As an example: for PTP Transmission, 2 units of wireless APs work as a fibre cable or network cable to the device, which has a network port and so can be used for wireless transmission.

Point-to-Mulpoint Transmission (PTMP)

The Point-to-Mulpoint topology (also called star topology or simply P2MP) is a common network architecture for outdoor wireless networks to connect mulple locaons to one single central locaon.

In a Point-to-Mulpoint wireless Ethernet Network, all remote locaons do not communicate directly with each other but have a single connecon towards the center of the star network where one or more base staon is typically located.

The above installaon image illustrates that it is important to mount your wireless transmier and receiver on poles to raise them above any obstrucons. Besides, it's equally important to make sure that there is a direct line of sight between them.

When posioning your wireless transmier and/or receiver units on roof-tops, provide a clear line of sight and avoid the possibility of signal mul-pathing by raising them on poles or locang them on the edge of the roofs.

The ground plane can cause mul-path issues and can significantly affect the range of your wireless transmission.
