Kachaporn Theeprawat 139 High Street Strood Kent ME2 4TJ 18th August 2015 Dear Sir/Madam I am writing to apply for the position of part 2 architectural assistant. I have recently graduated from Oxford Brookes University in MarchD Applied Design in Architecture with Distinction specialising in Advanced Architectural Design. My focus within the architectural discourse is to explore imaginative concepts of design, culture and the environment as well as balancing functionality, durability and delight to the building or place. I strongly believe that I would be a good addition to your practice as I also believe in an evolution of design and that every piece of architecture needs its own identity. This is present in my recent graduate work of a Myth factory and Clownitecture which have been nominated for The Fielding Dodd Prize for outstanding work and Design Engine Architects Prize for the best physical model. My main skills include an excellent working knowledge of CAD programs, SketchUp,3DS Max and the Adobe Creative Suite. I have moderate experience on Autodesk Revit and Vectorworks, but am confident in my ability to quickly master use of the program with additional training.I like to use a vase range of techniques to create new type of architectural representation.I believe that I can utilise these skills in a professional environment by bringing you a variety of ideas and creativity along with high standard work results. During my Part I year out, I was given the opportunity to work on various stages from stage 1 - 6 for the ÂŁ22 million Phase I and II refurbishment of the MidKent College in Maidstone, together with Denne construction by creating detailed drawings and visualisation for the scheme. I was also able to collaborate with urban designers, landscape architects and other associated consultants. I have also worked on a numerous number of small scale developments ranging from 2 - 30 dwellings by creating stage 4 working drawings with resultant of planning application for the development. I want to further develop my professional career with your practice, as I believe that your practice would be able to help me nourish my skills with every aspect of design and be able to grow personally and professionally in my path to my dream career.I would welcome the opportunity to discuss this application with you further and look forward to hearing from you. I am a British citizen with a British passport and are eligible to work in the UK with full driving license. I am flexible with time and can start immediately. Yours sincerely Kachaporn Theeprawat w : http://kachthee.tumblr.com w : http://issuu.com/kachtheeprawat

M T Y H Is no mystery to be left to us?The world has changed as we are becoming more dependent on technology thus it has gradually deprived us of our dreams – even as it exposed them. Myths gradually disappeared. The need for some sort of belief blurred the boundaries between reality and imagination.

Hence the need for a place where one can carefully crafted myths and con- spiracy is created , embedded in the mysterious island of Es Vedra, Ibiza. The island allows for myths to be create through series of complex process and department such the depository, the laboratory, the manufacture and the dissemination.

M Y T H

FAC TO RY

This project explore the speculative ideas of how myth is formed within the generation Y and its relationship between them.It is also represent the idea of how myth slowly embedded into our everyday life without us realising it.

Oxford Brookes University

The project started with extensive research behind the question of how myth has been created?. Various departments are then designed as part of the myth process such as Depository, Laboratory, Manufacture, Dissemination and Head Quarter. These departments then help form the overall design of the Myth Factory by placing it in suitable location within the excavate part of the Es Vedra Island.

C L O W N I T E C T U R E Architecture exists in an endless negotiation between what we imagine and what we build. Architecture lies in the realm of our perception. Our perception is a form of highly imaginative ideas of realm.

However clown’ perception are a collectable of child-like behaviour and absurdity by doing the unthinkable. Thus clowns are seeking of a way to create a new world, rather than repeating the existing.

As the clown created clownitecture, it became a ‘new world’, where the impossible becomes possible, dreams become reality and absurdity becomes realistic.

This project started with an extensive research into Clown’s perspective. Clown Role play in Brick Lane was the initial study along that will help assist in realisation of a min story which will be used as a base for the design process. Sketch idea is then created as a storyline as to how the clown’s architecture would have look like.

The final outcome of this project is the ability to be able to express avant-garde design and ideas through model makings rather than the traditional architectural drawings.
