Creative Works: Under New Management
Welcome to WNxMayori, who jumped from BG Architect to her true love, Creative Works!
It had been known for quite some time that the Creative Works was due for a new leader. Zero-Hero had been finishing up his last bit of work, an announced his leave. Gossip and speculation soon ran wild as everyone guessed who the new leader would be.
Talk ranged from former Creative Colonels, to current Colonels. The answer was anyone’s guess. The time came and went for an announcement to be made, and none could be found. Eventually, the eager beavers of the Creative Works were able to work an announcement out of WNxAlmuric and finally the new Brigadier General was named… WNxMayori was named the new BG! She had a history at the Creative works, ranging from Combat Journalist, Elite Combat Journalist, Head Combat Journalist, and Creative Colonel. She always found herself coming back to the Creative Works, a department she had fallen in love with. When the news broke to the Pentagon that a
new BG was needed, Mayori knew that it was time for her to return home. She offered to take the reigns of the Creative Works and was finally promoted from her spot as BG Architect to BG Creative Works. Since her move the effect can already be felt. She is always extremely active, promoting discussion and good will throughout the department, working her people hard but urging them to have fun! She is always willing to talk, often into the crazy hours of the morning when no other soul is online. She is truly fit for the job and up to the task of running the Creative Works and making it better than it has been in quite some time!
The Editorial Message—Letter from the Editors Another month has come and gone, and we’ve seen repeats of similar problems from last month. There was another wave of slacking, both from us, and from our Combat Journalists. We’ve had some on our staff step down, and other who are set to be fired. The long wait is often painful, and it leaves us scrambling to finish the editing, but we do it for you. We hope this new format will peak your interest, and hopefully spark the interest of our staff. We work hard to bring news and updates to you, the Nation. While we are made of many games
and many sections, do not forget that we are one clan with a single mission statement and similar aims. This is a united report to show just that. On a brighter side, we couldn’t be happier with the few dedicated staff members we have! They make our lives easier and are truly loyal to the job. They submit good work (though some always needs tweaking) , and hopefully they realize how much we appreciate that. This also means we are looking for new people, almost constantly. Please
feel free to apply, or submit names to us of anyone you know who’d be interested! It is a once a month job, and requires only a very small time commitment. Any and all help is appreciated. With that, we hope you thoroughly enjoy this issue of the Nation, one of many exciting new issues to come. Take your time, enjoy the ride, and take pride in your clan!!

Happenings on the Section and Game — In February
there were many double exp events held in-game, which for any game is something cool. I mean who doesn’t like to get some experience farming? I guess we all like to increase our level and if possible heighten our skill. There weren’t new recruits for this section (or at least I haven’t seen the post for the missing thread problem). Instead they lost three members and one of their Game Champions. Hopefully in March they will get more recruits and finally get out of development, no one wants more sections to be archived so let’s wish them
good luck. Rollcall numbers included:

Alien Vs Predator (PC) New Game — This is a new game in the Development section, and for a new game it's doing good. AvP is a new game, actually it’s the third game of Alien Vs Predator saga. If you liked the Alien and Predator movies then this could be the game for you. I watched some videos on youtube and it looks amazing, graphics are so cool that I
wish I could play it myself.

Happenings — The only activities that I could see after the thread fiasco were a good number of game nights and some tournaments to come. I can’t really comment on the forum activity as the threads have been lost.

Allods Online Out of Beta — The section has been building itself up since January, however this was during the Closed Beta stages. However Open Beta was released on the 16th of February and the Guild was quickly set up. This has led to increased interest as people naturally want to test out the game. Naturally as with all new sections the members set about established themselves. With a Slogan Change, Banner Selection and the currently has stable Game Champions in WNxPyrasia, WNx Omega and WnxTimewise.
Important Information—For anyone interested in joining the section you should read the Info Thread and it is also important that you sign rollcall for March. Another important thing is one that affected the whole of the Nation with threads recently being moved/deleted. Many scripts and vouchers were lost and therefore it is essential that you remake them, just a little hitch, but the section is clearly sorting it out.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 EU (Xbox 360)
Competition Time — A slogan has recently been found "Marines are old news, call in the SAS" by WNx4evaWasted was the winner. The section has also recently been voting on a banner, if you'd like to see the colorful entries here is
the Banner Voting. For the more in-game affluent members there is a 2v2 League you could get involved with. Apart from competitions the Game Champions have been busy holding Game Nights and Events in-game to keep the members entertained.

