WORKAHOLISM IN CHRISTIAN PERSPECTIVES. "If our Jobs take up so much of our energy that Jesus loses predominance over lives, we are in trouble of creating an idol out of our work."

Workaholism is the practice of placing devotion on a career, job to the point of obsession. Often, workaholics will pour themselves into their work with no energy left for anything else in their lives. They rarely rest and may even begin to view friends in light of their career rather than as friends. While the Bible does not mention workaholism specifically, biblical principles can shed light on how we are to treat workaholism. Work is not bad, and hard work is even encouraged in the Bible (Proverbs 6:6). In Genesis 2:15 we see that God placed Adam "in the garden of Eden to work it and keep it." Meaningful work is part of God's design for humans. Ministry work is important; Jesus told us to pray for workers in God's harvest because "the harvest is plentiful" (Luke 10:2). However, as Christians, the work itself is not the point. Instead, work is part of God's plan for our lives. It is a part that we should do diligently, but our primary focus is Christ and becoming more like Him. Many times a person becomes a workaholic out of anxiety. Jesus assures us that God knows our needs and will provide (Matthew 6:25–34). Certainly we are to work and not be lazy (2 Thessalonians 3:10–12), but we do not need to anxiously devote all that we are to our jobs.Instead, our hearts are devoted to God.

Other times workaholism is motivated by greed. We are warned that the love of money is the root of all kinds of evil (1 Timothy 6:10). Jesus encouraged His followers to store up treasures in heaven (Matthew 6:19–21). Our paychecks do not have eternal value. Money is a necessary and useful tool in this life, but money cannot purchase meaning. When we work only to inflate our bank accounts, we fail to invest in things with true eternal value. Placing love on anything over God makes it an idol. We are commanded throughout Scripture to love God over everything else (Matthew 22:37). When work—even vocational ministry work—becomes an obsession, it has taken God's rightful place in our lives. Doing our work in the name of the Lord and giving thanks for the opportunity to work is a great way to center our work on Christ. When we view our employment as an opportunity to advance the Kingdom of Heaven, we refocus our perception of our work to glorify God. When we are more focused on Christ than we are on our work or careers we set ourselves up to maintain a healthy work and life balance.

THE POWER OF QUESTION!

ood uires g ing s req k s g A ion andin t s que derst wn. n o an u unkn he of t Nothing has a power like asking a question. Questions spark curiosity, curiosity creates ideas, and ideas lead to innovation. Asking good questions is one of the most overlooked skills in business today and the value of the great question is rarely considered. We always have so much information at our fingertips that, in many cases, we assume we know the answers. Good questions are essentials to understanding others. Sometimes, we ask questions simply to start a conversation. We ask questions that sometimes seemed to be logical and expected. In many cases, we ask the questions that help us to check our own knowledge of the things which normally already know. In the effort to demonstrate our worthiness to lead, we often find ourselves in a hurry to provide answers. People want guidance, direction, and need to understand priorities. THE GUIDE ONLINE MAGAZINE

E GUID THE INE ONL E IN Z A MAG

Asking good questions requires an understanding of the unknown. When we are comfortable with not knowing something, we tend to ask curious questions. If you are going to start thinking about the power of questions, it is helpful to understand what a fundamental shift it was for humans to learn how to ask them. The desire to ask a question shows a higher level of thought, one that accepts that your own knowledge of a situation isn’t complete or perfect. Many Christians assume they should answer anyone who asks about their hope (1 Pet. 3:15) with a statement, such as a fact or an argument. ANSWERING WITH A QUESTION, HOWEVER, IS ALSO A POWERFUL TOOL THAT CAN BE EMPLOYED SUCCESSFULLY WITH A LITTLE PRACTICE. BOTH JESUS AND PAUL REGULARLY USED QUESTIONS IN EVANGELISM, APOLOGETICS, AND TEACHING.

HUMANS ARE NOT MEANT TO STOP GROWING. In the biblical perspective, transformation means the change or renewal from a life that no longer conforms to the ways of the world to one that pleases God when you read Romans 12:2.

Humans are not meant to stop growing. In fact, no living thing on earth is meant to stop growing. We are all alive, reaching for the sun.Progress in life is not like a game of winning the trophy then you are done. When you say that you are done means that you are no longer reaching and stretching yourself, which means you stop growing.

LEADERSHIP PHILOSOPHY Leadership philosophies help us to understand how a leader comes to power and stays in power. They are not 'designed' to be applied like a model or a style, but they do enable much greater insight into the wider causes of, and effects upon, leadership from the widest possible human viewpoint. leadership is a matter of personal conviction and believing strongly in a cause or aim, whatever it is. It’s almost a state of mind.

07

You don’t have to be ‘born’ a leader to lead, you just need to adjust your mind-set or be suitably driven by a particular causeIf you have strong ethics and a clear vision, then you will probably already by aware of your philosophy. After all, it is this that enables you to grow. It’s essential to use all of the concepts everyone have and everything all heading in the same direction.

Serving means acting for others without any benefit. Our hearts and minds need to be pure and humble.

