Resin Art “Sakura” Welcome Sign

8, 15, 22, & 27 January • 2 - 3:30 pm $78 • Ages 18 & over This class offers resin art with step-by-step instructions. It combines wood as the canvas and resin to make beautiful art pieces for your home. “Sakura,” Japanese for “cherry blossoms,” bloom in

Okinawa as early as late January. A “Sakura” Welcome Sign would be a beautiful keepsake to cherish from your time here in Okinawa.

Note: 1. We will use non-toxic resin, but if you have a resin allergy, please refrain from participating. 2. Women who are or may be pregnant should refrain from participating (for safety). 3. You must wear gloves (we will provide them). 4. Your item will be available to pick up 24 hours after the class. 5. Perfectly cured resin takes 76 hours. Please do not touch or wrap until then.

Beginners Pottery | $60 • Ages 17 & over

1st Sessions: Saturday, 7 January 10 am - Noon (1) | 2 - 4 pm (2) Saturday, 14 January 10 am - Noon (3) | 2 - 4 pm (4)

2nd Sessions (Included in price): Saturday, 28 January 10 am - Noon (1) | 2 - 4 pm (2) Saturday, 4 February 10 am - Noon (3) | 2 - 4 pm (4) This class is an introduction to ceramics in which you will create two original pieces and gain a basic knowledge of ceramics. In the fi rst session, you will work on a wheel to create mugs, bowls, or other objects of your choosing. In the second session, we will trim the bottom of your pieces. Due to the limited number of pottery wheels, session dates/times cannot be interchanged. Customers must come to the corresponding second session.