Bringing the GC total to five and providing a strong leadership team is WNxMoros, WNxCharlie and WNxCallum. Therefore we should expect to see a lot more events coming up with the addition of some more innovative minds.

Counter-Strike: Source The section has been through a tough time and recently the activity has dropped to an all time low. The Dev Supports thought it was time for a change in the leadership and promoted WNxDreamEvil to be the new GC. However with only 5 primaries in February's Rollcall things do not look good for the section and activity has not increased at all. A fresh change can be good,
however if your members don't put in any effort then you're stuck in the some mess you were before.
Dungeons and Dragons Online New Recruits and Promotions — It was a good month for DDO section since they got a lot of new members, which any section in Development needs. The section also had three Game Champion promotions; WnxKrow, WnxGalaxy and WnxVerboten The good thing is that we have many new recruits, the problem is that they aren't used to the forums. Therefore we need to get them active in-game AND on the forums.
The Busy Month on February — Last month DDO hosted many game nights and a lot of funny parties, I personally couldn’t attend the game nights but I did get to got to a good few parties. DDO also won the best section slogan event with the slogan: “Is that a +5 Long sword in your pants, or are you just happy to see us?”, I agree with it being funny. The section is holding a poll to pick the new section banner, since we haven’t got a banner yet. There are just two banners to choose from, they are both very nice banners though.

Heroes of Newerth (Released!) Congrats HoN! Congratulations are in order since HoN section made their way out of Development and I guess it’s the dream of every Game champion. I don’t think there is a single Game Champion who doesn’t dream of geting their section out and become a Grand Master/ Major. They deserved to be released as last month their activity was really good. As such, three members were promoted: WNxNubblyBubbly as Major, WNxKairu as HG Field Branch, and WNxSexyAngel as HG Battle Ops.

An Eventful Month This last month the section's members have been very active, with many day games instead of game nights. I wonder if those game days last a whole day, that would be something awesome. Considering the great section activity it is no wonder that they got their way out of Development. This section looks like a section
which will grow a lot and I wish them the best.
League of Legends All is Swell, Or Is It?
WNxStoneGuard was recently promoted to be GC for the
section and this is great news as he is hoping to be running more US based events. This is great as this means Game Nights are more accessible for all members. As well as great events going on the section finally decided on the slogan "League of Legends - Giving LoL a whole other meaning!" by WNxLazy. However there was recently some negativity
in the section after some members flamed during a gamenight. This ruins the experience for everyone and hopefully there will be no more of it.

MAG (PS3) A Lot of Goings On Since our last report there has been a lot going on in the section. WoW Horde — Auchindoun Well what’s it about this game? I can’t say a word about this section since they have no threads, and I am guessing that it’s because of the problems faced by the whole of WN. They have no Game Champions as of yet, so all I can give you is their roster:

Area 51 Activity — It seems even the lower ranking members are addressing the sections inactivity in the servers and on the forum. Some members seem to play at different times and just miss out on other members; nothing can be done about that…. NOT maybe more activity on the forum and communication via other services can counter this problem.

C&C Renegade I mentioned in my last report that WNxGnrlPayne was at rank one, well it seems our old Major WNxM3 has dug up some more ranks from the WOL (Westwood Online Ladder) for our section. See the full list by clicking the link above, but a round up of the top 3 is: WNxGnrlPayne, WNxOfzo, WNxBowzzz. 8th Birthday Event! - Well this event did shock me, I expected a good turn out but more people showed than I anticipated. Besides the
ranking officers of the section turning up, some old faces did too. Even our old Major, a favourite of the section, Phaze or WNxPhaze or section drunk Geordie. The games were sometimes overshadowed by non WNx members but that’s all good, it was fun none the less. Roll on next year…

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (PC) Well the CoDMW 2 (PC) section has, "The Final Bout." tournament going on. Each month you challenge players to 1v1's to receive points. The top three with the most points get bronze, silver and gold medals. Winners this month included WNxTheDark1, WNxKerr, and WNxBadger.
Some Major changes in the ranks here, almost everyone but Dertz (who changed his name to WNxSwitchBlade) has been replaced.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (PS3) Yup you guessed right; The PS3 Section have a 2v2 tournament on the go. This tournament is broken up in 3 weeks and has been to some extent successful. As all Tournaments there are rules and stuff your not allowed to use. There is a lay-out for the final round and who will play who. This hasn't yet been played so I wish the
two teams left the best of luck! As there are two time zones (EU/US). Because of this they are looking for dedicated people from EU to host some gamenights for EU members so they don't have to lag or stay up to uncomfortable times to get playing. I wish them best of luck on doing this and hope it turns out good.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (Xbox 360) As always sections need oldies for their knowledge of success but to reach that success they need some new members to pass the knowledge too and keep the section strong. Many new members have been recruited, mostly thanks to FO Captain WNxGStenroos!