The essence of biblical leadership is servant leadership. Jesus focused on this in John 13:1-17, giving the example of washing the feet of the twelve disciples. By doing this, he gave them a visible example to help them better understand the actions of a servant leader Servant Leadership Means a Yes to Leadership Typically, we see someone as a leader or a servant, but not both.

Jesus, however, combined the two ideas. A Christ-like leader must think and act with a servant mindset.

RELATIONAL WISDOM. We define relational wisdom as a God-centered, biblically grounded, gospel-driven form of emotional intelligence. The gospel is the motive, the pattern, and the power of relational wisdom. It’s the motive because what Christ has done for us inspires us to respond with grace. It’s the pattern because we look at how Christ lived, engaged people, and took initiative as our example. It’s the power because through the gospel we gain access to the Holy Spirit, who can come into us and help us to replace pride with humility, anger with forgiveness, and so on.The gospel is the fuel for godly relationships. The main difference between secular emotional intelligence and biblical relational wisdom is the gospel.

Many pastors treat biblical wisdom as information that they impart from the pulpit. But biblical wisdom is relational more than it’s informational. James 3:17 says that the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere.Pastors in order to be faithful and effective in their ministries, they need Relational wisdoms. Many pastors are well schooled in theology; languages, preaching, homiletics that is why you cannot find any pastors loses his pulpit for poor skills. But deficiencies in these areas are rarely destroying a ministry. It almost always comes down to relationships. Many people always assume that many pastors have relational skills and also are godly person who gets along with everybody.

Live a peaceful life don't worry about the accuser. LET THEM ACCUSE YOU AND SPEAK WHAT THEY WISH TO SPEAK. YOU ARE LOVED BY GOD. This world is full of dramas if you are not careful enough. You may either die before time or become mad. In this life, we have a lot of people who try to show, say and prove everything you do that is wrong. And when it comes to your ways, sometimes it hurts and distracts everything you are doing. And people who try to say and prove anything about you sometimes feel happy to see you unhappy stressed.

Many people try to cause trouble to others or try to twist things for their benefit. Matthew 7:2; tell us that" The measure you give will be the measure you get", and also Gal.6:7 says "whatever a man sows, that will he also reap". Those verses introduce something known as THE LAW OF PROPORTIONATE RETURN. That is to say, whatever you give away will always come back to you. It is a fundamental rule of life. Whereby if you want people to treat you nicely, treat them nicely. For every action, there is a reaction. For every positive action, there is a positive reaction and for every negative action, there is a negative reaction. THE LAW OF PROPORTIONATE RETURN is a law of life as real and unavoidable as the physical laws that control our world and our bodies.

Please don't quit, don't lose hope, remain silent, don't react, and this does mean that you didn't notice but remember that people who are fools always love to exercise their talents of foolishness.

Movie Reviews

Disappointments and all troubles in our life can make us feel uncomfortable and even make us run away from the presence of God. God is not Dead is a film, which shows different perspectives of people about the existence of a supreme being or a creator. According to Josh Wheaton, who debated his professor believes that God exists and he is the One who is responsible for creating our world, however his teacher, Prof. Jeffrey Radisson argue that God does not exist and that he deliberately denies the existence of a creator, and also provokes his student to write a letter that says that God is dead, in which Josh has never intended to write it and defended his belief. And this is very often even nowadays are turning away to God due to many disappointments that appear anywhere, they may find God not loving and cruel and use to think that God is different from their plights, sadly they lost faith and they unknowingly place unrealistic expectations to God.

Star Rating 10

According to the movie, it teaches us how to trust the Lord no matter what happened in the past.We need to be always prepared to show that the faith we have is so exciting and wonderful that nothing else can compare to it. Helping people to understand the attractiveness of our faith helps us to identify and appreciate the individual elements of the Christian faith. Before we can answer the critics or questions from non-believers about our faith, we need to develop a discipleship of the mind. We need to go further and deeper when we are giving them answers about the hope we have.

Happiness as Knowledge of God.

Happiness is not found in any creature, but in God alone, because every creature has only participated goodness. Aquinas is uncompromising in his view that our true happiness can only be found in knowledge of God. No other worldly good or pleasure can truly provide us with the ultimate good we seek. It is impossible for any created good to constitute man’s happiness. For happiness is that perfect good which entirely satisfies one’s desire; otherwise it would not be the ultimate end, if something yet remained to be desired.

"Therefore, God alone can satisfy the will of man, according to the words of the Psalms (102:5): “Who alone satisfies your desire with good things.” Therefore, God alone constitutes man’s happiness.”

“You can fake almost anything in life, but not your character.” –Anonymous

CRITICAL THINKING.

Critical thinking is not about being negative. The term critical comes from the Greek word Kritikos meaning discerning. So critical thinking is a deeper kind of thinking in which we do not take things for granted but the question, analyze and evaluate what we read, hear, say, or write. It is a general term used to identify essential mindsets and skills that contribute to effective decision making.

Critical thinking is not a matter of accumulating information.
