Experimentation with certain methods to provide additional joint support. Because trusses require accurate measurements and we were ill prepared with our cuttings, we used this method to provide stability which requires no measurements. Tried using piece of paper as a form of support but was not successful as paper was not stiff enough.
