Materialism is a problem in our community. And consumerism is killing a lot of people. And the majority of people are unhappy with their life and are preoccupied with gaining social status. When you can't enjoy true freedom you surround yourself with the symbols of that freedom. And we assume that we need to acquire expensive accessories or go to expensive areas and get snaps believing that they would give value to ourselves.
The issue is not having fancy items or spending too much money, but rather what it signifies. However, it stands as a symbol of freedom. Don't be preoccupied with gaining social status. Life is more than food, and the body is more than clothes.Remember that caring just makes you weak. They all walk over you when they think you care. Be wise.

People tend to interpret the world according to what they want to see. They filter experiences via emotions and prejudices, only seeing what they want to see. Many people are surprised and even disappointed by others, not because they do not understand them, but because they do not grasp reality. To reflect reality, you must first comprehend its nature. Because reality is subjective. And the majority of their reality is colored by their emotions, which are poor predictors of truth. Think about it more before you come to a conclusion or make a decision. The tragedy, as Julius Caesar defined it, is that what we wish, we readily believe, and what we ourselves think, we imagine others think also. And the Bible is reminding us, don't think we are better than we really are. Be honest in your evaluation of yourselves, measuring yourselves by the faith God has given us.To put it another way, be honest with yourself, and don't let your ego, pride, bravado, or emotions colors your reality. People who place their reliance on their emotions are invariably wrong. They know nothing, they understand nothing; their eyes are plastered over so they cannot see, and their minds closed so they cannot understand.

Any leader must use wisdom to communicate something to people. And you must be careful. Allow me to use a story that happened in September 2006, by Pope Benedict XVI in his speech given at the University of Regensburg in Germany. During his address, Pope Benedict quoted a 14th Century Christian emperor and his remarks were interpreted as an attack on Islam and sparked angry protests in Pakistan, India, Turkey, and Gaza. Pope Benedict was forced to issue an apology in response to the angry reactions.

Yet we tell them we can't and we don't have enough loaves. Our African governments to lack money is not the fault of their people and is none of their business. And, if the bills are too high, they must find the alternative in order to come up with the solutions. Telling people that we can't make it, totally can turn off something and turn on something else. We need to be more careful on how to deal with these people who are seeking jobs and etc.

As I reflected on Jesus' ministry, I realized there is a lot I believe people should learn when they are elected as leaders. The Bible reminds us of the qualities of good leadership when we read Matthew 6: 34-37. When Jesus landed and saw a large crowd, he had compassion on them because they were like sheep without a shepherd. So he began teaching them many things. When His Disciples came to Him, they said, This is a remote place, and they asked Him to send the people away so that they could go to the surrounding countryside and villages and buy themselves something to eat, but He asked to give them something to eat instead. Then they brought up the reason why they shouldn't. They claimed it would cost more than half a year's wages! Are we to go and spend that much on bread and give it to them to eat?
So, then, whenever there are needs to our people, we have leaders who speak like disciples of Jesus in that verses, they always come up with the reason why they shouldn't. People are looking for jobs and others are living in the extensive poverty.
COMPASSIONATE LEADERSHIP IS NECESSARY BUT NOT AN OPTION. COMPASSION IS THE QUALITY OF HAVING POSITIVE INTENTIONS AND REAL CONCERN FOR OTHERS. COMPASSION IN LEADERSHIP CREATES STRONGER CONNECTIONS BETWEEN PEOPLE. IT IMPROVES COLLABORATION, RAISES LEVELS OF TRUST, AND ENHANCES LOYALTY.

It might be tough to tell your brothers, sisters, or friends that they should stop being stupid and fools. I realized that sometimes people who are fools and stupid don't recognize that they are in such circumstances. What you need to do is to pray for them. Remember that you can't talk sense to a fool or a stupid person and expect them to comprehend you or understand you. You don't have to choose a difficult path and be humiliated. Stupidity and folly are evil spirits that possess a person. And many of them are possessed.

PEOPLE ARE ATTACKING THEIR OWN INTERPRETATIONS Chris Ofili used elephant dung in his painting of the Virgin Mary. His work brought a nuanced and complex set of religious and social-political issues. As a result, a large number of people attacked him. His comment was as follows:" People who are attacking this painting are attacking their own interpretation, not mine. You never know what's going to offend people,". Therefore, Chris Ofili's situation and his response make sense since we occasionally attack our own interpretations even when we claim to feel offended. Interpretations are shaped by the contest. We need to have a true contest in order to have a good interpretation. Don't be quick to speak before thinking avoid such catastrophes of embarrassment or shame as the results of your interpretations.
No empty mind There is no such thing as an empty mind. And, in my opinion, the emptiness of the mind is not characterized as a nil or bankrupt mind, but rather that what someone has in his or her mind is empty in the sense that it does not meet the standard of a certain level of thinking for certain people. And it is for this reason that such people do not realize they are empty in their minds until they meet various people who think differently and have matured.

in the 20th century Emile Coue developed a psychological technique related to the placebo effect known as the law of autosuggestion. It is a form of self-induced suggestion in which individuals guide their thoughts, feelings, or behavior. This creates the perspective that the man who wins is the man who thinks he can. Which can be true or not. It is helping some of the people but a lot of people have tried doing autosuggestion to change their beliefs but unfortunately, some failed. They failed to realize that the amount of time spent on suggesting new ideas and thoughts to the minds must depend on something that Apostle Paul reminds us to think about it when we read," Philippians 4:8, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things." This is what I call the Law of autosuggestion according to me. Your mind can be a powerful healing tool when given the chance but on the ground of Philippians 4:8. So, the man who wins is the man who thinks that he can. Which are pure, lovely, true, noble, right, lovely, admirable, excellent or praiseworthy.

Don't live an empty life Don’t live an empty life, unfortunately, many do. A lot of people waste their time doing nothing. And, when we tell them that they’re a time-waster, become aggressive. The problem which is facing the African continent is that many young people, don’t like to be told what is wrong. That is why many are time wasters. Time is important and we must value time. We should program ourselves to do one thing productive and be proud of it when the night comes. The problem with people these days like to rely on orthodox behavior. You may not see that you are wasting time but the future will tell. Nature can’t lie that is to say nature can’t hold the unproductive creature. And the Bible is so clear that” you reap what you sow. The feeling of emptiness among youth leaders is affecting our society at large. The current version of youth leaders in Africa is not a good version that society can be proud of. We have leaders who are selfish, prideful, and arrogant. That is why we still market, the same things during the political campaign. Because we have leaders who are not creative and there is no initiative. And, to the churches, we still cry with the same problems.

WHAT DEFINES GREATENESS Everyone loves to be great but we fail to understand what defines greatness. When you have power, money, and status, the world calls you great. It seems popular to define greatness as perceived success. Sometimes it’s chance; sometimes it’s not. “Some are born great, some achieve greatness, and some have greatness thrust upon them,” says William Shakespeare. Greatness, in the world’s eyes, is about material possessions and accomplishments. There is nothing wrong with having money, status or etc. But none of these define greatness. In the Biblical worldview, serving others for the glory of God. This is the genuine expression of humility; this is true greatness. So, then serving others for the glory of God is what defines greatness. Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms - 1 Peter 4:10