Call of Duty: World at War (PC) A very sad thing for the WaW section to be on probation with only 14 primary members signing last rollcall and they need 15 primaries. Hopefully the section can pull in a miracle and get their rods out and start fishing!! I wish the section the best of luck on getting their section out of

WNxPesva as FO Captain, WNxLeon for Recon Captain, and WNxCartman for Sergeant Major! The section has also begun a new contest which goes like this: WNxRPE makes a screenshot of a map part in the game, he posts it on the forums and the members
can send him a PM with the name of the map. This contest is ongoing along with a recruitment contest!

Call of Duty 2 (PC) competitive team has been set up named KINDZADZA, so there are tactics needed to use in their endeavors. Because of this need, WNxKrakiie set up a contest where members can submit various tactics and win rep from the section.
Contests Galore! The Call of Duty 2 section is currently boasting boosted activity and is starting some contests! A screenshot contests with traditional rules leads the pack, followed with a Tactics Contest. A serious
Call of Duty 4 (PC) Contests and Team Matches A recruitment contest which you earn points for and when it finishes you get prizes, easy right? A point system was put into place to encourage people
to keep their recruits active. Several prizes include hall of fame recognition, gold trophy, and rep from officers. A guess the map contest has also been introduce with traditional rules.
Combat Arms A tradition proper to Combat Arms section, each members of this gamegroup is awarded one or more ribbons in the style of the military armies in the world. You can find the whole list in their forum. And while the section has 30 members, only 15 are primary, the limit for probation. Let’s hope CA will find some good new recruits
next month along with the 5 new members from this month!

Day of Defeat Source Section Danger!

Unfortunately however, two players left during the past month and no new member came to reinforce the section’s roster. Day of Defeat Source is now on probation. Dystopia Goodbyes and Renewed Vigor WNxGrievous, major of the section, decided to leave not only his section, but Warrior Nation. He explained his departure saying “the Dystopia player base has gone down the drain.” While Dystopia is a
free HL2 mod, its community, as well as most of the game mods, is very fragile. Grievous doesn’t rule out a return if “the Dystopia player base is much more healthy.” Following his departure 11 other players left the nation as well (not reflected in the rollcall), dropping the member

L4D is holding a competition to determine the inter clan ranks of the L4D section, The members will choose a survivor and in the No mercy Finale (a map) they must try to last as many rounds as they can against a tank played by WNx The Pope or WNxWesker. PlanetSide Outfit Night!
On the 20th of February PlanetSide held a Outfit night, 5 people game, they had a blast. John Doe was quoted as saying “Good kills, close calls, and good laughs.”
Team Fortress 2 Gamenights and Control Points!? The leaders of TF2 have finalized their decision and have started up a new subforum called Control Point. This sub forum is based on new members and will help new members understand the rules of WN, the lead-
ership wanted TF2 to be more new member friendly and they certainly doing that, only time will tell if this sub-forum is a huge success or something else. On top of this new forum, they have also had a slur of gamenights including recruitment gamenights!

War Rock Clan Wars and Recon Stars! The War Rock section has currently won 3 clan wars in a row! Can they maintain this awesome form? We will have to see in the future. Well of course it's their first recon HG, but the thread was so cool! Congrats to: WNxNanocinder!
Warhammer 40k: Dawn of War Series Three above standard members got promoted this month, WNxAerin became HG Battle Ops, WNxAbaddon became HG Recon and WNxFUBAR became MP. ing the best members in different Categories. Nominations were held for roughly a week and people could nominate anyone they thought was deserving. The winners of each category can be found in the section forums.

Warcraft 3 Europe 1v1 Internal Tournament Sets Off! As the WC3CL finished, the members of WC3 EU need something to do, so WNxDarkMaster thought up a good idea of a tournament to keep everyone inform. Neverwinter Nights Series Promising Events! Beside those two new recruits I’ve seen a nice activity on the forums, they host many events named “Hip Shot” which are announced 5 hours before the event and half an hour they give the full details. They also have 'The item of the Month', which is an event where people an item name and description, the contest winner get the item he thought about and some experience points. I shall add that it’s a very nice contest, with lots of nice prizes!
